Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Just wanted to say I'm still here if you'll have me in the game. Been really busy with the holidays and working 2 jobs (previously no jobs when this game started).

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Sorry, didn't notice the updates sooner. Been busy starting a new job.

Brazimal steps into the room looking around. Seeing a kobold at the far end of the room she sends an orb of arcane force at it.

Move to I18 and cast Force Orb on K2. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 vs Reflex. On hit 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (6, 8) + 4 = 18 force damage. Nothing on miss. Plus my (non)Perception check 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal stays in the back of the group after lingering too long in the last room.

Perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal stalls for a moment looking at the portcullis lever wondering how she could have missed it, before heading after the others.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves up and looks for the lever Jocarra saw in the hopes she can use her magic to open the portcullis.

Move to F7 and Perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0. If she finally sees the lever, then I use Mage Hand on the lever. "Kronk pull the lever! Wrong lever!!!"

"Ow!"

I just realized, anything keeping Brazimal from just using Mage Hand on the lever?

I think the fact that she didn't notice the lever is holding her back... Not the most perceptive tiefling out there.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal scans the room and the area beyond the portcullis for a lever or switch with which to raise the portcullis. Not seeing anything immediately she moves to take cover from those behind the portcullis.

Perception 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1. Move to J8.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves forward and flings a spell at two of the kobolds. Praying that her inexperience doesn't flub this spell too.

Move to G9. Scorching Burst on G4, since its a burst 1 it should hopefully hit both S2 and K3. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 vs Reflex on S2. 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 fire damage on hit (nothing on miss). 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6 vs Reflex on K3. 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 fire damage on hit (nothing on miss).

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal begins weaving a more complicated spell hoping to end this fight faster.

Cast Sleep centered on D9. Should hopefully catch both S and K2. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 61d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11 vs Will. On a hit target is slowed, save ends. If the target fails its first saving throw against this power, the target becomes unconscious, save ends. On a miss the target is slowed, save ends. Then move back to K9.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves up and casts a spell prefering to take the offensive. A ray of ice shoots out from her finger towards the kobold.

Move to I10 and cast Ray of Frost 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 vs Fortitude. 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 cold damage and target slowed on hit.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Initiative 1d20 ⇒ 17

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Stealth 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves up as well.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal follows behind the others attempting to be quiet.

Stealth 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

All her suggestions and she still manages to blunder about like a herd of elephants.... She's real subtle....

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

"Best to use some restraint and caution though. It may have spotted us and been running to warn its nest mates."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal smiles, secretly relieved that she and everyone else is in one piece and appear unharmed.

"See, told you there was nothing to fear!"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves to the center of the room with the glowing, spinning symbols and runes.

"Don't let that idiot Tobolar try and scare you. His knowledge of magic is so pathetic he lights himself on fire. It will be perfectly safe to travel since Tobolar didn't have anything to do with this circle."

She then steps within the glowing circles and waits expectantly to be whisked away to Kobold Hall.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal takes the small book, quill and ink from her master and places them carefully in her backpack.

"Thank you master, I'm sure I will put them to good use."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal stands by the doorway still holding a kobold in her arms.

"Master, are you alright? What happened?"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal helped clean up after the meal and rounded up the wyrmlings before finally heading to bed. It had been a long day and she wanted nothing more than to lose herself in sleep.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

"I did mention it to them master before we left for the bluffs. But Lareth said 'As my Step ma says theres no use jumpin inta the fire when you're already cookin in the frypan.' and said we should check out the bluffs first. I was going to ask them again later if they'd accompany me to Kobold Hall after we had rested the night and made sure the wyrmlings were taken care of."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal finishes eating and takes a big gulp of water before launching into her tale of how the others found the kobold lair in the bluffs, their encounter with the sergeant and the great battle within the caves. As her tale winds on she over embellishes all of the children's heroics and actions making it sound like there was an entire army of kobolds who were in the cave and the only thing between them and the town were her and the rest of the party. With her description of the battle over she describes the kobold wyrmlings crawling out from behind rocks and their sad hungry faces.

"So you can see, that's why we couldn't just leave them down there."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves down the stairs after her master and waits quietly behind him.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal puts on her best teary eyed face and looks at Nimozaran while sniffling occasionally.

"Master my new friends and I, we were exploring the kobold's lair that was at the bluffs and after we killed some guards we found out there were wyrmlings in the lair and now they have nowhere to go. I couldn't just leave them there to die. I was wondering if you could take them in? Please!"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal, seeing no sign of her master, rushes up the old stairs to the research lab. Breathing heavily at having to run all the way up she knocks on the door before opening it.

"Master, forgive my intrusion, but I need your help."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal glares at Tobolar as he threatens to remove the hatchlings.

"If you lay one finger on one of these wyrmling's I will personally send you to the eighth layer of hell where you will experience new meanings to the word pain!"

