Female Tiefling Arcanist/4 -> Woah! Fancy stat numbers!

With Eadoo's words, Jen self-consciously pats the top of her greasy, mud-and-blood-stained cloak. She wonders briefly is she's being mocked.

Draconic "Sorry to barge in, I would have spoken to you at a later time, but..." The reasons already being explained, Jen doesn't bother to finish her sentence.

Draconic "I simply wanted to say that I'm interested in learning from your people. You're often painted in a rather... bad light by us human-folk."

Jen then notices the roster, and, with the practiced skimming of an ex-student with very poor study habits, sees her name within moments. Her gaze immediately falls upon Abaos, the apparent self-declared leader of the group. Certainly, he had said that everyone was free to go and to do as they pleased, but if he was lying, she could hardly take on a room full of his armed allies...

Keeping her tone perfectly pleasant, she asks the nondescript man, "So, is it a secret, or would you like to tell me why my name is on that list?".

Jen notes the tension in the room but tries her best to ignore it. "Um," she says, lamely, "Hi."

She leaves it at that and hangs slightly behind the two kobolds, as if to indicate that they're the ones responsible for this intrusion. As a magic-user, Jen is very used to standing behind people. This translates to the social aspects of her life. :P

Jen looks back and forth between the bantering Garess and Abaos and makes a sorry attempt at a smile that ends up more like a grimace. "I thank you for the blank slate you've offered, then," she says. Her tone is sincere, conveying some measure of her weariness at how far her reputation has preceded her. "In fact, I would be happy to help create something new, if you would have me. However..."

Elminster has pulled his lead long and tight as he ranges out to find particularly chewy bits of flower. Jen tugs on the lead, hard, and, letting out a snort, the donkey moves back towards her. "I'm afraid I don't gamble," she finishes, apologetically.

And then Guthruc yells about weakness and storms off. Jen watches in apprehension, backing away ever so slightly as she's never been quite comfortable around large, violent people aroused to anger.

Moved to Discussion because my reply got too long.

Ozzy, I do have a waterskin so I agree with that, and the grease-to-reveal-invis stuff, but I actually disagree with the invisible scroll thing. I had a discussion with the DM a few months ago about whether or not an invisible person would be able to see with their eyes shut, and we came to the conclusion that invisibility has to be an illusion that alters how someone is perceived, not an actual change in how they interact with light.

If light were bent around you or passed right through you, you wouldn't be able to see, and thus invisibility would make you blind. However, such is not the case in the land of Pathfinding.
