Cardau looks up when Simon hugs him, and hugs him back tightly. "OK. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell what you guys are talking about, especially Quassine. Those tentacles get in the way. I guess we're ready to go on now?"

Ready to move on.

Cardau stares at the ground and starts wringing his hands as soon as he sees his friends arguing.

Cardau approaches within 30 ft. of a creeper. As he cocks his arm back a snowball appears in his hand. He chucks it towards the creeper.

Casting snowball. If I hit, it needs to make a DC 17 Fort save or be staggered for 1 round.

The important aspect of bonus types is that two bonuses of the same type don't generally stack. With the exception of dodge bonuses, most circumstance bonuses, and racial bonuses, only the better bonus of a given type works.

For the record, I have +4 vs. poison, +2 vs. spells/SLAs, +2 vs. mind-affecting, and +2 vs. charm and compulsion, if any of those apply.

Seeing Xanya riding off, Cardau is curious about what's going on, so he follows her.

Cardau hangs around with Simon and the goatlings, trying to pick up what he can.

Linguistics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Thanks for making it make sense for me to try to pick up Goatling, Simon.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

I'll go with the extra tail.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Because I'm getting enchantment with the free Spell Focus from item at level 3. I want enchantment to be the one with which I get Greater Spell Focus at level 6.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

I think I'm ready.

I'm for saving as many of the goatlings as possible. I definitely want to level as soon as possible, and it seems to me that our former camp is as good of a place to spend the requisite time as any. I'm not sure what use the rest of you may get from Eschew Materials, but I'm looking forward to being able to cast spells without any telltale signs as soon as I get around to taking Still Spell. No murmurring incantations, performing interpretive dances, or any of that silliness for me!

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Cardau sits and listens as the others communicate with the goat prisoner, trying to learn what he can of the language's structure and how it compares to the languages he knows.

The rules for deciphering spoken language are a little unclear. I'm not hoping for a full decipherment yet, though, just wanting to gauge what sort of language this might be.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Cardau walks up behind Simon and catches Goivan's and Qahnaarin's replies. "Yes, they attacked us too, but we got luckier than you guys, apparently. Simon, I've got this. We just need to make sure that none of the goatlings are close by." He turns and looks at the rest of his group. "Oh, yeah, I know we were in a hurry to get here and all, but I'll heal you guys too. Anybody close is about to feel the love of Tsukiyo."

EDIT: I say save your spells, Simon. I have more channels than you have spells.

I'm still here. I don't have much to say, and I figure I can't really read lips while we're all running in the same direction, anyway.

So you are planning on fighting with your staff...

Not really. I guess I need some kind of weapon so that I count as threatening a square, but I don't really plan on fighting with the staff unless I run out of spells and SLAs. I think I'm going to go with Spell Focus (conjuration).

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Level 2

I've switched my sorcerer spells and changed my special item to a staff now that I'm not planning on building around unarmed strikes. I'll pick up another tail with my item feat, if that's allowed; otherwise, I'll take either Spell Focus (conjuration) or Spell Focus (enchantment) (with the intent of taking the other with the free Spell Focus @ level 3).

Round 4:

Cardau tickles the goat-like creature in front of him.

Using my laughing touch bloodline power.

I meant to cast defensively, but I forgot to include the concentration check. Here it goes.

cast defensively: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Round 2:

If it's not too late, I'd like to use misfortune to force a reroll of the attack that hit me.

Round 3:

Cardau yells: "DROP THE SPEAR," pointing at the enemy directly on the other side of Xanya."[/b]

Casting command (Will DC 20) on goatling 1. If it fails the save, it has to drop its spear on its next turn, and it can't pick it up until the following turn.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Cardau carefully steps back between Xanya and Quassine. His birthmark begins to glow as he waves his hands.

Casting bane. All the enemies need to make a DC 20 Will save to avoid getting a -1 on attack rolls and saves vs. fear.

Round 1:
Cardau, unceremoniously awakened by a bounding lizard, discerns from the chaos surrounding him that some sort of threat is outside. He rolls past Quassine and comes up in a fighting stance, ready to engage the enemy.

Double move: roll out of the shelter + stand

Cardau nods at Simon. "I am Cardau. Please make sure your mouth is visible when you speak to me, since I have to read your lips."

Cardau exits the lean-to when it is time for his watch. He starts walking the perimeter, but making sure to stay no more than sixty feet or so from Quassine. Satisfied that everything is in order, he heads over towards Quassine and responds to his attempt to make small talk, trying to speak softly. "Any night is nice when the Prince of Moons is present, watching over us. Speaking of his care, I need to entreat him for tomorrow's blessings. Do you have any idea what might be useful tomorrow? What are your own areas of specialty? The breadth of Tsukiyo's blessings is great; I don't know which of them would be most beneficial."

Looking at Quassine, Cardau says: "If it will make you more comfortable, I don't mind having company during my watch. I should be OK, though, I can see for a long ways, even in the dark." Xanya's hands feel good as they stroke Cardau's fur, but he doesn't dare make any noise because he doesn't know how loud it would be. Instead, he rolls over on his back and flails his legs a little to make it clear he's enjoying it.

Cardau has a green loincloth that matches his birthmark. Other than that, just white fur.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Cardau returns Xanya's smile before replying to Quassine. "And a fine shelter it is, brother. I will stand watch as the moon reaches its height. I must be awake to worship the Prince of Moons then, anyway. Might as well make myself useful. Speaking of making myself useful, Eleanor and Kiki, I think I can duplicate your trick, should the need for multiple water-bowls arise." Cardau grins. "Now, Xanya, I'll take you up on that cuddle offer. Shake me when it's time for me to get up." Then, he snuggles down next to Xanya.

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

Cardau takes the bowl from Eleanor and examines it. Taking his sister's instruction to heart, he replies more softly (though perhaps still a little louder than normal): "Thank you. Did you make this with magic?"

Male Kitsune Cleric-Oracle-Sorcerer 2 Init. +4; Per. +6 (+2 opposed); AC: 16, touch 16, ff 10; HP: 29/29; Fort/Reflex/Will: 8/6/7

A somewhat gangly kitsune with a green moon-shaped birthmark on his right cheek ambles up to the makeshift shelters. Cardau, or "Card" as his siblings sometimes referred to him, waves. "I WANT TO HELP! WILL YOU LET ME HELP? THE OTHER GROUPS WON'T LET ME HELP; THEY SAY I'M USELESS WITHOUT DAD TO COMMUNICATE TO ME TELEPATHICALLY. I KNOW THEY MEAN WELL AND JUST WANT ME TO BE SAFE, BUT I DON'T NEED TO BE CODDLED. I CAN HELP."

The all caps is to represent that he doesn't realize how loud he speaks, since he can't hear it. He reads lips in six languages, though, so communication isn't impossible :).

This is sarpadian's submission. It's still a work in progress.

EDIT: I forgot that there were a couple of questions I wanted to ask. How would Goodwin have felt about neutral oracles who use inflict spells? I can redo Cardau as a Neutral Good oracle if that would fit the campaign better. Also, as I have it written up now, Cardau used his rank in Linguistics to learn to read lips, per the PFS FAQ. Is that OK? If not, I will choose another language.

Here is sarpadian's eleventh-hour second submission, Cardau the kitsune oracle of wood-fey bloodline sorcerer. He's headed down the Archmage path.
