Does Paizocon have an "exhibit hall" like area with stores (such as Paizo), artist booths (such as Wayne Reynolds), etc.? What are the hours they are staffed/open? Where are they located within the hotel? Forgive me if this has already been covered elsewhere (I couldn't find anything). Thanks!

On a related note, will there be a Reaper Miniatures Paint & Take again this year? And how does that work exactly?

OK, If any of you know what Car Wars is and want to see it resurrected for a new edition from Steve Jackson himself, now is the time to act! Steve Jackson Games is currently running a Kickstarter for Ogre (a different game) that ends in 4 days. If you pledge $23 ($30 internationally), you can get a Car Wars T-shirt, and if the Ogre Kickstarter hits $700,000 (It's currently at about $600,000), they'll officially launch a Car Wars Kickstarter as well. Booyah!

I have fond memories of Car Wars. It's like playing a role-playing game of Mad Max or The Road Warrior. Designing your car was always my favorite part--outfitting it with things like machine guns, armor, pop-up turrets, or even spike droppers and oil slicks. In a post-apocalyptic world, Car Wars was a fight for survival on barren highways, in Autoduel arenas, and everywhere in between. Ah, the memories! Let's bring it back!

Steelhawks

Alignment: LN

Headquarters: Hall of Blades, Absalom

Leader: Talenger Vyse

Structure: Free Market Meritocracy

Scope: Regional

Resources: Forges, warehouses, and weapon stores throughout the major cities of the Inner Sea

The Steelhawks' goal is simple: to be the greatest arms dealers on Golarion. Having originated in Katapesh, their name pays homage to the "steel hawkers" of the Lower City Bazaar. The Steelhawks pride themselves on providing high quality weapons and ammunition, as well as armor and gear. They also sell magical weapons, or can arrange for Steelhawk mages to enchant equipment. Always trying new and exotic weaponry, they see any war fought on Golarion as both business opportunity and field testing. Their symbol is a hawk with wings made of sword blades.

Structure and Leadership
The Steelhawks' base of operations is the Hall of Blades in Absalom, which houses one of the most extensive weapon collections in the Inner Sea. Standing within the organization is determined by a complex hierarchy of challenges and duels, as well as successful weapons trafficking. Rank and file traders are simply called "Hawks." Whether alone or in caravans, Hawks travel well-armed, carrying several items to sell, including local specialties produced by the nearest Steelhawk forge. After selling some or all of their wares, they may return to receive a commission and resupply. Their mainstay, however, is taking and filling custom orders.

Goals
Key to the Steelhawks' success is their ironclad neutrality. They have no qualms about war profiteering, but they make it clear in any conflict that they are an unaligned third party and will sell to both sides. With the addition of new trade routes to Tian Xia, however, Talenger Vyse now dreams of dominating all arms trade across Golarion. With black market sales, bribes and threats to secure government contracts, and even going so far as to engineer the outcome of battles by hiring out Hawks as mercenaries and then covering up their involvement, Vyse is leading the Steelhawks away from neutrality and down an increasingly darker path. This has caused bitter dissension, shaking the faction to its very core.

Public Perception
Their goods may be slightly above the reach of an average citizen, but the Steelhawks are still known far and wide for outfitting the armies of nations as well as adventuring heroes. It's common knowledge that challenging a Steelhawk to a duel and winning will earn you a temporary discount.

Gloves of Reconnaissance

Aura faint divination; CL 3rd
Slot hands; Price 2,000 gp (lesser), 5,000 gp (greater); Weight --
Description
Also called casing gloves by thieves scouting a location they intend to rob, these leather gloves have designs embroidered on the palms in thick silver thread, one depicting an eye, the other an ear. Once per day, the wearer’s sight and/or hearing may bypass any material in a 30’ cone as if it wasn’t there. To begin the effect, the wearer presses one or both palms to an object (the eye for sight; the ear for hearing) as a standard action. The wearer may then maintain the effect for the remainder of that round and up to four additional rounds. Contact with the initial object must be maintained with at least one glove, or the effect immediately ends. As per the spell clairaudience/clairvoyance, lesser Gloves of Reconnaissance do not allow magically or supernaturally enhanced senses to work through them. Greater Gloves of Reconnaissance, however, do allow this.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, Clairaudience/Clairvoyance; Cost 1,000 gp (lesser), 2,500 gp (greater)

I absolutely LOVE Pathfinder. I've been on board from day one when my Dragon magazine subscription carried over into Rise of the Runelords. I absolutely love Paizo as a company as well. When Pathfinder Online was announced, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

That being said, I am VERY concerned about Pathfinder Online's initial 4,500 player cap. I understand the limitations and the business model, but when the game comes out, I want to play it. If I can't, words cannot describe how disappointed and unbelievably pissed off I will be.

I realize the plan is still taking shape. I know we'll hear more over the coming weeks and months about how all of this will work. As a devoted Pathfinder fan, I'd like to be able to relax, follow the game's development, and look forward to playing it. Instead, it appears I get to worry and stress about how to get a spot in the game.

NOT. COOL.

Am I missing something? Jumping to conclusions? Overreacting? Does anyone else share my fears?

Here's the *link*.

It took the real world a long time to include druids, and it took 4E till the 2nd player's handbook. Let me just say that I, for one, am glad druids got the love from Paizo/Pathfinder right from the start! :)

OK, I know this has been brought up before, but I just saw the thick cardstock monster and character tokens from the new 4E Red Box starter set, and now I really, really wish Paizo would make some!

I think about all the great artwork in the Pathfinder Bestiary, for example, and how awesome it would be to have monster tokens for all of them. I realize you can make your own, but some official, well-made ones would be extremely useful!

I think it would be cool if you could buy a set of tokens for each bestiary that comes out, but also sets for each adventure path. The adventure path ones could come with exactly the tokens you need, and the larger bestiary sets could provide multiples of monsters that are commonly encountered in groups.

These would probably need to be produced on page-size sheets (as opposed to card-size) to be able to accommodate huge, gargantuan, and colossal creatures. Just as long as they aren't random! I don't want to have to buy multiple packs to get the tokens I need.

I know tokens aren't for everybody. If you prefer minis, paper minis (i.e. that stand up), or something else, that's fine. To each their own. But I am curious how many people out there would buy something like this, or if they have any other visions of what these could be like.

Did I just see what what I think I saw? Will this be the final cover art for the Pathfinder RPG? I was just browsing Wayne Reynolds' website and came upon this:

http://www.waynereynolds.com/Fantasythumbnails/Pathfinder_RPG.jpg

Note the name of the image file.

I think it's an awesome picture! I love WAR's art like no other, and I think it's a very iconic image--dragon, sword, and sorcery! :)

It also looks to me like there just happens to be room on top and bottom for a logo, byline, etc. ;p

Anyway, judge for yourselves! ~Svev

P.S. If someone already pointed this out in an existing post, my apologies. I searched and couldn't find one.

Literally: Which passages of text from the 3.5 core rulebooks (or any other books), at the basic minimum, when combined with the Pathfinder RPG, give you everything you need to play?

Another way of putting it: What specific elements are missing from the Pathfinder RPG book that would make it a complete system?

Sorry to be lazy and ask for help in figuring this out, but I think a canonical list would be very helpful to people.

And if the passages of text have errata that you know of, please mention it and where to find the errata. Maybe we can come up with the rulebook Paizo would be allowed to publish in a perfect world. :)

Um, is it just me, or does the Andoran Eagle Knight that showed up on the Pathfinder blog April 10th have a disproportionately tiny head? Trust me--the longer you look at it, the more it will bug you! :)
