Hello, please cancel my adventure path subscription. Paizo makes a great product and I will continue to play Pathfinder from time to time with my group. However, I find that I don't often run the adventure paths these days and rarely plumb them for ideas anymore.

Thanks! It's possible I may pick up the subscription in the future.

I'm curious how Paizo handles collaboration in the office as well as with writers and staff that work outside of the office. Do you use a set of commercial collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote, EverNote, Google Docs?

A few of us are at the ground breaking level of creating a small publishing company to produce some material and we are considering how best to collaborate with one another. Sharing files, version control, file syncing, tasks, notes, commenting and conversations, these are all things that we are wanting in a suite of tools. How does Paizo handle such things?

Thanks for any helpful tips!

Hello Customer Service,

Please cancel my Pathfinder Pawns Subscription. I love the pawns but I'll likely just pick up a set/box of them on a as needed basis. Thank you!

Hello,

Please cancel my comics subscription. Thank you.

Hello,

I placed a pre order for the Bestiary Box quite some time ago. I had placed it in my side cart to be shipped with my regular subscription. Would it be possible to cancel my order of the Bestiary Box? I think I am going to hold off on buying it for a little while. Thanks.

Is there a way to auto-hide all avatars? I know some messageboards have this ability.

New Campaign!

I'm looking to start up a new campaign in a homebrew setting in the greater Nashua area of New Hampshire. We currently have 2 very excited and eager people in our group and are looking for a few more before starting up. This will be a weekly game, likely during a weekday. We are leaning towards Monday so far, but it's up for debate with any new members.

The game will take place in a newly created, homebrew world. Players will be able to provide some input to help shape the world they want to play in.

The game is going to be a very gritty, low magic setting. We are using a few house-rules along with the E6 rules. There's not too many changes, and players can be taught the differences on the fly.

If this sounds like something you are interested in, please reply here. You can also email me directly at astralplaydoh@hotmail.com Thanks!

The rest is going to be in character as I try to describe the campaign world.

You take a moment to check the lock to your room's door. Satisfied that it's locked securely, you reach into your pack. Pulling out a small envelope, your eyes become wide. Your hands shake as you carefully open the envelope and pull out the first slip of paper.

You read the first page:
Ignorance is not always bliss...

As you are likely aware, possession of this written record is illegal, punishable by at least a month in the dungeons of the Church. If you are found to be capable of reading and writing, the punishment becomes cleansing by way of the Church’s holy fire. The choice to continue reading is yours. Be vigilant and hide this record from the divine eyes of the Church.

Knowledge sets us free,
The Gray Scholar

Your forehead begins to sweat. Did the inn just get quiet downstairs, you think to yourself? It must be your imagination, you convince yourself.

You read the second page:
The Church has been closing in on us. Their terrible hands almost able to reach us. They call us the Corrupted. Such irony. They hope to keep the rest of the world enslaved by outlawing the written word. But, we'll not let the others maintain their ignorance forever.

Your handle trembles as you continue to read. The thought of what would happen to you if you were caught with possession of written words, let alone the blasphemy you are currently reading.

You read the final page:
We've been able to study some of the Blessed's magic to compare against our own. Thankfully, one of their own turned against the Church and sought us out for his own protection. We've come to the conclusion that there is no difference whatsoever. Our magic works the same way, comes from the same source. They...

Your reading is interrupted as the door bursts open, torn from it's hinges. A wave of heat follows the splintered remains of the door as it bursts inward. When the smoke clears, two robed priests step away from the opened doorway. Two armored figures pass the priests as they charge into the room. They quickly subdue you, dropping you to the floor. A bag is forcefully placed over your head. A terrible thump against the back of your head causes you to black out.

Hey everyone.

In another thread someone had asked for a time advancer. Something that could add 6 seconds, 1 minute, an hour, etc to a clock. They wanted to use it for both combat duration as well as campaign time tracking.

So, I made up a quick and easy Excel sheet with some buttons to do the job.

The time begins at 1/1/4708 at 07:00:00 AM.

Otherwise known as 7 AM on Wealday in the month of Abadius in the year of 4708.

Yup, the time tracker reports the date in true Golarion fashion.

Feel free to download it from here:

Golarion Time Advancer

You need to download it and run it in excel with macros enabled. It won't work in google docs. Have fun.

We are starting up Carrion Crown soon. I have a character idea in mind and I want to make sure it doesn't interfere with anything in the plotline.

I'm going to be playing a dwarven inquisitor. A few years back, the dwarf was attacked and left for dead by a werewolf, thereby afflicting him with lycanthropy. The werewolf left a long gash at his throat where he bit the dwarf. The professor (from the Player's Guide) found him in his near death state and nursed him back to health but, not being a cleric or having one nearby, was not able to cure him of his affliction nor completely mend his neck wound.

