I am an old RPG gamer, started long ago with first edition D&D and went from there. I have played numerous fantasy, SciFi, modern, and even western themed RPGs over the years. I fall into the group of players, who felt Pathfinder aka d&d 3.75, to the s old timers, is the direction D&D should have gone. I currently play in a 4e d&d group, but I am not very enamored with it. Unless I can create a memorable character, with a unique personality, and tendencies, its just not as fun or memorable. Some of my most memorable characters, were borderline helpful to the group at times, if no help others, and then would step it up and save the day, much to the rest of the groups surprise. I had a AD&D Wild Elf archer named Yolus. He came into a special quiver of Ehlona. He spent 2000gp to construct and produce one magnificent, artwork/masterwork signature arrow, which once placed in that quiver was endlessly, reproduced. Character quirks, are what make them memo able
