Looks & Personality
This 6'6", 250 lbs dwarf (he was adopted*)has an honest face and a robust body.He speaks of Torag or mining with passion. He enjoys to meet people, and is genuinely interested by them. He's slightly ashamed that his attempt at growing a beard are not up to a true dwarf standard. He's not too bright, probably because he banged his head on the mine's ceiling too much. He considers himself as a dwarf, and is sometimes baffled by humans.
Background
Bran Berakin was only a baby when he was found down the mountains by a small group of dwarf warriors patrolling one chilly morning in the winter. A small cart was upturned and still burning, people who were attacked and killed by bandits. Having no choice, the dwarves took the small baby back into the clan's home, deep under the earth. A priestess of Torag took care of the baby, having lost her own son a few weeks ago.Bran grew up to be twice as tall as a "normal" dwarf, and become a good miner and a holy man. His adoptive mother send him to the town, so he could meet humans and be able to choose in which world he wanted to live.
Unknown to Bran, the man who was responsible of his human parent's death was Gaedren Lamm. Maybe the young man could find some of his family in the town.. but it's been so long ago...
*note: yeah, I'm a big fan of the recently departed Terry Pratchett and his Discworld books. So this is a twisted rip off of his "Carrott Ironfounderson" character.
