Regarding your Aegis Inquisitor:
Inquisitors are not proficient with Martial weapons so they would not be able to use their shield with TWF without incurring the non-proficiency penalty on top of the TWF penalty.. They would need to take Martial Weapon Proficiency (shield) in order to use it properly.

Shield Bash: If I am proficient with shields, can I make a shield bash without a nonproficiency penalty?
Armor proficiencies and weapon proficiencies are different things.
Table 6–4: Weapon (page 142) lists light shields, heavy shields, and spiked shields as martial weapons. The shield bash attacks entries (page 152) say that using a shield in this way is a "martial bludgeoning weapon."
Regardless of whether or not you are proficient in wearing a shield for defense, attacking with a shield is using a martial weapon and you take appropriate penalties if you are not proficient in martial weapons (for example, if you are a cleric, you take a –4 nonproficiency penalty when making shield bash attacks because you are not proficient in martial weapons).
Shields are specifically called out on the Martial weapon list (Shield, light is a light weapon while Shield, heavy is a one-handed weapon).
I think my biggest gripe with Channel is the either/or aspect of healing living or damaging undead. I, personally, believe that Positive energy should do both at the same time.
Male Human Cleric 1
Holding the Imperial writ in his hand Brendan approaches the Baron discretely. "A word, my lord. If I may?" Handing the Writ to the Baron he continues "Your lady wife thinks that the news would be better coming from me about the accomodations set aside for our 'esteemed' guests. Pitching his voice low he says "and she has asked me to act as their chaperone while they are in your barony, to prevent any mischief from occuring to, or from, them. With your permission, of course"
Male Human Cleric 1
"Fear not m'lady. I will be glad to escort our "guests" around the castle and tourney grounds. As for the sleeping arrangements I can broach the subject with the baron if you'd prefer?"
Male Human Cleric 1
Brendan will appear shortly before the festivities begin dressed in a white and gold-trimmed cassok, the gold key of Abadar around his neck. He will spend a majority of the happy hour before the feast walking amognst the low tables making small talk with those present.
Male Human Cleric 1
Seems like I've got quite a bit of catching up to do
Brendan will return to the clearing with the two foresters. After helping bury the remains of the poachers he will say a prayer to Abadar for the safe passage to whatever realm awaits them after death.
Since no one has spoken up for the dead stag Brendan will load the carcass on his horse. Once they pass through the village of Dwarf's Bridge Brendan will stop off at the village headman's/mayor's house and drop off the stag, saying "Two men paid the ultimate price for hunting this beast, and, I think it only fitting that there families should recieve this bounty. If those men were from here please see to it. If they were not, then let the village use it to celebrate the tourney."
Once they return to the castle Brendan will return to his office and strip off armor and prepare to bathe. Once clean he will don his ceremonial robes and spend the time before the banquet in prayer.
Male Human Cleric 1
Unable to control his skitish mount, Brendan will dismount and take a swing at the boar.
Attack roll: 1d20 ⇒ 4
The Dicebot seems to have it in for me today. Can't seem to connect in any game I'm in.
Male Human Cleric 1
As Brendan urges his mount across the field towards the huge boar he draws a bead upon it and fires his crossbow.
Attack roll: 1d20 - 7 ⇒ (13) - 7 = 6
Stowing the now spent weapon Brendan pulls his morningstar and attempts to keep his now skitish mount between the wild boar and the villagers.
Male Human Cleric 1
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Perception check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Taken aback by the sight of the huge beast Brendan is a slow to react. seeing the creature charging at the defenseless serfs galvanizes him into action. looking at Kerdin he stares uncomprehendingly "What wolves? What are you talking about, man?. I can only see that monstrosity charging those fieldhands."
Ride check: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (5) - 2 = 3
Unsuccessfully trying to control his fractious mount Brendan is forced to find a less perilous route down the bluff face.
Male Human Cleric 1
Heal check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14 (untrained)
Perception check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
"These men were more than likely illegaly poaching on the baron's land, but even they didn't deserve this end." Brendan whispers a silent prayer for the fallen men.
"The creature that did this must be of enormous size" a slight shiver travels down his spine.
Male Human Cleric 1
Brendan looks up sharply at the unspoken rebuke, then bows his head. "She has her father's spirit. She'll make someone an... interesting wife"
Male Human Cleric 1
Brendan will preform a channel energy on the wounded of both parties.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 2
"Fear not, my lady. The gods are sometimes fickle"
And another (if necessary)
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Brendan mutters under his breath "Like now, for example."