Intimidate check 1d20+3=15

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal pushes past the halfling, shaking her head. "Why don't you just step aside before you set yourself on fire again?" She then turns to the stairs leading up and yells, "Master! I've returned! Ummm.... could you come down here?" She quickly turns around and grabs one of the hatchlings as it runs between her legs.

Draconic:

Spoiler:
"Don't worry little one, we'll get you some food in a moment."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal nods and begins attempting to herd the hatchlings together so she can lead them to Nimozaran's tower.

"Thank you again for the help down."

Draconic

Spoiler:
"Come on little ones! Lets see if uncle Nimozaran has any food for us!"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal looks over the edge after Lareth and frowns.

"Anyone have any ideas on how we are going to sneak off quietly with all these little ones running around?"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal follows the others back the way they came, all the while cooing at the hatchlings, hoping to keep them calm.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

"I don't believe the guards could have done this."

Brazimal moves up to the symbol and begins brushing away the dust. After a few moments she stands up and looks back at the others.

"Its the symbol of Tiamat, goddess of wealth, greed, envy, and patron of chromatic dragons."

Amazing, I made both checks. Perception 17, Religion 27.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal looks torn for a moment as she looks back and forth between the hatchlings and her new companions.

"What about the hatchlings.... and the prisoners?"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Perception check 1d20-1 [11,-1] = (10) .

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal softly nuzzles the young kobold on her shoulder back. Then looks sadly at the other little ones who've arrived. Being an orphan herself she felt compelled to help them, but she couldn't think of a single way how to. If only she were older, bigger, stronger she could take them in. Maybe teach them proper magic...

She looked up at the rest of the group an idea circulating in her mind.

"That's it... I'm not sure if he would allow it, but I could ask Master Nimozaran if he could take them in."

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Stifling a laugh, Brazimal runs up to Corrin and attempts to help get the kobold off him. Hissing in the sibilant tongue of the kobolds.

Draconic:
"Child calm down. Please come to me."

Indeed, thank you very much! I'm really enjoying the game!

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal looks to the kobolds and begins rummaging in her pack for her rope. Pulling out the rope she sets to work attempting to tie up the kobolds.

"Prisoners...didn't see that coming. So what do we do with them now?"

When we take a short rest I will spend 2 healing surges so I'm at full hp.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Wish list in profile now.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal moves away from the corner and casts another spell.

Move to G10 and cast Scorching Burst on SL1 1d20+4 [18,4] = (22) vs Reflex and against Kol 1d20+4 [3,4] = (7) vs Reflex. Damage 1d6+4 [1,4] = (5) fire. Wasn't sure if I needed to roll an attack for each seperately or not.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

In that case I stay where I am.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

I can't see the map. I will move close enough to attack HD with Ray of Frost 1d20+4 vs Fortitude [18,4] = (22). Damage 1d6+4 cold [6,4] = (10)and target is slowed till the end of my next turn.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal rushes into the corner in the room and casts another spell of ice, this time at the kobold Kronag moved up to.

Move to L10 and cast Ray of Frost on SL1 1d20+4 vs Fortitude [6,4] = (10). Damage if hit 1d6+4 [1,4] = (5) cold damage and target slowed until end of my next turn.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Laz

Spoiler:
You are correct for me, I only have 15 hp going in to this fight. I forgot to heal earlier. My profile should show my current hp.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal calls on her arcane energy and casts a ray of frost at the kobold next to Kronag, unfortunately her aim is off, but with surprising speed she launches another ray at the kobold before it can recover and dodge her attack again.

Ray of Frost on SB 1d20+4 [3,4] = (7) vs Fortitude, spending 1 action point to use Ray of Frost again on SB 1d20+4 [10,4] = (14) vs Fortitude, cold damage 1d6+4 [4,4] = (8) and target slowed if hit.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Initiative 1d20 [18] = (18)

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Perception 1d20-1 [5,-1] = (4) I will be second to last.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal tries to put on a brave face as the group prepares to move on, but her hands shake as she holds her quaterstaff out and tries to cast a light spell to illuminate their way.

"Un..dead... no problem..."

Streetwise 1d20+5 [7,5] = (12).

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Stealth check 1d20+2 [1,2] = (3)

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal ties the rope around her and shouts up to the others,

"I'm ready when you are!"

Athletics check to aid 1d20+1 [8,1] = (9). Good thing I'm having the others pull me up.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal arrives at the bluffs after visiting with her master per his instructions. Nervously she looks at the rope and watches as Corrin falls. Looking up at the others on top she shouts,

"Is there no other way up?"

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

The small tiefling looks to the others with a sly smile on her face.

"Well, let me know when and where you want to meet to get this expedition underway so I can finish taking care of what my Master has tasked me with."
