Background
Bastian was always an adventerous child, often spending every day in the woods hunting dragons and orcs with his home made spear. It was with great glee that he accept a cheap broken spear from his father, but to him it was a magical weapon the like of which had never been seen before. He didn't notice the bear and her cubs that one fall evening, but the bear noticed him. Charging forward the bear lunged upon Bastian, but Bastian stood firm and swung the tip of his spear, catching the bear in the throat. It was several hours before his father came along looking for him; "hello father, I seem to have a bear on top of me" Ballow his father could barely see his son's head poking out from under the bear. "My what a warrior we have here"!
A mud witch? A witch that lives in the mud? Who has heard of such a thing? Amazing that a witch could live in the cold wet mud. It is only a tale, most likely it isn't real, but what if it were? What if there was a witch in the mud, OH WHAT A SIGHT THAT WOULD BE! He would be the first to see it and that would be treasure enough for any Gnome!
