Step 1: Write at least 5 concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character.
a) Asmani was born to privilege but cast into the streets when but a child; to this day she doesn't know why her parents were disgraced and arrested.
b) She has come to resent and almost hate the nobility for their luxurious ways.
c) Asmani had a brutal first few years; what softness was beaten out of her, and she almost died several times before finding the grit and hardness to persevere and do what needed doing to survive on the streets. Her flat gaze reflects the many trials she's suffered.
d) However she harbors a soft spot for those less fortunate than she; often she'll donate her stolen earnings to orphans or the street waifs who remind her so painfully of herself.
e) Of late she's gained some notoriety on the streets for killing several abusive figures that were running small empires of terror amongst the beggars, whores, and street rats. As such, she's currently uneasily enjoying a wave of popularity amongst the downtrodden for being their champion.
Step 2: List at least 2 goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
a) Find out what happened to her family - why were they arrested, their goods confiscated, their name erased from all records and she cast into the streets?
b) Earn enough money to open an orphanage of her own where kids will be treated well and given a chance at a good life.
Step 3: List at least 2 secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet. This will help me in creating plots that center around your character. I will also be creating a third secret which you as a player will not be aware of, so expect some surprises!
a) Asmani learned her knife fighting from her pimp; she tricked him into thinking she loved him, and when she became sufficiently skilled with her blades she killed him in cold blood.
b) Asmani's brother was also cast into the streets, and has arisen to become exactly the kind of cruel, hateful figure that she despises.
Step 4: Describe at least 3 people that are tied to the character. Two of them are friendly to the character, one is hostile.
a) Master Amenopheus: though she doesn't know his true identity and influence, he took notice of her one day when she was about to be arrested for killing two attackers in self defense, and helped her achieve a pardon. Since then, he's taken a benign interest in her activities, and become a patron of sorts for her grander dreams.
b) Hapu: a gregarious wine merchant who allows Asmani to sleep in his attic for nominal rent, and has come to be like an uncle figure to her.
c) Phokas: neither know of their relationship to each other, but Phokas is Asmani's blood brother and the leader of a vicious gang of pimps and slavers who has heard of Asmani's recent vigilante work and marked her for death.
Step 5: Describe at least 3 mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
a) She adores honeyed cakes, as they remind her of her favorite childhood memory.
b) She has a terrible habit of giving all her spare change to orphans and waifs when pressed.
c) She loves dancing to music, and believes that in another life she might have been a musician, though she has no talent for music.
Step 6: List one fear your character have and one fear that you have (if you are not comfortable with this, skip it).
a) Asmani is terrified of not being strong enough to resist the predators on the street and ending back under the control of a man such as the pimp who taught her to knife fight.
