Hello, please cancel my adventure path subscription. Paizo makes a great product and I will continue to play Pathfinder from time to time with my group. However, I find that I don't often run the adventure paths these days and rarely plumb them for ideas anymore.

Thanks! It's possible I may pick up the subscription in the future.

I think it's also a great idea.

If you have 6 players and a GM who needs additional room, I would think an octagonal or circular table would be best. Either option could fold up as well.

Guys, it's with a heavy heart I have to do this but.....

I have to drop from the current game/DM role. I thought I could handle running/attending the adventure if it was premade and familiar. But, I just can't swing the ride to Manchester and the prep-time needed. My life is a bit full at the moment with the new baby, work, school, and a side project we've been working on.

If we can find a place a bit closer to Nashua I would be able to continue on as a player, but I don't think I can run a game all the way up in Manchester.

I'm terribly sorry guys. I hope you all continue on and play something even if I'm not able to attend. If we want to try and work something out, let's discuss it here.

I woke up to a pleasant surprise! I was thinking of picking up your Way of the Wicked Books and being able to get the first one for free is awesome!

Congratulations on the Kickstarter!

Monday or Tuesday at the moment works for me. Not sure what next semester will look like.

Hey Gary,

The two of us from Chaotic Good Games just backed you. Looking forward to using the cards! Saving one deck for a future Savage Worlds game. Great looking art.

Christopher Despres

No game for me today. There's too much going on at work for me to get out on time tonight. If you guys want to meet up and possibly play something you are more than welcome to.

We should also discuss the possibility of moving the game to the greater Nashua area if possible. I believe most of us live in the Nashua area. We talked about the Comic store, but I think they wanted money. Anyone have a house or apartment that could host the lot of us?

Yes indeed it does.

Hey everyone! Yes indeed, I am feeling much better. I seem to have gotten over the plague. My son, Asher, only got mildly sick from it as well and is doing just fine now.

On to the game! I'll be able to make it this evening and we can start the adventure at the Swallowtail Festival. Get ready for fun, games, and mass carnage, er umm.....

I'll be showing up around 6pm or so. Looking forward to starting the game up. See everyone tonight.

This is a neat idea. It would be nice if it could hold all 6 of the paperbacks for an adventure along with maybe the pawns and room for a notebook and dice.

Guys, I'm sorry to do this so late but I have to bail for tonight. I'm still feeling like poo and am actually a bit dizzy and don't feel comfortable driving. =(

Sorry guys.

Ok, I think I can make it to the game night. Hopefully I won't infect everyone at the table. =)

If something changes I'll update this. Everyone have a character ready to play?

I'm somewhat hesitant about tonight. I've seem to caught a plague and am coughing, sneezing, and feel a bit under the weather. My son also seems to have caught the sniffle as well.

Stay tuned to see if tonight is going to happen. Everyone is welcome to meet up and play something if I'm not able to make it/run.

I'll post as soon as I know for sure if I can drag myself to the game.

I'm curious how Paizo handles collaboration in the office as well as with writers and staff that work outside of the office. Do you use a set of commercial collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote, EverNote, Google Docs?

A few of us are at the ground breaking level of creating a small publishing company to produce some material and we are considering how best to collaborate with one another. Sharing files, version control, file syncing, tasks, notes, commenting and conversations, these are all things that we are wanting in a suite of tools. How does Paizo handle such things?

Thanks for any helpful tips!

If you wanted to use it with a rapier I'd have no problem with that.

I found this:

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/combat-traits/dueling-cloak-adept

Dueling Cloak Adept
You are trained in using your cloak to disguise your body and deceive your enemies.

Benefits: While wearing a cloak and using an Aldori dueling sword, you gain a +2 trait bonus on Bluff checks made to feint. Additionally, every time you successfully feint while wearing a cloak, you gain a +1 dodge bonus to your Armor Class until your next turn.

Yes on both accounts.

You might now have to face something that squirts blood from its eyes.

Nope. Swallowtail is in reference to swallowtail butterflies, the symbol of Desna.

Yes, more info. More screenshots!

Glad you enjoyed the prologue. Looking forward to kicking the adventure into high gear. See everyone at the Swallowtail Festival in 2 weeks.

That is correct! We are playing some pregenerated characters I just created. They are some of the important and lesser important NPCs of Sandpoint. We are rolling the campaign back 5 years to the Recent Unpleasantness for a quick prologue session to get everyone connected to the adventure.

This will give everyone a little bit of playtime in Sandpoint and familiarize themselves with some of the players in town. This will help everyone come up with intertwined backstories.

I'll see everyone tonight. I'll likely show up close to 6pm. Feel free to show up a little before or just a little after.

How many total players do we have? I made 5 pregens (which the 15 point buy worked fine, heh). I'm hoping I have enough characters. I might make one more just to be safe.

I hope everyone is excited for Tuesday! Keep working on your characters if you still need to.

But if your character is not 100% complete by Tuesday, don't worry. We'll be running a little one night prequel for the campaign and you'll be playing as some of Sandpoint's NPCs for the first night. I'm hoping this will give everyone a deeper connection to the town and its inhabitants and history. It should be exciting.

