![]() First: Thanks, both of you, for the quick replies with interesting thoughts and views :) Overall I really want to reward my players for being interested in making the city better, so not being able to say (without doubt about the correctness of the ruling) "Yes, my dear heroes, we can adjust the contract and let ol' Queen Abrogail sit there with egg on her face." was a bit annoying. But the ideas you have are very interesting. They have used Rexus Victocora as a "back room administrator" of sorts, and I am thinking he could sit down with them and say something along the lines of "I have gone over the contract again, and I must unfortunately say that it seems not possible to adjust the contract." But then, with a gleam in his eye say "However... I think I have a solution ..." @Zimmerwald1915, one question regarding your idea about opening up for adoptions in the 5 families. You quote the following:

![]() I'm currently in a situation where the legal intricacies of the Kintargo Contract is giving me some GM headaches. Situation:
They have for quite a while discussed the possibility of making Kintargo more democratic, and would have liked to increase the number of members in the Board of Governors from 5, to also including f.ex. 1-2 persons from each district of Kintargo. One reason for this is that they are afraid that Queen Abrogail & Cheliax will set a price on the head of each board member and their families. If one or more are eliminated (covertly) it would lead to a need to get new members/families ratified in. Ref what Odexidie mentiones on pg.17 of the Kintargo Contract. "Hopefully, you’ll be able to find descendants of all five lines, since if any of these lines have died out without a new line being ratified in, I’m afraid you’ll be out of luck without having Cheliax’s current queen issue an official addendum to the contract." 1) If Odexidie is to be believed (and we trust contract devils, after all), this would imply that the adjustment my players have in mind MIGHT be possible. But it would require an addendum approved by the Queen of Cheliax.
What happens the next time (in 150 years) when the people of Kintargo forgets to have a Board of Governors select their Lord-Mayor. Will suddently the Chelish army be able to swoop in? Or am I missing an obvious infernal loophole in the Kintargo Contract? ![]()
![]() Hi Paizo I sent you an email at customer.service@paizo.com on Oct 9th, but haven't received a reply yet, so I'm trying here instead :). ------------------
The orders in question are
Do you have anything in your records that might indicate if the books might have been returned to you? For example if they for some reason weren't delivered during the summer? Best regards ![]()
![]() I see this point has been addressed earlier in the thread, but I have to ask: Am I the only DM who is finding it a bit hard on the players that the only way from B8 and onwards/upwards is through the garbage chute? Or am I missing something here? To explain further:
After reading through the adventure once more, and looking at the maps, it's my opinion that the secret trapdoor feels completely random from an "adventure" / "how are the player's going to figure this out"-point of view. One thing is that the DC is fairly high, but I suspect I'll just have to hint that there is a secret door there. Also - I'm trying to imagine why the efreets would build a palace where the substantial dwellings on the lower level and level 1 would only be accessible through the garbage chute. For one thing: How did they bring all those treasures to/from the hazneh? The slaves would have to be able to fly in order to access the chute :). ![]()

Congratulations! :) Out of curiousity: On what ship did you take the picture? ![]()
![]() Thanks Fletch :). As I mentioned in the original post I only used existing prose and pictures from Paizo products, so most of the credit should go to them. But I was kind of surprised at how easy it was to find appropriate artwork. I still have a few things I want to improve upon, like adding music and automatic timing between the slides, but I'm kind of struggling with finding the right song. I kind of feel it's to easy to just use something from LOTR, or some other well-known movie. With regards to the picture. I actually hadn't thought about that picture until now. It might be him.

![]() Elorebaen, gigglestick, feytharn: I wouldn't mind sending you a copy, would be happy to share, actually, but I'll have to check up on the legal stuff first. Except for a few lines on the last few slides, all of the text is taken from Pathfinder products, and ditto with all but one of the pictures. Obviously, I don't want to anger any Experts with the Lawyer PrC :). I guess it might fall under the Community Use License ( http://paizo.com/communityuse). I'll see what I can find out. Wes: Hehe, yeah, I'm sure you do. If I remember correctly the NPC Guide PDF was made available for download a few days before I started making the character slides. I guess that's what you call a Gorum-send :). I'm displaying it on a TV near the game table. I've got the players sitting in front of me, and with a 46" TV right behind me. According to them they can barely see the screen because of my ego, but I guess that's just the kind of talk us DMs have to endure after an encounter or two :). ![]()
![]() Hi! This thread is in response to Wesley Schneider's request over at ENWorld
Background:
What I've done, basically, is to use text from Pathfinder books, images that I've extracted from my PDFs, and put them together in order to both tell the story and visualize the story. It's not 100% finished, but even in it's current state I've been able to send it to my players and thus created a little excitement and anticipation before we start playing :). For the record, the image on slide 33 is not from a Paizo product. It is from Primal Power by WotC, and was downloaded from their art gallery. First, an overview of the slide deck.
