Avienda Ceres is a battle mage from a clan of Joramy worshipping elves in the northern mountains. Following the tenets of Joramy all young elves must venture out into the world to purge what evil they find. Avienda has been "blessed" with the touch of Joramy, her hands and upper arms are burnt to cinders. This blessing is a sign of greatness to the Joramy cult and Avienda will likely become it's leader when she returns in 100 years or so after her pilgrimage.
The pressure of her peers' expectations shape Avienda. She is excited to be out on her journey and away from the isolation her mark forced on her amongst her clanspeople but she is also keenly aware of what is expected of her.
