initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

not really the quickest bunch

M Human Bard 6

".. And so the old pharao secured himself a piece of Osirion with this staff. Now if you would join me at the next display, i'm going to tell you about.." Calib lead the audience to a display near the guard, trying to block his vision, and proceed as planned.

If it is not possible, he will sneak in a ghost sound spell sounding like something crashing in the next room

M Human Bard 6

Calib proceeds as planned, first fascinating the four listeners and the guard (dc 17) then suggesting the guard to patrol somewhere else (dc 17) and when he leaves cast silence on the display, camoflaged by his lecture on ancient Osirion.

M Human Bard 6

"Ok, I've got an idea. While i distract the rest of the guest in this room, i subtly cast a spell of silence over the display and you Heydar, should be able to take the mask without anyone hearing the alarm."

If they agree, Calib will first cast expeditious retreat on himself. Next he will wait untill there is only 6 guests in the room and start a lecture on ancient Osirion (using Oratory and Act to fascinate them), turning their attention away from the mask display.
If any guards are present he will use suggestion ("I'm flattered that you find my knowledge interesting, but shouldn't you be patroling in the other room?"). Once any guards are dealt with and people are fascinated he will keep the fascination and cast silence over the mask display.
On his cue Heydar should move in, grab the mask and run for it. If anything goes wrong and Calib need to flee, he does so using a combination of his already boosted speed (expeditious retreat), his grease spelland his mirror image spell. If any guards should catch up to him he uses glittering dust to blind them.
If he isn't asociated with the theft he will try and cast grease after the last of the party has left the museum.
Action wise it goes something like this:
round 1: expeditious retreat, get everyone in the rooms attention
Round 2: Fascinate
Round 3: Maintain fascinate (free action), Suggestion on guards
Round 4: Maintain fascinate (free action), Silence on display
Round 5: Maintain fascinate, give Heydar his cue.

That is 1 lvl 1 spell, 1 lvl 2 spell, and 4 rounds of bardic performance

If he fails to fascinate all in the crowd, are there are too many guests/guards he suggest they use his wand of silent image and a ghost sound spell to fake a theft from another display

M Human Bard 6

"I would definitely prefer if we could persuade the good Mr. Docent into giving us the mask for this purpose. I've had dealings with him before, though professional only so I don't know if that would be any help at all. He is, like any other Osiriontologist I know, extremely protective of his findings and his research. If he won't give it up, i see no other way than to borrow it without his permission. We will of course return it afterwards."

Calib will look for Arch Docent or his office.

M Human Bard 6

Calib is ready to move on to the Exhibitory

M Human Bard 6

"You have been very helpfull Raegos and we thank you for that. Now we need to find that merchant and hope he didn't sold it. Seems very unlikely. Fortunately for us such a mask can't have been cheap so that leaves out several options. I am quite sure we need to find a rich collector or noble of some sort. One last question Raegos; did you told any of this to other than us?"

Knowledge local to know who it could be 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

M Human Bard 6

Calib will also try to compare raegos information with what he already know. He is taking 10(for a result of 20) on arcana, history, nobility and religion to see what he knows about the pharaos and the pyramid

M Human Bard 6

"Do you know why it was important you were 10 in your expedition? And what happened to the mask afterwards? Where is it now?"

M Human Bard 6

"You are the only one to have seen the inside of the pyramid on lived to tell about it. If you won't help us, your statement will probably prove to be the truth. We are going in there in any case, and we are going to need every bit of information and help we can get if we are to have a chance to survive in there"

Versatile performance (perform oratory -> Diplomacy) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27

M Human Bard 6

Good point. I think Calib would ask her politely to wait outside. Important mission, bla bla bla.

M Human Bard 6

"Are you Raegos? My name is Calib Anumari, osiriontologist and adventurer. We all work for the Pathfinder Society. As you might have heard already the pyramid of the Four Pharaos of Ascension has been uncovered by the elements frenzy in the dessert. We were told you once were a part of an expedition into the very same pyramid 50 years ago, and you might hold important knowledge we would do wise to inquire about before starting our own expedition"

M Human Bard 6

My computer has been picked up for service so for the next week or so i can only post from work and none in the weekends.

M Human Bard 6

Yes calib will bring her along unless anyone protest
"Actually i can't really say to much about where we are going. We are on a dangerous and important mission for a powerfull employer, that's all i can tell you at the moment." he answer Neferet, trying to sound important and intriguing.

On the way over to Raegos he will chat her up flirting in a subtle (though not indiscreet) way, asking more about who she is and how she became interested in history. He will tell her about his expedition and close to death enounter with the mummy, and show her his scar on his chest.

Spoiler:
But not tell her or anyone else in the party about the curse he suspects is haunting him

----

Hearing Dar's request to study the scrolls Heydar bought he chimes in
"I too would like a chance to study those. Though astronomy is not my field of study, I am knowledgeable in a broad area of subjects... And i've had dealings with this Paracount before and can smell his dirty cheating fingers all over this. Lying about the authenticity of these scrolls would not be beneath him, though i can't seem to figure out what is in it for him."