It might have been mentioned before but....

I was trying to add the following to a creature's attacks

torch -2 (1d2+1 plus 1 fire)

It doesn't add the fire. I then looked up other creatures in the Beastiary that have fire. Take the Fire Giant. He is supposed to deal additional fire damage as well. When rolling these attacks, it does not add the extra damage.

Whenever I see her, I always think she's giving me the middle finger.

Hello Customer Service,

Please cancel my Pathfinder Pawns Subscription. I love the pawns but I'll likely just pick up a set/box of them on a as needed basis. Thank you!

I've also added a few more campaign specific traits that I think do a better job of placing you in Sandpoint/the adventure. They are in the Announcements section of that site.

Great to see everyone posting some character ideas and even stats. I'm sorry I haven't posted up until now.

I went ahead and made a quick website where we can post our info, journals, keep track of things, etc. Here's the link:

https://sites.google.com/site/riseoftherunelordsnh/

I made a quick poster (very cheesy) for the upcoming Swallowtail Festival. I'll send out an email with the information as well, I believe some people are not using the paizo site.

I think I bought the coin sleeves. Let me see if I can pull up my Amazon order.....

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KDNAU2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

Around $5 for 20 pages.

See everyone in a little while.

The Google Nexus tablet for $200 is very appealing. One of the biggest considerations is that it's a google product which means it will definitely get the latest operating system upgrades early on.

So is everyone ON for this Tuesday? What time should we meet. I'm thinking 5:30pm or 6pm? That way we don't interfere too much with the presently running game.

I think it depends on your players. If they are good at tactics and built solid characters then you may want to bump things up only slightly. If they are more lenient and made characters with flaws I'd keep things as is.

I think everyone is invited. I think we're all taking it as a big meet and greet. From there, people can find a group/game or whatever. The more the merrier I say.

Yeah, I saw the video of their vision and lighting. It looks pretty darn good. Very fluid.

Hello,

Please cancel my comics subscription. Thank you.

I've been trying to write and update all day, stupid work getting in the way.

I, and my friend Mike, are still very interested in meeting up with everyone. However, we cannot be over there this evening. We should be all set to meet up next Tuesday night, the 25th, for a meet up and maybe some gaming.

I believe there are some games over in Keene. Not sure how close that is to either of you. aybe we can do a once a month or every other month day of gaming if you are interested in a little bit of travel.

Obviously moving is the only acceptable option. =)

What about having someone co-GM and not be a player?

Monsters could be divided into two groups, one for each GM to control. This would speed up combat as well as remove one additional player controlled character.

It would freshen up NPCs as well. Having two people to provide personalities and voice for NPCs would really liven up the roleplaying.

Just another idea.

It also makes it possible to split the party of PCs at certain points if needed.

I think I'd be down for still meeting up, even if it's just a few of us. Maybe I'll bring a one shot game or something.

Alrighty Jim. I certainly don't want to intrude on your game/gaming group as well. I hope it didn't come across as that. =)

For everyone interested in meeting, should we hold off another week or go ahead and meet up on this Tuesday?

Jim, did you have to talk to Double Midnight Comics before you started showing up and playing? Or did it sort of just evolve? I'm wondering if I should reach out and send an email to the store asking if it's okay for us to meet up there on Tuesday before we all land there. Especially if the intention is to possibly start playing at the store in the near future.

Weekends are tough for me. My wife would kill me if I spent one weekend day every week or so to play games. =)

Jim, Doodle. Any interest in meeting up this Tuesday night just to say hello and such? Anyone else is welcome to show up too. I'll likely bring a friend or two.

Wow. I would never run a game for 9 people. My advice, split the group in 2. That would make 2 groups of 4 player, which is nice.

If you are deadset on running with 9 players. You can almost double the creatures in every encounter. With special NPCs you'd have to take a different approach.

Combat is going to take forever. Especially if everyone is unfamiliar with the rules.

Good luck though. Having 10 people who want to play a game sounds like a problem I'd be willing to have. =)

Wow, 6pm is an early bed time. Finding a group at that time must be difficult. Do you work an odd shift?

Maybe we can all meet up at Double Midnight Comics some night soon for a meet 'n' greet type thing. It's always nice to meet more RPers in the area.

I have a friend who would be interested in a meetup as well. From there, I'm sure we can better arrange some gaming groups/times/arrangements.

Any interest? If so, when is everyone free?

I'm available most weekday evenings except Wednesdays for the next few weeks.

PS. How does gaming at Double Midnight work? Is it free? Do you have to be a member. Just curious.

I'm still around. My group was on a slight hiatus due to my wife and I having a baby. Yay!

But we are about to start back up. We're in the greater Nashua area. We are thinking of starting up the Rise of the Runelords anniversary edition with all the nifty pawns.

Grimmy, where are you from?

Wouldn't a tripod work just as well and be much cheaper? If you look on Amazon and search for projector tripod, you can find quite a few cheap tripods that would work. I think. We always just hung our projector from the ceiling. I always wanted to make a tripod setup for portability.
