Anya Jalhyn has been raised in Absalom. She doesn't know who her father is, and her mother didn't talk of him much. All that she has been able to learn is that he came into Absalom one day, full of tricks, songs, and cons, and disappeared just as quickly as he came.
Anya worked occasionally with her mother before she passed away, and is now known for her love to dance, but can more often be seen talking to traveler's coming through the city, eager to hear their stories. Most who know of her understand her carefree nature and her tendency to get in minor troubles with the law. She dreams of striking off for adventure, living the rest of her life in wealth. For now, she gets by with the odd job here and there and separating the drunkest of the workers and travelers nightly of some of their "hard-earned" wages. She is light on her feet, and always on the lookout for a quick piece of silver, but can't be bothered doing "honest" work.

Anya bears many human characteristics, making it difficult to ascertain her celestial heritage. She has dark, curly red hair, and is of average height and weight. She wears a light silk veil to conceal her eyes when in public, to hide the fact that her eyes are amber like those of an eagle.
