About Bo'az

"Ahh...You're bleeding... let me see what you taste like..."

Rejected by his parents for his appearances of deformities, (diseased blind looking eyes, rough scaly skin, a blue tongue, and a tiefling tail) he was left in the southern woodlands of Isger to die, but was rescued by a druid. The male elf druid, Raileaf, was the custodian of the wild woodlands of south Isger, and rescued Bo'az more out of curiosity than compassion or pity. Raileaf recognized him as a tiefling from the bumps where horns would supposedly grow on his head (but never did), and the primitive looking prehensile tail. After several days of internal debate, Raileaf cut off the baby tiefling's tail like clipping a dog's tail, with the expectation that Boaz would do better to pass for a type of half-orc half human, than live what little chance of a life in Isger with the obvious traits of a tiefling. As Bo'az grew, his skin became less human-like and more scaly, lizard-like, his tongue a blue-grey, his eyes appeared diseased and blind yet he was able to see easily in day and night. His hands became larger and thicker with claws. He retained a very human appearance otherwise.
Bo'az had a curiosity of studying dead animals which disturbed the druid, so Raileaf made life in the forest so strict and aggravating that Bo'az left to see how life was in the human towns. But before getting very far he was captured by a small bandit group of goblins. The goblins tried to burn him, then left him in a wood cage overnight in the snow to freeze, but Bo'az continued to appear immune to these conditions. They bargained a deal that Bo'az would be the camp cook and butcher anything they hunted. (That included a gnome once.) One day, the bandit goblins did not return, so Bo'az left the camp to find them, and found their remains scattered around a wrecked wagon. After being briefly distracted by picking at the dead goblins to study their anatomy, he followed the wagon and horse tracks and eventually came upon a small trader caravan of 3 more wagons of mostly human merchants, an elf, and half elf.
That night he got ahead of the caravan and began walking slow, so the caravan would eventually come up behind him. He made up a ruse of being a poor homeless traveler trying to get to the next town, and that his dog had been killed by goblins. The caravan took him along. Once at the next town, he found work with a farmer to butcher the livestock for the market. Finally, guts, blood and gore, and getting paid a wonderful paltry peasant's rate for it...what could be better?!
