I've emailed a copy of the label - my items all appeared as "Merchandise"
This month I had a similar issue to Anthony Burgess, who posted earlier today. Normally my order is labelled as "Books" and is therefore exempt from import tax, and more importantly the surcharge our customs people add on to calculate the import tax.
This month the shipping label printed by Paizo has check boxes for
"Documents",
"Commerce Sample",
"Merchandise",
"Dangerous Goods" (presumably anything goblin related),
"Gift" or
"Humanitarian Donation"
But no mention of "Books".
Is this to comply with recent changes in the US Postal Service or similar?
My subscription is for the Adventure Path, Comic, Player Companion and Map Pack/Mat. If I remove the Map Pack, would this result in my order being re-classified as "Documents", or is there some new coding in the system that sets things to "Merchandise" as a default?
Thanks.
Brilliant news - congratulations Rob & Dave, and thank you for all your hard work.

Baba Yaga's Hut was the first stretch goal hit on Fat Dragon Games' Ravenfell kickstarter (3 weeks to go). You'd need to print and assemble the cardstock model, but I be it'll look cool.
And Inner Sea Gods is finished!! Yay!!
Well done guys - enjoy the holidays!
Squeee! From a quick skim through, this looks really interesting. Nice job Ryan.

9 days later, apparently I can wait.... Does't mean I Iike the wait.
Is it two more weeks yet? No? Pah!
Dang it - in October it would already be out.
Stupid September.
Sulk.
I mostly GM Pathfinder Society. I love picking up a scenario set in a particular location, burrowing through the Pathfinder Wiki and discovering all the references to the Golarion lore that's been built up since day one.
It's so cool to see a reference to restaurant in a season 3 scenario, and see it originally mentioned in an old 3.5 module for example. There's so much stuff that builds on previous things, and it's great to share that with players and give them a glimpse of the depth of what's been done before.
That, and all the groupies, obviously.
Only three weeks to go!!
Can't wait.....

You had me at "James Jacobs has been thinking about this for months and has lots of ideas"
Looks like best 4 days in gaming just got even better! Keep on bringing the awesome!
Way to go Rob!! Congrats.
Put Diamond Gate before the Blakros Matrimony. The PC's meet Algorn Desimire's brother during Matrimony, and his background text assumes that Storming the Diamond Gate has happened.
PS that logo would make a great T shirt.
Just saying...,
Keep bringing the awesome! :)
Great news on the best 4 days in gaming.
Any idea when the best 3 days of gaming, aka PaizoCon might go online, lottery wise etc?
The best 2 days in gaming, aka PaizoCon UK seems to be ticking along quite nicely ;)
I will be there.
Kyle - Awesome effort! Thank you SO MUCH for making the magic happen. It is things like this that makes me certain that going to PaizoCon is the right call rather than going to GenCon.
I'm really looking forward to this format - I don't think think the logistics of my home group could cope with a full AP, but this is a really cool alternative.
That will make two of us burning the midnight oil then Pas!
Paz wrote: Have I really volunteered to GM this at PaizoCon UK? Oh boy... Oh yes. Sounds fun doesn't it?
Congrats Dave! Awesome journey so far - may the road go ever on and on......
Argh!!
First the Skulls & Shackles pawns. And then Razor Coast in all its glory. And after that Razor Coast being an option for being available within the Realm Works Kickstarter. And Freeport for Pathfinder being Kickstarted. And buying an extra set of pawns because I wasn't sure if I'd already bought them and they look so damned good.
And now this...
Can I not get a clear sign whether I need to run a pirate campaign or not?
Good call Gary. We can wait for bells and whistles, but such a wondrous thing deserves all the Paizo "love at first sight" you can squeeze in. Go for it!
lonewolf-rob wrote: Razor Coast has been unlocked! Awesome! Best pirate year ever! Congrats. Well done everybody.
And the PFS team gets even stronger! Welcome aboard John! Bring on the awesome! I dread to think how great season 5 is going to be.:) Fabulous news.
Thoroughly deserved Jens!
Keep up the awesome!
Absolutely stunning. Breathakingly good. Wow.
Thanks for all everyone's hard work making this wonderful thing happen.
Golarion data packages? Yes please!!
REALLY excited about this!!
Funded and first stretch goal on the same day - Pele be praised!
What an excellent way to start the day!
Congrats to the Frogs.
Now let's land some stretch goals!
You've got me at $150 level - there's so much goodness in there, gotta get it in print!
That's great news to start the year!
3-07 Echoes of the Overwatched is another
Really useful set of posts.
Thanks
Badges booked! I get to add to my collection of printed copies of Wayfinder!!
Now to hunt down a flight from England to SeaTac.......