One last time,
Channel Energy:1d6 ⇒ 6
As the last of his healing energy is spent Bremdan will approach Sir Geoffery and says "My lord, the injuries to you and your men today could have been avoided. Since they were not, they are your responsibility. Since I have called upon Abadar's holy power to heal those wounds I charge you with making restitution for such divine restoration. When you return to town you WILL go to the temple and make a donation, whatever you think appropriate, for that healing. Rest assured, my lord, I will know if you do not."
Male Human Cleric 1
A surge of exultation runs through Brendan as Sir Geoffrey falls, quickly quashed before anyone else notices. "Serves the little bastard right for starting this."
Brendan waits impassively until the townsmen bring Sir Geoffery to him and will then cast a Stabilize on him as well.
Male Human Cleric 1
as each of the fallen combatants are brought out the enuing melee, Brendan will cast stabilize on each of them in turn.
"We'll wait until this is over then I can heal them properly, otherwise all Abadar's work will be undone before this is through".
Male Human Cleric 1
Sorry, had my Sir "G's" confused. Yes, Brendan will exclude Sir Guy from the healing burst.
edit: I almost forgot, everyone on our side gets an extra 1 point of healing from the Channel energy and Clarius gets an additional +1 from the cure light spell.
Male Human Cleric 1
I'm out of spells, all I have left are channels.
Brendan will hold his holy symbol aloft and pray "Oh Great Maker, please send your power down upon these, your children, and heal them of their wounds."
Channel energy: 1d6 ⇒ 5
If any of the Viscount's men are in the area of.the burst, Brendan will exclude one at random. Unless it's the Count himself, then he gets excluded.
Male Human Cleric 1
Seeing Clarius fall, Brendan will assist the villagers in carrying him off the field. Once on the sidelines he will cast Cure light wounds on Clarius before going over to Aydan to administer first aid.
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Healing check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
"You'll be fine boy. Once this nonsense is over, a little bit of the Builder's divine power should fix you right up"
Male Human Cleric 1
Don't forget about the +1 from the Bless
As Sir Garrett, Sir Jaymin, and Master Clarius each prepare to joust Brendan will approach each individually and use Inspirirng Word on each before they tilt. granting each a +2 morale bonus on attack rolls, skill checks, ability checks, and saving throws for 1 round.
Unfortunately it doesn't stack with the Bless
Male Human Cleric 1
Knowledge (Nobility): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
"Fear not, m'lady. I wil not deny anyone the healing power of the Supreme Lawgiver, provided they make proper restitution to the Temple." looking down at the young girl "Sir Geoffery began this fray and should be held responsible for the injuries to his men."
Male Human Cleric 1
"If swords must be crossed, then so be it. Bow your heads for a benediction. Oh most holy builder shine your light on these brave men as they prepare to bring glory and honor on Baron Redwyrm." Brendan casts a Bless on the party, then continues under his breath "And kick the little snots backside up around his ears."
Male Human Cleric 1
Knowledge (nobility): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Brendan, in his tabard of white and yellow emblazoned with the key symbol of his god, approaches the servant and looking past the man adresses the Viscount directly.
"Lord Geoffery, these are not your lands and you seek to stop the Baron's retinue from returning to his castle. You and your men please step aside and allow us to pass. If you wish to test your prowess there will be plenty of opportunity to do so once the games begin. This shameless display does no one any good and smacks of downright thuggery."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Well, that's not going to go over very well
Male Human Cleric 1
Brendnan is common born as well, although his parents were rather wealthy merchants. I made Brendan quite a bit older (but not middle aged) to represent the time spent in the preisthood, his tours of duty in the city guard, and time with the Baron's houshold. So he's probably known you all for several years now.
Bio up and last feat chosen, should be all done except for gear/gold. Waiting on the final word for that.
More melee oriented, yes, but I prefer using Brevic diplomacy*.
*Brevic diplomacy= the ability to tell someone to go to Hell in such a way as to make him look forward to the trip.
Talomyr wrote: Just taking a quick look at the character, you seem to have shorted yourself a feat. Yeah, still a work in progress. Should have the background done soon (it's all in my head, just need to get it down on...paper?)
Would typing it in Word constitute putting it on paper?
Mikmek, you have nothing to fear from me as long as you abide by the laws of the kingdom and behave like a civilized member of society. Transgress those laws and I will give you a stern talking to.
