Calina Eloran (originally Adiransha Calina Masktavo ) grew up in Riddleport as the middle child of a dockside tavern owner and seamstress. Even though she could sing well (she learned in her father’s tavern), her older sister, Giansa, tended to get most of the attention as she was training to become a bravo. Calina idolized her sister, yet she grew very jealous of the attention she always received. Her sister, ever loving, took it upon herself to train Calina in the ways of the swordplay. During these training sessions, Calina would sing various pirate songs she heard in her father’s tavern. Unbeknownst to anyone, her singing actually had a magical effect on her skill and combat prowess.

One fateful day during a training session, an argument between the sisters sprung up over a new rapier that Giansa had received from their parents as a gift. Jealous that her parents neglected her constantly, Calina focused all of her anger into her fighting. Calina doesn’t remember what exactly happened, but when their duel was over her sister laid lifeless on the ground. Afraid of what she had done, she took her sister’s rapier and fled the city on the first ship available. Using her charm an her singing to procure passage, she eventually found herself in Port Peril, under a new name and hoping to start a new life and leave her troubled past behind her. She refuses to let anyone know about her past, so she doesn’t really let anyone get close to her emotionally.

Calina wants to hone her skills as a swordswoman, taking at least 2 levels of bard then going swashbuckler the rest of the way. Most likely she will take swashbuckler at second, bard again at 3rd, then finish out swashbuckler. Hopefully she can be somewhere a parrot or monkey are available to become a familiar to her (sea singer 2nd level class feature).
