I'm looking into making a Death Slayer, and while talking my friends and I are getting confused with the channel energy.

1. Now if I have channel positive energy from 5 lvls of cleric, do they stack with the channel energy from the PrC? So 5 cleric/10 death slayer, do I get 8d6 when channeling to hurt undead, but only 3d6 to heal the living, from the same 3+wisdom pool?

Or

2.Do I get 2 separate pools of channel energy? One that can heal or damage for 3d6 (cleric) and one that can only be used to harm undead for 5d6 (death slayer)?

I have looked at what the forums say for versitile channeling and channels from different sources. But death slayer is the only time I've seen the channel be limited, outside of the wizards Turn Undead necromancy school.

Thanks for your help,

I am running this AP on and off with another GM running Hells Vengence (we play one book then switch to the other Campaign to give us time to Prepare and a brake from constant GMing). Now we have 6 players so I've been adding additional mook here or giving the advanced template there, but I still feel like they have no challenge.

We are half way through Song of Silver, and they have had a number of Bad Guys run to fight them again. Well the 3rd time they rolled the counterattack daily occurrence where they get attacked at home, I had Hei-Fen join the assault instead of having her attacking after the PCs finished another fight. Which is made this fight into a CR 15 fight while they were 10 and still only got 2 people.

PCs were spread out in there bases and I could have gotten a few deaths if I wanted but with being threatened I don't like to still attack people who are down. had one unconscious and held person-ed. Plane shifted another to Abbadon after he made 3 saves vs. Dominate, charm, and hold. (really lucky rolls on the rogue)

My problem is they are about to go against the dragon and most maximized in the party will need a 16 or better to hit it, most will need a 18 before getting buffs to handle it. Unless I down play the dragon I don't see that fight going anywhere but a long drawn out fight that will eventually have one side run.

This AP has more wealth handed out than any other I've played up to this point. But my PCs don't realize its mostly consumables. I mean 3 raise dead and at least 1 resurrection scroll have been given to the party since they never miss any treasure. (+28 perception in the party)

Any thoughts?

I'm sorry if this has been covered but my Search-fu is lacking. Is there anywhere where if allows a GM to ignore active threats to KILL an unconscious character. Weather is it a Coup da grace or just pounding on the guy while unconscious, it is wrong for a GM to simply kill a character. I think this falls under the "Don't be a Dick" rule but does that apply to the GM?

We have had the same GM in 2 back to back games where he has had creatures ignore Summoned creatures, ignore characters next to them (and provoke to move round) to kill another character when they were out of the fight for at least another 4 rounds (healer was out of the fight for 5 rounds the character went down the next round).

My question is basically this:

Can you learn (scribe into spell book/familiar) a spell like Fireball but have it a different descriptor like Acid or Cold? Maybe get it from an Admixture Wizard?

I have a Winter Witch and She can not even know a spell with the fire descriptor and I would really like to be able to use some big AOE spells like Fireball.

This may have already been addressed but when I searched for it I came up empty handed. probably searched for the wrong wording.

If you find a cursed item in a scenario does it have to be removed or can we keep it. On page 22 of the guide to organized play ( would link but my internet is down so I'm using my phone) says "all conditions gained during an adventure, except permanent negative levels, ability drain that does not reduce your score to 0, and conditions that provide no mechanical effect, must be resolved before the end of the session..."
I recently was effected by a cursed item during a game and I was wondering if I could keep it since it doesn't change much. (Don't want to spoil anything and I don't know how I add spoiler links)

So could a cursed item be carried over to another session? The gm didnt know so allow it until we get a ruling. I don't plan on playing him until I know so I can pay for the remove curse before moving on if needed.

17 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

I'm sure this has been answered before but i can not seem to find a Definitive answer. Barding costs 4x the cost of the armor for a large creature.

If i want to get Mithral chain shirt for my mount/large AC does it cost 1400? (1000 mithral + 100x4 Chain Barding)

Or does it cost 4400 (1100 (mithral chain)x4 barding)

Appreciate the help would really like an official answer before buying the armor.

I have a character who is thinking about getting Shield Mastery but his Shield is a Klar as per the rules in UE. I have already paid to make is a +1 attacking/+2 Defensive Klar so total cost was 6462 (2000 for +1 weapon, 4000 for +2 shield, 300 masterwork weapon, 150 masterwork shield, 12 for Klar) My plan was to get the defense up to a 4 or 5 becuase I only use it for one handing my Earthbreaker with Thunder and Fang feat.

My question is, Will I get the Full defensive bonus to the klar with Shield Mastery or does it not work because the Klar is a weapon and a shield?

Thanks for your time.

Does the increased lvl of your UNarmed damage increase by BOTH the Monk robes +5 to your lvl and the Braid which is +3 (iirc) So with both on your monks damage is effectively 8 lvls higher? My monk already has the Braid and I was thinking about getting the robes in the next few lvls.

Thanks for your help.

Im fairly new to the world of Pathfinder. But i have been playing for a few months and have a character to lvl 4 now. When i look on this website that character only has 5 chronicle sheets online.

I have all the Chronicle sheets ive played for every character i have and I was just wondering if it is common for GMs to fail to record games on time or ever. And should i worry about it or just keep all the sheets i have together with the character.

Thank you for a response and if this has been covered before im sorry i didnt have time to look though all the old posts.
