Hello,

I'm currently trying to brainstorm a new class for my setting and game. I've DM'd for a bit, still kind of a newbie, but I've always been interested in create a class.

problem is, I've no idea how should I begin, since there's no real pointers in to create a class in either the PFRPG core rulebook, the APG or the GM's guide. so I'm kind of in a blank spot of nothingness. <_<

I've heard some terms being thrown around, like "Full BAB" or "Bard Spell Progression". the latter I can kinda make sense out of it, but I'm still hazy in class creation in general. so yeah....if any kind, generous soul would point me to a site or similar information resource, or could give me his/her own insight regarding how to build a class...it'd be very appreciated.

many thanks for any advice/information, beforehand.

Hello,

I've been getting into the PFRPG books and 3.x books in general, and I still can't exactly wrap my head around a few things regarding Magic Items.

*For starters, how exactly do the Minor, Medium and Major prefixes figure into things? I look into the descriptions of the magical abilities able to appear on a weapon, and on the rules regarding Magic Items but it says nothing about what exactly these do. for reference(hopefully this doesn't get me in trouble T_T): I've played a PC game that utilizes the 3.x rules. a Minor Flaming Short Sword would basically deal an extra 1d6 fire damage to stuff. a (Medium) Flaming Short Sword would do 2d6, and a Greater Flaming Short Sword would deal 3d6, I think. that's just from what I remember. do the prefixes in PFRPG work similarly?

*Also, how does CL for weapons figure into things? say that I have a +1 mace or the like. it says that the CL is the weapon's enhancement times three, so it means that I have to be Lv. 3 to use it. that much I can understand. but how would the above prefixes work under this?

*Finally, regarding Ranged Weapons and Ammunition. would the properties of the ranged weapon transfer into the ammunition? I mean, would a regular bolt fired from a Flaming Crossbow deal the extra 1d6 damage?

Many thanks for whatever help or information can be provided on this, since it's something that's been puzzling me for a while.

Hello,

Well, the title says everything, heh. I'm trying to create a Role-Playing group with friends, and such, with me GM'ing. anyways, they are all entirely new to tabletop Role-Playing, and while I'm not exactly a complete newbie (have not really played a session, but have been interested for 2 years or so; in that time I've gobbled a whole lot of sourcebooks, and rulebooks, mostly from D&D 3.5.), I am new to running a game, be it a full on campaign or a standalone session.

My plan, currently, is to go through the PFRPG module trilogy: Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God, and City of Golden Death, I think? I would feel it's a good start for a fully beginner group, but I don't exactly have a solid plan yet.

I write this topic in hope that seasoned GMs/DMs may be generous enough to provide some basic pointers on all this. it does seem...like a rather tough endeavor to me, but it definitely sounds like an enjoyable one.

Quick Edit <_<: if this is the wrong place to post this, I understand. just didn't find a good place to put this topic, and since it concerns Pathfinder and whatnot...yeah.
