Background: Aotor was a miner, like his father, his father’s father, and every father before him. He really enjoys mining, smashing rocks, digging holes, erecting supports; but what he really likes is the planning of new mines. Unfortunately, one day when he was out with the foreman trying to convince him of a better way to angle the supports, the mine collapsed killing all of his crew.
Aotor sunk into a deep depression, but his mind kept working, he realized that he had come to his limits using mundane ways to second guess how his brethren have always done things so he had an epiphany. He decided that he needed to go to one of them there wizarding schools and learn magical ways of keeping them mines operational.
Well, his fellow dwarves thought he was crazy, and maybe he was a bit, but he did learn some wizarding, but his fellow dwarves her not only unimpressed, they laughed him right out of the mines. So what’s a former dwarves miner wizard to do?
Go adventuring of course!
