Ayla is just over 3 ft tall and weighs about 35 lbs. She has ash-blonde hair and a tanned complexion. She has deep blue green eyes. She wears light dragon skin leather armor, various tribal jewelry, tribal tattoos and very little else. She carries a heavy wooden shield into combat. She also always has her Telenta spirit mask on her at all times; most often hung around her neck and placed behind her back whilst not in use. Personality:
Ayla is a bit brash and blunt. She would rather dace around a hunt than dance around words. Don’t let the way she speaks fool you, Ayla is quite wise. She has learned to practice patience with the cityfolk, but she would much rather be in the wilderness, living off the land. She has a strong loyalty to friends and would put her life down on the line for them. Cherished item & Background:
Talenta Spirit Mask. It is the only keepsake she has of her old home, Except for her companion, hammertail. Ayla was her Alanti Tribe’s Telenta Mask Weaver, The head druid of her people. However when the rival Zarandi tribe came, They numbered her tribe 10 to 1. There was nothing they could do to stop them. Since killing a mask weaver, even of a rival tribe , is considered taboo, she was the only left living, even when she begged them to kill her. With nothing else for her she decided to enter the Zarandi Territory and slowly kill them off, like a slow venom. However she never got the chance. On her way to the Zarandi Village, she ran into the Karrnathi army. Apparently the Zarandi attacked them, and the army destroyed them. The army needed a guide through the Telenta plains, and with no other purpose, Ayla decided to accept. They were reinforcements on their way to Cairn Hill. Apparently they was going to be some big battle there. With Ayla’s help, they were able to make it through the plains in good time. At Cairn Hill, Ayla met Dalvan ir’ Tolvek. The man had taken a liking to her, and she was placed as a wilderness scout and healer in his personal unit. It was in this unit that she met Tarn Govander. Tarn was a Halfling from the house of scribing. He was a strong man, with a great deal of pride. Tarn was a bard and inspired the troops in battle. They became quick friends and fast became lovers. She also made friends with two other people in that unit. A warforged Wizard, named Metallik and a female shifter archer named Lina. Ayla Instantly took an interest in the warforged, as she had never seen such a strange creature. On top of that, he or she, Ayla was never quite sure, Metallik was obsessed with finding a spell or some magic to make him more human. Ayla always told him he was nuts to worry over something so trivial. Ayla got to know Lina From scouting all the time. They were the two head scouts so they were always meeting up and discussing findings for the other to report back to the camp and they worked well together. Lina was interested in tribal life, possibly due to her heritage, Ayla was not so sure. She grew up in a rural village. When the war ended Ayla was still in good contact with Lina, but has lost contact with Metallik. Tarn is another story… In the Confused years, Ayla was still on with the army, and after a major battle, she walked in on Tarn cheating on her with another woman. An argument ensued that never healed over well. Ayla Swore vengeance on him and stormed off. Hearing him orate in the battle field from then on only broke her heart, and did not inspire her on the field. She learned to ignore him and focus only on the spirit’s guidance. Near the end of the war, Tarn was mortally wounded and Ayla was summoned to heal his wounds. She was in a dilemma, it would be easy for her to declare him dead, that he was beyond healing, or she could have slowed her spell, and could have died before the healing had taken effect. But she healed him. As much as she hated him, even though she swore vengeance on him, she just couldn’t let him die. So she healed him. After that Tarn was discharged home, and it was the last that Ayla ever saw of him. Since the war, Ayla has been traveling around in the wilderness between cities, acting as a guide, or a scout, or a messenger. She keeps in touch with Lina on a decent basis. In a way they were like sisters of the war, with a bond stronger than blood. She has lost touch with metallik after the war. Getting the summon from Dalvan ir’ Tolvek, was a surprise to her, however after all the years the man was kind of like an uncle to her. There is no way she would refuse to help a family member. Ayla’s long term goals is to find out what happened to metallic. She suspects that his is cooped up somewhere trying to make himself human. It’s Ironic that Ayla always thought he was the most lively and energetic of the bunch. Her second goal is to to find a mate and return to the Talenta plains to start a new tribe. However she just can’t seem to get make herself go. Maybe fate is keeping her out of the plains, or maybe it is anxiety. Maybe she doesn’t want to leave her friend Lina. For now she is happy doing as she is doing.
