About Arrunt of Absalom

Arrunt is a skittish halfling who is easily distracted. Being born and raised a slave for most of his life he developed certain behaviors that helped him to survive such as always putting on a smile even though pain was always close. These mannerisms shine to this day.

As he grew from a child he eventually found his way into the service of Lord Lys, head of a brawler arena called the Blood Circle. Being small he had no strength to speak of and was spared as a fighter, instead being used for tasks requiring dexterity and to occasionally entertain. As he worked he found he had some magical abilities but hid them as best he could. There was a breakout by a handful of the fighters who assisted with Arrunt's own escape. Lord Lys was attacked but survived thanks to his hired gang.

Years later Arrunt has found himself as a somewhat skilled magician despite the lack of focus and going wherever the road takes him. He travels claiming no agenda but secretly looks to throw a wrench into the slave machine.
