Background Information:

(this is all very rough, I'll need to flesh it out shortly)

Originally a simple candidate for Keeper and a blossoming mage, Aloris was rival to the First in his clan. When the blight took Ferelden his clan fought viciously to protect their grounds; a fighting that claimed the lives of over half the clan, First included. When Aloris ascended to First the Keeper declared that the Dalish way of solitude would certainly lead to the end of their clan. She chose instead to defy Dalish tradition and send Aloris out into the realms to learn and grow for the benefit of the Survik.

As a person, Aloris is aloof and well meaning. He prefers the woodland areas where his magic can go unnoticed, but forces himself to spend time among the towns and learn their ways. The nomadic nature of the Dalish encourages him to travel as often as possible, keeping him on the road more often than not. Aloris feels a strong kinship to the city elves, considering them ignorant but ultimately good. He is distrustful of the true nature of dwarves, and deeply resents humans in positions of authority.
