![]() FYI, Bijannar starts to hum this suggestive tune as he finishes his glitterdust spell. ![]()

![]() Bijannar, who had a spell readied (and isn't surprised) steps into the doorway and targets all three men with his spell. (Assuming they're grouped together - as per the map - he'll target all three. Otherwise, he targets the two on the left.). Spellcraft DC 17:
glitterdust, DC 16 Will save. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 for Bijannar's initiative roll!! And it looks like I'll get my spell off before they go! GM: Almost forgot my spell failure chance. 0-5% chance I loose the spell on a d100. 1d100 ⇒ 24 And I'm GOOD! Boooooyaaaaa! Bring on the failed Will saves and BLINDNESS!!! ![]()

![]() Bijannar sighs, rests his hand on his weapon, and slowly starts up the stairs. He follows his companions up and around the corner, taking care not to push past any of them or to crowd those hanging back. He keeps an eye on their rear, a spell: ready on his lips if there is need. glitterdust ![]()

![]() Thomi: Between you and I, I'd be careful with multiple rolls. If you fail by 5 or more, you generally set off the trap. Take a peak. ![]()

![]() Bijannar pulls a candle from his pack, lights it, and uses the wax to seal the stopper in place, adding some cloth to reinforce the seal. He then pads the whole vial with some cloth, securing it inside his satchel (on the inside flap) with a bit of leather. When he's done, he puts the candle out and places it back in his pack, thinking to himself. When Toranindracar speaks, he responds, somewhat dreamily, "Ahhh... yes. Let's press on and see where this adventure takes us." ![]()

![]() Bijannar quickly stops the vial and looks at Aegwyn, responding, "You detect life in this liquid? Did you also sense the presence of magic about it? I had not yet focused my arcane forces..." He let's his voice trail off at the implication, studying the glass vial closely, bringing it almost to eye level, to see if whatever dwells inside responds to his aura, his nearness. ![]()

![]() Once it's safe, Bijannar walks up to Thomi and looks at the ancient writing. Is this ancient Sylvænar or fairly standard? Ie, has the language evolved over the centuries? If so, what would the DC be for a Linguistics skill check? I'm tempted to assume it's a 30, which puts it out of my range, even if I do take a 20 to decipher it (best I can do is a 25). Bijannar leans over and whispers to Thomi, "So, I guess we missed that bard's performance last night, eh?" ![]()

![]() Bijannar pulls himself along the tunnel ceiling as best he's able, hanging upside down above the lip of the tunnel and looking down. He whispers to the group, "Pssst.... Hey Toranindracar. When you guys get down, would you slowly lower me down?" ![]()

![]() Bijnnar, hanging out just in front of Brogdar when he slips, attempts to dash out of the way. Reflex save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 ...and falls flat on his back. He begins to follow Brogdar down the stream, struggling to keep his head above the water as he does. Swim check 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10 (masterwork studded leather = no AC penalty). He barely keeps his head above water. Well, this ought to be interesting.... :) ![]()

![]() Toranindracar Well, that's sort of what I do. ;) I don't like to design outside the mechanics because it doesn't give GMs room to make those changes and, in essence, forces them to adhere to an individual's 'house rules' (or loose interpretation of said mechanics). It's perfectly fine for something like this, however. I just like to assume the default is based on the mechanics as written. I spoke with Chris today, however, and he informed me he didn't intend, at least for this PbP, to hold on too tightly to the mechanics. So, in that light....
