About Calandra
I was raised on D&D. My mom bought 1st ed. when it hit stores, and has played every edition since (except 4e), teaching my brother and I along the way. My first DMing experience was in 5th grade--"Defeat the Gorgon," which I co-authored. It was about defeating a gorgon.
I played in my parents' group just about every week since middle school (D&D bringing families together ftw!). I have fond memories of Against the Giants, Keep on the Borderlands, and the Speaker in Dreams. Since I left for college, I've tried several times to assemble my own group, but I've yet to find players quite as fun as old-schoolers.
I've got several advanced degrees in Greek literature, with which I'm doing next to nothing. Right now, I'm a freelance writer of math books and a math tutor of desperate students while I write fantasy fiction, because that's the real goal. I've written a few stories for Pathfinder Chronicler. You should read them here, or in this or this!
(I got my ability scores from a nifty quiz! You should try it, here.)