----

At Raegos

Hw will reluctantly hand over his notebook and scrolls
"I assume these will be guarded somehow? In these books I have assembled notes and knowledge collected through years of study and hard work. If anything were to happen to them I would be most displeased. Pissed off really. But i guess you sometimes have to make sacrifices and take risks in the name of knowledge"

M Human Bard 6

Calib can't believe his own good luck when he first get the parchments, and next get contacted by a woman. Is she attractive?
He smiles at her "Well, I am pretty learned in ancient osirion myself, but a little cooperation has never hurt anyone. I'll take you up on your offer, miss Neferet. The name is Calib Anumari" he answer and bow to kiss her hand.

M Human Bard 6

'100? That's probably more than these are worth. Oh well, can't put a price on knowledge'

"120 gold pieces"

M Human Bard 6

"55 gold pieces"

Ok well, lets use my bid as the first one. How about this next auction someone bids 25 another follows immediatly with 35. Than maybe one more auction where we bid first.

Let's go with that. 25 has been bid

M Human Bard 6

"25 gold" he announces as arranged, and send a smug smile at Paracount.
'This is it. I just hope the Mithril Scarab won't get confused when i actually start raising the bids for these' he thinks for himself and chuckle quietly

He will also try to appraise the parchments 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

M Human Bard 6

Mostly interested in books or other text Calib saves his money for other items.

He raises an eyebrow and turn around in surprise as the dwarf enter the bidding.

M Human Bard 6

Calib has not been this excited since he heard the first rumors about the uncovering of the pyramid of the Four Pharaos of Ascension. Normally when he was walking through the Malhitu Bazaar he would take time to stop and browse the different stalls hoping to find something something the seller didn't know the value of. But this was different. There simply wasn't time for simple browsing today. Something much larger and much, much more important was right before his grasp.

He is wearing his favorite brown vest opened just enough so you can see the scar the mummy left, runnnig down his well trained chest. His trademark whip is belted on his hip next to an expensive looking quiver, wich look rather wierd concidering he is not equipped with any ranged weapons.

As he makes his way through the maze-like streets he walks by a camel riding, rough looking dwarf making a rude gesture towards a cart driver yelling at him. With a shake of his head he put it out of his mind and moves further along the streets. Soon after he finds the tent he is looking for.

He walks up to the entrance where he show his invitation. This isn't like any other auction wich takes place on a daily basis. This is an underground auction, the kind wich is known to host several valuable artifacts, and held by the Kemesarian. A man known to deal in genuine artifacts. This can only be good.
This is not the first auction of this kind Calib has attended. In fact, ever since the rumors began he has been to every auction he could find, spending all of his money tomes and artifacts from newly looted tombs.

He moves through the crowd and spot several known faces he politely nod at, including Arch Docent with whom he has dealt with several times before. Suddenly his expression change and his smile turns to a frown as he spots an old rival; Paracount Julistar.
'You've got to be kidding me... What's that spoiled little upstart doing here? Oh, and look he's brought his minions along. Great. Well Paracount, tonight just ain't your night' he thinks and moves closer, determined not to let him get away with another batch of treasures like it happened at the last auction both of them attended.

Suddenly he realize he's been so caught up in old rivalry that he allmost forgot he wasn't here on personal business. A week ago he was contacted by venture captain jalden Krenshar on behalf of the Pathfinder Society. The Society had heard about Calibs expedition and had offered to finance another expedition to the newy uncovered pyramid of The Four Pharaos of Ascension. After the venture captain had convinced him that it was no joke he had eagerly accepted. That is why he is here now he reminds himself, to meet with a contact called the Mithral Scarab.... And to buy a few valuables of course.
'Maybe the key to the curse is in this very tent tonight. How fortunate would it be?'

With his smile and excitement renewed he settles in a couple of seath behind Paracount and his group.
'Hope mommy and daddy provided you with enough money tonight, jackass, cause this one you won't win so easy'

He reach inside his backpack and pull out a couple of heavy notebooks containing description of various well known artifacts. Each of the books is stuffed with pieces of paper filled with notes Calib has added himself. As he's done looking through his notes he look up and spot the burly dwarf from the street and wonder what such a primitive person might be doing in a sophisticated place like this, surrounded by intelligent people.
'Perhaps he's the bodyguard of a merchant or something like that. He might even be the bouncer'

M Human Bard 6

str 13 (3 points) +2 for human, +1 for lvl 4, +2 for belt = 18
dex 12 (2 points)
Con 12 (2 points)
Int 14 (5 points)
Wisdom 8 (-2 points)
Charisma 16 (10 points) +2 headband

3+2+2+5+10-2 = 20

I like this option.

hp 7d8 + 25 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 1, 6, 7, 6) + 25 = 57

He is done except for a background.

Here is the monk. Not totally done, but allmost.

Here is Nasad Kholgi the Telepath, with stats and background completed.

:) no need to. I'm changing him into a human psion

Okay i have at last decided to go with a Psion from the XPH. Since there is already a summoner in the group it will definitely not be a shaper.

Which source is the swashbuckler you're using from? I don't recall the one in Complete Warrior having Weapon Training.

Sorry. Read tome of battle as tome of secrets, so both the swashbuckler and the artificer i made was from ToS.

Hmm. Will have to do some rethinking then, but i will still have him finished today.

Okay, i ended up with the swashbuckler. I will finish the last details tomorrow.
