BACKGROUND
Atruen is quite possibly the largest elf many have seen. Standing 6'3 and weighing in at 211, his body looks a little slight for its frame. He is, however, quite sturdily built, having the physique of a runner, long and lean but strong.

He is the youngest of three brothers born in the south side of the city. His parents were very middle class and brought that sensiblity to the upbringing of their children. Stern, fair, and very supportive, they saw to it that each of their boys was given freedom with responsiblity. Atruen, being the youngest, was seemingly equally raised by his two older brothers. It is their good natured ribbing that resulted in Atruen's carefree nature. Even though he is good at most things he tries, he always seems to approach them rather flippantly, no matter how serious the circumstances. He tends to be either easily bored or overly excited, seemingly at the same time on occasion.

Atruen likes to travel lightly. Possessions often are sacrificed for experiences, money spent out on the town is money well spent. Of the few items he feels are necessities, his shield holds the highest esteem in his mind. Once his father's, it now sits proudly on his back at all times. The steel has been filigreed with silver in the shape of a ram, the nickname his father was granted in his fighting days. Atruen feels that it is his honor and his responsiblity to use it bravely and it is with it strapped to his arm that he feels at his strongest.
