General Background:
Among the children rescued from the laboratory, Aurorae was one of the first to be adopted. At the time, she was looking like a beautiful little girl of elven origin with bronzed skin and dark green almond eyes.
The couple who adopted her, Olga and Basken Hobs were in their late thirties and did not have children of their own, not for lack of trying. Basken was already the Shieriff’s deputy and his social standing in the village let them choose among the rescued beings one that did not look too alien. However, Aurorae was not an easy child. She refused to wear any tight-fitting clothes, preferring to run around the house naked or at best barefoot in a loose-fitting dress even in the deep of winter. When she was a toddler, no one would bother. But as she grew older, she became the talk of the village do-gooder. Half-of them blaming her parents for not raising her properly, the other half considering her an easy girl. Besides her parents, the only ones who took her defense was Lina Blackrose, the head priest of Shelyn and some of her most open-minded acolytes.
To her parents’ relief, Aurora accepted to be apprenticed to the Shelyn priestess. And was thus partially sheltered from the hostility that her behavior created. However, despite all the tutoring, Lina could not get Aurorae to embrace her faith not to cast any cleric spells but she seemed to come into some of them on her own. So, she directed Aurorae to one of her friends, Ulrica, an old crone living deep in the woods that knew more secrets of nature than she did but was thought to be losing her mind. Up to now, Lina and Aurorae have kept up with the lessons charade that shield the young woman from some of the villager’s ire.
Personality:
Aurorae does not seem to be affected by her status in the village. She has a cheerful personality, ready to laugh at the first occasion. With the people she likes, she is very tactile with no notion of personal space or modesty. On the contrary, she will be cold and bristling with those that still make unwanted advances or gesture when she has expressed her feelings.
What makes it even more difficult for those around her is that apart from her close family and friends, many of them rescued like her from a laboratory, she is fickle in her sentiments. From one week to another or even one day to another, she changes where her favors go, causing many hurt feelings and bruised egos. Appearance:
Aurorae is an extremely good looking young woman with chiseled features and a body to dream for. Until recently, she had a light brown complexion with deep slanted green eyes and curled dark brown hair. Over the last weeks, her skin had started to lighten and take a light green tone, and her hair is following the same trend. She could never stand heavy clothes and usually wears a sleeveless short dress trimmed with long fringes that billow in the wind. She mainly walks barefoot but sometime consents to wear worn rope sandals. Wind constantly plays in her hair giving it a semblance of life and raises a small cloud of dust around her feet even when she stands still. Her voice is deeper than expected with a velvety tone that she is leaning to use to to talk her way out of tight corners instead of fleeing like a frightened rabbit.

What Aurorae fears most are anything that would bind her, both in the physical and emotional sense. Those she chooses, she can bear but she can’t stand those that are imposed.
The most obvious are physical restraints, starting from tightly bound clothes to being entangled or locked-up. In these conditions, she won’t do anything but try to escape. But she also fears finding herself bound in emotional relationships and that drove her to abruptly cut some of her relationship short in the past. Notable relationships:

She is deeply thankful that they took her in and sad that what feels and is right for her bring them pain, but she can’t help being who she is. Lina Blackrose Aurorae de facto mentor. Corindus Hollow and Sherin Greenwood. Aurorae’s effect on the village have slowly altered the magistrate and shieriff’s trust in Basken Hobbs and they are thinking of replacing him. On the other side, Aurorae is afraid of them and avoids their presence as much as possible as she fears their power over her freedom. Ulrica An old herbalist living deep in the woods. Aurorae’s real teacher. Aurorae feels close to Gallus, the other half-fey as well as she feels the connection to the first world and to the elements they have in common. On the contrary, she is more wary about the half planars as she senses a disconnection between them and the nature.
