Great tips Vrog and a nice review. The back up healing will be handy for levels 4-6 when I plan currently plan to go wizard and then to Mystic Theurge at 7th.

Those were some good tips. Having skills outside of combat is really important. there's nothing worse than bringing in a full combat character into a social or puzzle situation where kitting things doesn't work all that well. I had that problem with my Samurai, my first PFS character, who was not very good outside of combat...at least not in the beginning.

Nothing like learning through experience, eh? :)

Not that it has come up, but the "t" at the end of Support is silent (think french or Stephen Colbert).

I was wondering about that.

Here is my previous submission, a Core Ranger.Sahara Hawkseye.

im hoping that she'll be able to back up folks, with some me lee and ranged and cure spells, though it will be a while until she can cast them but there's always wands.

Here is a Core Ranger that I would like to submit, Sahara Hawkseye.

She has one chronicle already but that should be okay according to what was discussed previously. If not, then please let me know and I'll roll up something else. :)

I'm interested. Core suits me just fine. I have a couple of characters that I could bring in.

Congrats everyone. Have fun.

GM Phntm888:

Having some attachment to Sandpoint will not be a problem. Although I did not explicitly state it in the characters background, I was thinking that Noirin would have spent some time there, probably long enough for her to get to know her relatives and grown fond of the town. This would be why she would have chosen it as the place where she would want to settle down and try and start her own business.

I'll add something into the background to this effect.

Was there anything else? I know that we're getting down to the wire and the final selection and just want to make sure that I'm in serious contention for a spot. :)

Updated character link

Ha ha. Not a problem here. Guess I'll just keep an eye out if any spots open up.

Enjoy.

Did a little more work on the background and personality. Let me know if you have any other questions.

GM Phntm888:

Did your Favored Class Bonus go to Skill Points?

Yes it did. I forgot to mention that.

Did Noirin grow up in Magnimar or Sandpoint? Either way, I'd like to know what her relationship is with her cousins Kendra and Gaven, the mayor of Sandpoint and one of the owners of the Two Knights Brewery, respectively. If she grew up in Magnimar, how long has she been in Sandpoint? Is she arriving just in time for the Swallowtail Festival, or has she been there for a while?

This was one of the things that I wanted to expand upon. I envisioned Noirin as having spent some time travelling around and visiting Sandpoint several times in the past, since her family has quite a bit of influence in the town. Prior to the start of the game, she would have arrived several days ahead of the Swallowtail Festival, looking to help her cousins set it up, deliver ale kegs, whatever might help her to get a leg up in starting her own business.

If it would help mesh with some ideas of yours, I can alter the relationships that she has with Kendra and Gaven, depending on how you want the story to play out. I haven't played Runelords before so I have no idea the impact the relationships would have.

Here is my submission. I have a few minor details to firm up with the appearance and personality but the rest should be fairly complete.

Noirin Runesong, an Aasimar Merchant slash Shield Champion.

I'll toss in my interest. I've been itching to play Runelords. I'll get a Character submitted by tomorrow.

This sounds interesting. My old group in real life used to rotate GM's and it was fun. I do have a few questions though. What scenarios have you already played and which are you planning on playing next? How is the next GM determined?

I'm going to have to bow out as well. Good luck to the others and have fun.

I started playing a campaign similar to this but it fell apart after the first three scenarios, the same ones that you have listed for level one.

Can we submit a character even if we've already played the first three scenarios? Other than remaining a level behind the rest of the party, I'm not sure what effect it would have.

Dotting this one as well.

Congrats to those who made the cut. Have fun. :)

I have a character that I could bring in, though I just need to make a few modifications to better fit this games guidelines.

This sounds interesting. What is the cut off date for submissions?

Here is my submission for the game.

Tamerlin Den'essi, Aspiring Sable Company Marine.

Background and writing sample are on the character page. Let me know if there need to be any changes to better fit in with the game.

@ The Wicked GM

What are your thoughts on the viability of the Sable Marine Ranger Archetype? It suddenly hit me that this is the book that introduced them and they might be interesting to try out.

Dotting for interest.

Dotting. Will have to read through those Kirthfinder rules and see what inspiration comes.

Still interested. I'm just trying to decide between an investigator or a Magus. Or maybe throw a Spellslinger into the mix there somewhere. Iron Gods is just screaming at me to make a Pc with a gun of some sort. :)

Also interested. Are there any restrictions on class or race?

I've been reading up on the WoP and I'm intrigued. I'm debating whether or not to submit a sorcerer and really play with the system or a Magus.

Time to start crunching some numbers and see how things shape up.

I'm up for a wee bit of rebellion. Let's see what boons inspire me. :)

boon 1: 1d30 ⇒ 14
boon 1: 1d30 ⇒ 24

That gives me,

You can use Words of Power spellcasting (Ultimate Magic) instead of normal spellcasting if you are a spell caster.

and

You can be from somewhere else in the Inner Sea region than the countries normally allowed.

Hmm. I'm not familiar with Words of Power. I'll have to look it up.

Signed up and awaiting the roll of the dice. This sounds like a good chance to try a character that I haven't played yet. :)

This sounds interesting. I like the idea of characters being chosen by a god.

Have to see what my muse can come up with. :)

I'm interested.

Dotting my interest as well. I'm going to take a look through the player guide and see what strikes my fancy.

Brawler 3?

This sounds like a fun challenge, so I'm stepping up.

I haven't played any of these modules before.

1. Profile name. Bryan Lee
2. Can you RP? Yes. I like to interact with game worlds and NPC's.
3. How many PBP games are you currently playing? Just 1 at the moment
4. How often do you usually post? 1-2 times a day
5. Rank the party positions by your priority with 1 being the highest.
1 - Arcane, 2 - Ranged, 3 - Melee, 4 - Divine, 5 - Face/skill

This does look intriguing. When do we have to submit characters by?

I have a level Dwarven Monk that I can bring in.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I saw the Lego Movie opening weekend and really enjoyed it. It did get a little...odd is the best word that I can think of at the moment...towards the end and that kind of messed with the flow of the movie in my opinion but it was still enjoyable.

I laughed as soon as I saw Benny and his cracked helmet. all my Lego spacemen ended up with cracked helmets so it was a cool detail.
