In addition, once per week you can make a DC 15 Knowledge (local) or Intelligence check to see if you know a popular legendary pirate tale, the telling of which grants you a +1 trait bonus on checks made to influence NPCs on the ship.
Home Port (Port Peril): You have a fondness for a particular port, and the people who live and do business there return the sentiment. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks to gather information in your chosen home port.

Weapon Focus (Heavy Blades): You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Class Abilities:
Swims Like a Fish (Ex): A sharptooth gains a swim speed of 10 feet. At 5th level and every 5 levels thereafter, her swim speed increases by 5 feet.
Rage: A barbarian can call upon inner reserves of strength and ferocity, granting her additional combat prowess. At 1st level, a barbarian can rage for a number of rounds per day equal to 4 + her Constitution modifier. For each level after 1st she possesses, the barbarian can rage for 2 additional rounds per day. Temporary increases to Constitution, such as that gained from bear’s endurance, do not increase the total number of rounds that a barbarian can rage per day. A barbarian can enter a rage as a free action. The total number of rounds of rage per day is renewed after resting for 8 hours, although these hours need not be consecutive.
While in a rage, a barbarian gains a +2 bonus on melee attack rolls, melee damage rolls, thrown weapon damage rolls, and Will saving throws. In addition, she takes a –2 penalty to Armor Class. She also gains 2 temporary hit points per Hit Die. These temporary hit points are lost first when a character takes damage, disappear when the rage ends, and are not replenished if the barbarian enters a rage again within 1 minute of her previous rage. While in a rage, a barbarian cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skill (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration (such as spellcasting).
A barbarian can end her rage as a free action, and is fatigued for 1 minute after a rage ends. A barbarian can’t enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted, but can otherwise enter a rage multiple times per day. If a barbarian falls unconscious, her rage immediately ends.
Barbarossa Hatfield was born and raised in the Shackles. Sailing, piracy, and shanties are in his blood, even if he isn't the most competent sailor yet. For the most part, the intrepid halfling has made his living by plying his skill at song and storytelling in the various taverns and ships of the Shackles, and occasionally beyond. When song won't cut it, he'll work aboard a ship as a deckhand to pay his fare to the next port. In his lifetime, he has lived a life worthy of the tales he spins (if you believe him anyhow), having had many a dangerous encounter on the seas. In reality, the stories are far more sensationalized than the truth. The truth being he's seen just about the same level of danger as any other sailor or pirate, and usually with a crew surrounding him. Altogether, as lucky as his people are, his luck is quick to turn sour in the face of a consistent phrase that passes his lips; "What's the worst that could happen?"
The newest chapter in Barbarossa's life has taken him to the Formidably Maid of Port Peril, of course to ply his skills for coin and a free drink or two or seven. It would be just his luck to have gotten his wish.
A jolly sort, with a come what may attitude. Loyal to his friends and those he deems friends, and will do just about anything for them. A heart filled with wanderlust, he doesn't like to stay in one place too long, and that suits him just fine. The sea is his home after all. Generally honest, even if he has a propensity for exaggeration in his stories. Ultimately, he's the sort to take life in its entirety, the ups and downs, so an optimist of sorts. Loves to tempt fate.
