@PCs: Good job folks! I was watching from the sidelines and silently cheering you on.
@GM: I'll clear the "dead as a doornail" condition by spending Prestige Points. I'm going to cross off my "Magnimarian Debt" boon to have the good citizens of Magnimar contribute half the cost to raising Arrius in gratitude for his help dealing with an assault in the city's Temple of Abadar during a certain race for a Runecarved key. (mechanically, they pay 8 PP of the 16 PP cost to have him raised, and the other half should be deducted from the Chronicle). Thanks!

@GM: Thanks, I appreciate that, but sometimes bad things happen to PCs and that's okay. I think we're getting different totals because that first hit did 13 damage not 8. When he's raised later on, it'll be a good wake-up call for Arrius that he shouldn't bite off more than he can chew :)

I'm also going to cross off a Chronicle boon to get a +2 to Bluff checks while on a ship. (I figure I might as well use some of these--how often do I adventure on a ship, for example! I've got an ultra-specific one for Bluffing people from Galt, but I never run into any :)
I wasn't exactly thinking of jumping them on the very ship that's taking us to the bad guy's hideout--it's not exactly blending in--but let's roll with it :) (I think we unintentionally deviated from what the scenario expected).

Anyone can fly there because gravity is subjective--you control your direction through Wisdom checks. Creatures that can fly just find it much easier.

J. crosses her arms and looks defiant. "You gave me your word I could come on a mission! Something about how 'every fledging must tumble from the nest in order to learn to fly', remember! So I'm going, and that's that!"
The two walk off some distance to continue the argument out of earshot. When they return, Arrius' normally placid face is a scowl, while J.'s face wears the flush of victory.

He's talking to a teenager who carries herself with a confident and unladylike swagger. She is dressed in grey breeches, knee-high leather boots, a white cotton shirt, and an azure blue riding coat with tails with a golden eagle pin on the lapel. Beneath her coat, it is clear that she is wearing a mithral chain shirt. A small smile reaches her lips, and it seems she just can't help rolling her eyes a little at the pretentious remark. "Sure Arrius, whatever you say. I gotta admit though, the Plane of Air is certainly more interesting than boarding school . . ."