Quandary wrote: Darklord Morius wrote: I just want one thing: Don't take away or House Rulling rights. Um, how could this possibly be achieved? Clones of James Jacobs being sent to your living room to enforce RAW?
How cool would that be - having a clone of James Jacobs in your living room? That woud be even better than Paizo Gamespace!!
Of course, we'd need to send a couple of clones to help out the real James Jacobs to free up some time for him to work on Unspeakable Futures.
:)
There were a few people over from Europe, he says smugly. :)
And some folks from New Zealand and Australia from what I remember.
I think Gary's using the PaizoCon attendees as it gives him a manageable number of people to bring into the next phase of testing with the least amount of admin hassle.
Which should hopefully give him a fighting chance of moving on the next phase as soon as possible.
Congrats William,
Wishing you every success!
Just about to email the rest of my Liverpool PF friends why we have never gone to GaelCon, yet.
Well, that makes it one international subscriber at $100.
Looks really good! Early days yet but fingers crossed!
Jiggy wrote: Wow. This is super exciting! Could not agree more - excellent news!
A,D.
I'm coming late to the party, but if you Kickstarter it, I'm in!
Keep lining up those ducks Gary!!
Looking forward to the blog post.
You warehouse guys rock!
Thank you for all your spectacular hard work!
Nirmathas! Hell yes! Full of joy! I love you guys!

Congratulations Jim - your PFS Frostfur Captives scenario was AWESOME!!
It had absolutely everything - tie-ins to previous scenarios, really great premise why the adventure happens, awesome roleplaying opportunities, and so full of flavour!
Really looking forward to seeing what you do with a full module.
Yet another example of how spectacularly cool everyone who works for Paizo is.
And I mean EVERYONE. There's a reason Lisa's so proud of the people she works with.
Just sayin'.

There are two weapons in the playtest that have "backstabber" - the Dogslicer and the Filcher's Fork.
The Dogslicer doesn't even do piercing damage, for Desna's sake.

Is the Phantom Thief supposed to count her rogue levels as vigilante levels for the purpose of selecting social talents, or was it intended that only three Vigilante Social talents were intended to be available/useful?
(Love the archetype, by the way)
Wow, who needs ghost touch weapons anymore? Just grab a couple of scrolls of this for backup.
Looks like it'll be an awesome book.
To the secret masters of the Pathfinder Society, particularly the pony-tailed one,
Any chance of getting Tears at Bitter Manor sanctioned a la Dragon's Demand? With the Campaign Cards shipping this month, I finally have all the pieces I need to run the module, which looks like it's going to be a blast. It'd be easier to dragoon convince some of the local players to sign up for the scenario if it also granted them PFS credit.
I know you guys are swamped with development work and that sanctioning stuff is low on the priority list, but even an ETA would be helpful.
Thanks for continuing to make PFS awesome!

My bard has a Circlet of Persuasion, which provides a +3 competence bonus on all charisma-based checks. Let's say I want to wear Bracers of the Glib Entertainer, which, among other things, provide a +5 competence bonus on Perform checks. Do the two items stack?
My gut instinct is no, as both bonuses share the same type. However, they're competence bonuses to two separate components of the same roll, so I'm unsure. I'd appreciate any insight anyone cares to offer.
I was playing my wizard in a PFS game earlier this evening and ran into the following interaction. I summoned a Hound Archon at a rather nasty Erinyes (SR 19), and had the celestial puppy go over and whack it. At this point, the GM informed me that I needed to make an SR check against the Erinyes, and if I did not make the SR check, the Hound would instantly disappear back to whence it came.
I can't find evidence of this in the rules for SR or summoned creatures, or in a search of this forum. The ruling was justified by making an analogy to the cleric spell Spiritual Weapon, though I have issue with that due to Spiritual Weapon having SR: Yes and Summon Monster IV having SR: No.
Anyone aware of a ruling, FAQ, or chapter I'm missing that says summon monsters have to make a CL check against SR or be unsummoned?
Thanks in advance!
