Sitting back from his plate of spiced sausage and potatoes, a dwarf looks at the elf before speaking with a bit of food still in his mouth, "M sure you'll get called in soon. Wouldn't be the first time Drang, or some hot headed venture captain calls for new blood." Taking another bite of his meal, the beardless dwarf, covered in third degree burns, continues talking, spitting food every so often. "Also, I would suggest that if you meet with a Heidmarch, be prepared for anything. Her missions can get a little.... rough."

Agreed. I may be antsy as to see what is legal and what isnt, but I do have other options for the meantime.

"Let's just say the last bath I took was of the molten variety. Ground was slippery, and footing not so good. Still managed to beat the tar outta one o' dem roper things. As for, that man, I think there's a different thing wrong with him, compared ta me," Arthus spoke as he took the bottle of cool water. "Maybe if ya teach me ta build one, may be a bit easier? I dun mind tha visits though. Get ta see interestin' folks!" The dwarf laughs slightly.

Grand Lodge

Hrm.... Maybe a Brutal Pugilist Barbarian going through the grappler's route with Throat Slicer as a fifth level pickup?

Fighter 2 (Lore Warden) / Barbarian ? (Brutal Pugilist)

Enough HP to get smacked in the face, and the fact that slicing the throat makes things quite easy, should be a deterrent.

Too bad this character's build isn't really allowed in your GM's game. (I kind of like having a +50 to grapple on the first attempt.....)

Walking into the infirmary is a horribly burned dwarf, covered in scar tissue. "'Scuze me folks, but does any of ye 'ave somethin' ta cool me off? Kinda hard to do, since I can't sweat no more." The dwarf smiles as best he can, which looks like a slightly upturned scowl.

"Bah, I have no time for some grand gala. Me farm needs some upkeep since I been away, fightin' demons and the such," mumbles a dwarf as he enters in, hearing about the festivities about to go on at the Grand Lodge. "I let me friend know though, so he should be there, hopefully not convertin' people to Sarenrae the way he knows best...." Arthus mutters as he walks to the bar.

Grand Lodge

"Well, dependin' on how ye teach, I could learn meself a few things from yea," call out a hairless dwarf. Covered in burned scar tissue, it seems that this dwarf has seen better days. Dressed in a fine black monk's robe with a finely fitted chain shirt, layered with a black jacket that has protrusions from its collar, it seems that his fashion seemed a bit dark. Mismatched gauntlets, one looking of silver, while the other looked as if it were living vines adorned his hands, while at his belt hung a blacker than night warhammer and a dull grey axe.

"Aye, been a while since I been back. Decided that it be time I mayhaps learn some clerical ways for Gorum, but found huntin' down heretics be more me style. Heard of somethin' that could help with that when at Lastwall, so I came and checked on me farm before comin' back 'ere," he chuckled.

Moving into the lodge at a great pace is a dwarf hairless and covered in burns. Mannerisms similar to another dwarf from weeks past, this one seemed to be dressed fairly well, yet clashing slightly with itself.

"Well, it seems that things seem to be gettin' close ta the deadline, so I needs yer attention! Fer Miss Heidmarch's requests, there seems ta be two lists. Tha f'rst are to be:

Finishing up, the dwarf looks around, and finds a table to sit at, furthest away from the fireplace.

A dwarf covered in mud and fecal matter walks into the lodge. Looking about, he clears his throat before shouting at the top of his lungs.

"Y'all lookin' fer work?! I gots this message from that damned Heidmarch woman, and am too busy with mah own 'fairs. I thinks she be acceptin' two groups fer the thing, but not quite sure....

The dwarf looks about before posting a flyer on the wall, not caring as to whether he covers up another flyer or picture before leaving.

Tackles and rides the white steed.

Laughing loud and clapping his hand on a knee at the woman's gesture, he begins to rock back and forth slightly before hopping g to his feet.

"Unexpected from a woman like you, but that be just my observation. Guess I should train meself some students......"

Rubbing his beard slightly, the dwarf laughs a bit and begins to run towards the lodge's front gate.

Grand Lodge

Chewing on the remnants of a turkey leg, Arthus returns to the training grounds. Looking about, the dwarf finds Auriea sitting under the eves of a walkway, watching one of the people in the rain.

"Sittin' here because ya lost? Bah, don' feel bad! We all lose from time to time, except fer me! Bwahahahaha!"

With a loud thump, the stout dwarf lifted his legs and promptly sat next to the sylph. Stretching slightly, Arthus looks at the two who are about to spar and shouts, cupping his mouth as so everyone could hear him!

"Yea better no' let the lassie fell ya boy! Or me frien' 'ere is gonna be mighty disappointed!"

Just ran out of my Wand of CLW, otherwise it would still be on the list, as well as my Wand of Lesser Restoration. Thinking of getting a Dan Bong just to make grapples +10 overall....

Grand Lodge

Clapping loudly, the dwarf smiles once the session is over.

"Well done ta the both of ye! I know of a sylph that could use some teachin' from ye two! Hells, it would have been nice fer me ta learn an' practice somewhere safe, rather than flinging meself at a challenge ta see how things go."

