About Carlton Risq
Born into a life a relative ease, Carlton joined the Grand Prince's Regiment of Pike as a brevet lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps. Although the regiment saw action on several occasions, Lieutenant Risq's duties kept him far from the front. When an arrogant poppinjay (who happened to have a rich and powerful uncle) made a derogatory remark about Carlton's courage... well, that insult was answered in blood. Escaping Oppara in the nick of time, Carlton made his way to Absalom with an introductory letter to the Pathfinder Society and a need to prove himself worthy of that illustrious company.
