Athrax decides on a Taldan accent with matching vernacular, at least what he thought he read once in a book that was flushed down months ago. "Cheerio my good dragonmates, let us have a jolly good time infiltrating this place! Bully!"
"5 gold? Why, that's 1/25 of a Xarcious! I say we do what we Sewer Dragons do best... sneak in, lay all sorts of devious traps, and be the best Pathfinders to ever find a path!"
Athrax will put on his fake mustache and fake glasses. A dapper, noble design worthy of being the best kobold Pathfinder.
"Because we are kobolds you stup... I mean, uhh, better to infiltrate the Sewer Dragon lair, right?", Athrax answers to Xarcious' inquiry.
Athrax pouts that no one wants to share in the responsible educating of the miscreants, but nods when Engashez plies upon the guilt of the Society. Draconic: "I got 110 of the measures he wants; so I get to name the dog. I'll call him... Test Subject #7!"
Athrax whispers to the others in Draconic. Draconic, to my fellow koboldlings:
"What? Us pay ransom to this bigfoot?! And we were told the Decemvirate doesn't pay ransom or tribute! Perhaps he needs to learn what the penalty is for messing with the Sewer Dragons!" Athrax's more sinister side shows as a cruel smile curls on his scaly lips.
"Besides, how many people could handle this much awesomeness at their front door? No... you have the scaliest, bestest Pathfinders in here!", Athrax brazenly boasts. "Mr. Xarcious, I presume?"
"Ooh, I could use a small creature for some tes.... err, I mean, I could use a pet, yes, a pet!"
"Ahhh, what is taking so long? Do we have all the intel we need?"
"Ha! You forget my mighty creations! Behold, a side-effect of my honey bomb... honey gloves!", Athrax chugging a vial and then climbing up the wall and looking inside the window.
Mustache and wayfinder primed, Athrax's ego leads him to enter the office. "Athrax, the greatest alchemist the sewers has ever known, has arrived!"
Seeing the bright, new, shiny wayfinders, Athrax nabs it and draps it around his neck. He looks menacing at the others with a glare that simply says, 'Mine'
Athrax looks around, and seeing the change in surroudings, he quickly scribbles chicken-scratch notes about the experience. ...don't feel younger...surprisingly hungry...
"Ahh yes... sorry, I've been testing an odoriferous new compound that has some memory side effects. And I've been testing an odoriferous new compound that has some memory side effects." Ahtrax, upon hearing Kreighton's request, puts a little glue on the top of his snout, affixing a crude 'mustache' of rat hair.
Athrax, unused to such stardom despite being the BEST Pathfinder agent with scales that lives in a sewage environment, is shocked at his sudden fanbase. "Errr, why yes, it is I! Were you my latest guin-, err, volunteer for the greatest alchemical weapon known in the kobold-verse?", he asks the excitable halfling. But at the foppish elf's comments, his mind goes a new direction. "A paradox... two Athraxii = twice the research = twice the progress on my honey bombs!", the kobold's face a twisted amalgamation of potential joy and sadistic glee. "Umm, yes, so what should we do to NOT cause a paradox. I mean, like because, that would be bad for everyone else and would not be the greatest thing ever for me."

"Blast... still cannot find the right mixture of hunny and nitrogliceroxide.", shouts a preturbed kobold, now muttering more calculations to himself as he approaches the party late. "Dreng!", Athrax yips, ignoring his fellow kobolds. "Are we in for another amazing adventure that needs my kobold know-how?" |