Again, clapping, this time his hand on a wet knee, Arthus stands up and starts to make his way back into the lodge after waving a farewell towards the others.

"Gots to greet me brother. He may as well want to train here after he gets his bearings about the place."

Grand Lodge

Seeing th samurai put on a blindfold had Arthus stop his stance and piqued his interest. "This may be more interestin' than two seekers sparring. Let's watch!" Arthus walked back towards the rock he was sitting on earlier and sat down once again, to watch the Tengu and Half-Orc spar.

Grand Lodge

Standing up and starting to rotate his left arm while cracking his neck, the dwarf smiles at the venture captain.

"Ya looks quite good with yer stance there. I may hold a chance ta get close, but tha's me issue. I need to get close, fer tha most part."

Patting the dull gray axe at his side, Arthus had made his way a bit closer to the three in the rain.

"Let's see how up to snuff I am after this resurrection business. Whoever manages to knock gets to have a bottle of whiskey! This includes you missy and feathers!"

Setting his feet almost shoulder width apart, left foot slightly forward, the experienced brawler brings up his arms with one hand a flat palm facing up and the other as a fist, ready to strike.

"Now, I would say don't hold back, but it seems that's what you had in mind!"

Arthus doesn't get the gestures from different cultures, then again, he has offended many a people quite easily before!

Grand Lodge

Making his rounds about the lodge, Arthus' eyes catch the three in the rain and smiles. With a slight gallop in his jog, the dwarf makes his way onto the scene. Arms crossed, and nodding in approval, he watches the three, noting every move they make.

"By Gorum's wrath, it has been a while since I saw a good sparring match! Wish there were something similar when it comes to wrestling. Bwahahaha!"

Laughing while watching the others spar, or mimicking the sparring, the hearty dwarf sits on a near by stone, resting his chin on an unarmed glove.

The dwarf looks to be dressed almost similar to a travelling vagabond, but on a closer look one would notice that was not the case. Clothes that didn't impede movement, with what looked like a silvery chainshirt glimmer slightly under his jacket and vest. On his belt was a wayfinder of a highly polished black metal, that seemed to radiate a slight light, while a hammer of the same material hung right behind it. On the other side of the belt, hung a dull grey throwing axe that also seemed to radiate magic. His armored hand, was in a bright silvery spiked gauntlet that seemed to twitch slightly when someone walked past the dwarf. There also seemed to be two stones floating around him, one being a slightly pinkish rhomboid, while the other was a five pointed red star.

Knowledge Local DC 5:
Arthus Pithammer, seeker of the society for a few weeks, had decided to return to his farm after a disconcerting run in with a Lich's phalylactory, and the need to have it removed through great pain and slight death. A master grappler himself, the dwarf has mentioned that if he retires, he would help teach students how to fight without weapons, when he wasn't working his farm.

"By the way, would either mind if I spar with the winner? Who knows, I might get to learn some new tricks."

Grand Lodge 3/5 *

Now, well lookie here. Gots us all some Seekers that seem ta be standin' around, doing even less wit their skills. While you all play about, I'll jus be tendin' ta my pigs. That is, when I'm not about a mile unner ground, involved in this green tower thing.

I grapple it. The table. Figures, minis, dice, and character sheets fly about, as I wrestle with the table.

Grand Lodge

I prefer to optimize rather than min/max. Now, some characters may start off as a slightly dumber and uglier person with no manners, but that's when good roleplay becomes involved, and putting the later stat increases to areas where one may have lost a point or five. (First Stat boost was INT to make it average, and at the second DEX was raised)

This character is a good example for the charisma dump, as he's definitely not the prettiest dwarf in the world, is quite scarred from his shenanigans, and doesn't talk much without offending someone. On the other hand, as a grappler, he's been beaten, blasted with magics, and maimed at one point or another, even before starting his career as a Pathfinder. He knows that he shouldn't talk at certain times, but if a fight may need to be instigated, he may try to badly praise someone's mother.......

Min/Maxing isn't too bad, but the overspecialization kind of kills it if someone can't do something to help out the party in or out of combat. (Arthus can carry people who can't climb, for the most part, as well as being pretty good at looking for traps and whatnot.)

Grand Lodge

And if properly trained, we can grapple almost anything! Bwahahahahahaha!

This makes me want to hug things, pin them, and have the others beat the good into my foes. It's up to their God as to whether they live or die.....

If it's for further peace, Arthus is willing to gank pretty much anyone, for Gorum of course.

On the front cover. This way GMs can know to avoid this scenario if they aren't prepped.

A GM should never not be prepped with the very rare exception they stepped in with no time. Saying this would send a message it's OK not to prep.

Unprepared scenario playing always sucks, either the GM misses most of the details and makes crap loads of mistakes leading them to be unable to run as written or they read everything as they go and the pacing slows to a slow miserable crawl leading to excessive player boredom.

I was in a game that the GM was cold and a bit tactic heavy in the beginning. Yet, being the cool players that we were, we instead chatted amongst each other in character while he was readying himself and prepping the encounters. I was playing out of teir, so my character was teaching the new pathfinder barbarian how to fight a bit smarter and how to get weapons earlier on that would suit his fighting style better. (In my character's opinion of course)
