Special Abilities:

------------------------------
SPECIAL ABILITIES
------------------------------
Dragonmaw: Your draconic heritage makes you smile- not just because it makes you happy, but also because your powerful teeth and jaws are proof of your kinship with a chromatic dragon. You gain a bite attack that deals 1d4 points of damage. Once per day, you can deal 1d6 points of fire damage with your bite attack. This racial traits replaces the armor racial trait.

Crafty: Kobolds gain a +2 racial bonus on Craft (trapmaking), Perception, and Profession (miner) checks. Craft (trapmaking) and Stealth are always class skills for a kobold.

Day Raider: You're one of the few kobolds born with a greater tolerance for sunlight. You don't have light sensitivity, and you have low-light vision instead of darkvision. This racial trait replaces light sensitivity and darkvision.

Channel Energy 30ft Radius, 1d6 Positive Energy, DC 13

Dragon Domain: Venomous Stare (Sp): You are a true lord of reptiles, able to induce pain, panic, and confusion with a mere glance, and your mesmerizing eyes can even drive weak creatures into unconsciousness. As a standard action, you can activate a gaze attack with a 30-foot range. This is an active gaze attack that can target a single creature within range. The target must make a Will save (DC = 10 + 1/2 your cleric level + your Wisdom modifier). Those who fail take 1d6 points of nonlethal damage + 1 point for every two cleric levels you possess and are fascinated until the beginning of your next turn. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. This is a mind-affecting effect.

Trap Domain: Artificer's Touch (Sp): You can cast mending at will, using your cleric level as the caster level to repair damaged objects. In addition, you can cause damage to objects and construct creatures by striking them with a melee touch attack. Objects and constructs take 1d6 points of damage +1 for every two cleric levels you possess. This attack bypasses an amount of damage reduction and hardness equal to your cleric level. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Background:

Bahboku was once the sole servant of an adult bronze dragon who called himself "Valdrerius", whose lair resided on a small island off the coastline of the Shackles. He was raised since he came out of his egg by the dragon, the young kobold never even seeing another of his kind throughout his entire life. His master was a scholarly and reserved creature, rarely bothering to leave his lair for anything other than what he held a passion for; knowledge. He would scavenge for artifacts, tomes and scrolls on the mainland, bringing them back to his personal library for study.

Valdrerius had always considered himself a servant of the Waybringer, which had intrigued Bahboku. He began to research the deity his master had referred to. Poring through tomes of knowledge, he began to learn of Apsu, the Maker of All. He learned of the many legends of how he created the world, the gods, and all who inhabit it. He began to study the dogma of the legendary god, and slowly became a devout of the deity.

Bahboku had enjoyed educating himself on the world around him by drawing from the repository of knowledge he lived in, but was slowly filled with a sense of wanderlust to experience the world that his new god had created. He decided to leave his master's home one night, taking with him the supplies he would need along with a single piece of tapestry that Valdrerius had claimed as his banner. He cut a hole for his head in the banner and wore it as a tabard, proudly displaying the colors of his master as he set off to see what the world had to offer.

He stole his master's boat and set sail for the general direction of the mainland, trying to read the stars. However, Bahboku was far from an experienced sailor. As he reached what he could assume was the coastline of the mainland, a storm swelled, slamming his ship into the rocky coastline and casting him into the ocean, sending him floating back to the shore.

All but his most valuable possessions sunk to the bottom of the ocean, and he awoke on the beaches of the Shackles. As he brushed himself off, he noticed civilization; a dock. He wandered towards it, carrying his small pack of mostly waterlogged food to the nearest inn. Wet, irritated and alone, the kobold bought a room for himself and promptly went to sleep.

The next morning he gathered his bearings and set out to the dock. Perhaps he could find some type of adventure in time. After all, this was what he came here for.

Right?

Appearance and Personality:

Bahboku is a small, lanky creature, like most of his kind. His body is coated in red scales which gleam in the sun. He has two pupiless azure eyes that carefully study the foreign landscape around him. He also posses a toothy maw of mismatched teeth, each sharper than the last. Small spikes dot his maw and run down his back.

He dresses in loose blue and black robes, with a bright white tapestry, though it's symbol was ruined by the ocean water soaking it. He carries a plain wooden staff that he uses like a walking stick, with a small wooden crossbow on his back. A small, dented circlet with a cracked crystal sits on his crown, clearly ravaged by time.

Bahboku is curious to a fault, though his natural paranoia tends to keep him in check among more dangerous situations. He is patient and kind, as his master was, though he is somewhat cowardly. He much prefers the idea of reading a dusty tome than being tossed around on the hull of a pirate ship, but anything that allows him to see more of the world is something he can tolerate.
