In the frigid, rugged lands of the Linnorm Kings there are a rare few who are born under the sign of the Bear. Many view these births as a bad omen and leave the care of such children in the hands of wisemen, priests or shamans.
Bjorn was one such child. At a young age his divine heritage became manifest and he quickly learned to harness his 'gift'. Some claimed that Bjorn's mark of an ancient beserker curse, others said it was it was the mark of a great warrior. It was only the village wisewoman who secretly told Halfir that his father was in fact possessed by the spirit of a great cave bear, but she was half drunk and raving at the time.
At the age of twenty he returned to his home village and was coldly welcomed by everyone with the exception of his mother and younger sister. Fearing that his family would suffer on his behalf, Bjorn knew he could not remain at home. Now, Bjorn believes he must leave the lands of the Ulfen and prove that his powers are not a mark of evil... but of greatness.
