Barbarian Abilities: Barbarian ~ Uncanny Dodge Tracker Bonus Surprise Accuracy Barbarian: Add +1/3 to the bonus from the surprise accuracy rage power. (+2) Bonus Trap Sense Add a +1/2 bonus to trap sense. Fast Movement (Ex) Your land speed is faster than the norm for your race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when you are wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load. Improved Uncanny Dodge (Ex) You can no longer be flanked. This defense denies a rogue the ability to sneak attack you by flanking you, unless the attacker is a rogue of at least level 4. Reckless Abandon (Ex) While raging, the barbarian can take a -1 penalty to AC to gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls. The AC penalty increases by -1 and the attack roll bonus increases by +1 at 4th level and every four levels thereafter. Trap Sense (Ex) You gain a +1 bonus on Reflex saves made to avoid traps, and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps. Uncanny Dodge (Ex) You can react to danger before your senses would normally allow you to do so. You cannot be caught flat-footed, nor do you lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. You still lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. You can still lose your Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against you. Rage (Ex) You can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting you additional combat prowess. You can rage for 14 rounds per day. You can enter rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours do not need to be consecutive. While in rage, you gain a +4 morale bonus to your Strength and a +4 morale bonus to Constitution, as well as a +2 morale bonus on Will saves. In addition, you take a -2 penalty to Armor Class. The increase to Constitution grants you 10 hit points, but these disappear when the rage ends and are not lost first like temporary hit points. While in rage, you cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. You can end your rage as a free action and are fatigued after rage for a number of rounds equal to 2 times the number of rounds spent in the rage. You cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted but can otherwise enter rage multiple times during a single encounter or combat. If you fall unconscious, your rage immediately ends, placing you in peril of death. Surprise Accuracy (Ex) You gain a +2 morale bonus one attack roll. This power is used as a swift action before the roll to hit is made. This power can only be used once per rage.

All halflings are seized by wanderlust, but for Belladonna the pull of the horizon was always particularly strong. Fractious, unruly, and given to starting fights on any pretext, her small community of Applevale was glad to discover one morning that she'd stolen a bunch of pastries and set off on her own, following Hedge Lane all the way out to the king's highway, and there disappearing without ever once looking back. Life wasn't kind to Belladonna, but she gave as good as she got, her ferocity and no-holds-barred attitude toward defending herself often taking her enemies by surprise. Indeed, she quickly learned that the best defense was an offense before the other party had fully resolved itself to fight, and found that by launching herself screaming at the enemy with a broken bottle she usually won fights several rungs above her paygrade. Everything changed for the better during a stint sleeping in the ruins of an old manor estate. There she heard the piteous barks of a puppy from the ruined kennel, and there found a sweet looking corgi surrounded by the remnants of its litter mates, a dire weasel moving in for the final kill. Belladonna drove the weasel away with a barrage of rocks and flung knives, and then brought the puppy - whom she named Sugar Loaf - back to her den, where she spent the next few months raising and caring for it as if it were her own. Sugar Loaf grew. And grew. And kept on growing, till he stood as tall if not taller than Belladonna, and she could ride on his shoulders as he raced across the land. Her whoops of delight trailed after them as she took to the open road, the horizon suddenly so much closer than before, Sugar Loaf as eager as she to explore what lay around the next bend in the path. |