The professor made the dwarf aware of his predicament involving the lycanthropy. The dwarf now can only speak in an extremely gruff and raspy voice, due to his scarred larynx. The dwarf has grown bitter and resentful to most unnatural creatures and has taken up arms against them, becoming an inquisitor.

Now, I'm picking up the werewolf part completely for the RP. He's not a natural werewolf and won't be shifting into any hybrid or animal forms voluntarily. In fact, unless something changes in his character, he refuses to do so. Now, the full moon is a different story. He'll typically sequester himself away during the full moon so that he doesn't cause anyone harm. If for some reason this comes up during gameplay and he does transform unwillingly, I'd give up full control to the GM.

My question is, I believe werewolves do play a part in the third adventure. If I'm a werewolf hating inquisitor, who is also afflicted, do you think it will hamper the party or make some decisions impossible?

I've been dying to give E6 a try. This post is to see who might be interested in a weekly or biweekly game ran using the E6 system. For those of you unfamiliar, there's several threads in the Homebrew section of the forums about the E6 system.

The game would likely be ran using Maptools or some equivalent along with Skype. So, does this seem to strike anyone's fancy?

This is just the first step. We can begin to discuss the details of what setting to run, etc etc.

I have a few questions I was hoping people could answer.

1. If an ability says "ally", such as in the wording of Seize the Ability from the Tactics Subdomain. Does it mean that you are able to use this ability on yourself as well?

2. Can I use the Seize the Initiative ability on multiple people at the start of a combat? Let's say I have a high Wisdom, 30. That means I can use this ability 13 times per day. There's no chance of me ever seeing 13 combat encounters in one day. So does that mean I can use it on myself, the rogue, the cleric, etc in one combat?

Hey everyone!

I have a small group of players that is going to be switching from the adventure paths to society play in the near future. I was wondering if there are any other players or DMs in the area who are interested in meeting up for some games.

Chris

Anyone running any Society games?

This probably has been answered before, but a quick search revealed nothing.

Is there a limit to the number of class one can multiclass into? If so, where is this rule?

I'm about to post up some Pathfinder wallpapers that I made for my laptop. They are basically the iconics against a white background with the Pathfinder logo across the top. The iconics are against the right edge of the screen as I tend to put all of my icons on the left. I made one for each Iconic. I use Windows 7 and have it set to automatically switch to the next wallpaper every 15 minutes. It's cool.

I just wanted to make sure it's ok to post them all here. Don't wanna violate anything. They were all made from official stuff that was posted here. Like Iconic pictures, logos, etc...

I'll post one of them, and if it is a problem, I will take it down and not post the others.

Here she is:

Hey Paizo,

I love your Pathfinder stuff. My group has been devouring every little tidbit of it. A few of us have been tossing around the idea of making up a small publishing company to create some Pathfinder Compatible stuff.

We know that your artwork is yours, and you don't let anyone use it in products. However, we are curious about the background textures you use in your campaign setting/beastiary. Are those covered under the same rules as your art?

As I said, we want to make a few adventures, cards, pdfs, etc. But we'd like to keep them in the same style as your current stuff. If we're not able to use the same texture as yours, are we allowed to mimic your style in our Pathfinder Compatible products?

Chris

Hey everyone, let's try and get some level one premade characters generated for everyone to use.

Here are some of mine that I made while learning the PFRPG rules for Council of Thieves. Council of Thieves Premade

Added Bard and Cleric. Hope everyone enjoys them. If you see any discrepancies, feel free to let me know.

In the Beastiary preview Tieflings are listed. They are given the "Fiendish Sorcery" which is:

Fiendish Sorcery (Ex) Tiefling sorcerers with
the Abyssal or Infernal bloodline treat their
Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer
class abilities.

My question is. What is considered a class ability as opposed to a class feature? The term class ability really isn't used anywhere in the class section.

To that end, what exactly is the Fiendish Sorcery doing? Is it giving them bonus spells as if they had 2 more charisma? Does it increase the spell DC? Or is it only used on bloodling powers that say you can use the ability X times per day + your charisma modifier? Or does it affect all of these things?

Just trying to get some clarification for a player in my group that wants to make a Tiefling for Council of Thieves.

My gaming group will be running this new adventure once it comes out. I'll likely be redrawing most if not all of the maps in the adventure into maptools.

Anyone else out there planning to do the same? If so, would you like to work together?

I'm hoping to start running some of the Pathfinder Society adventures in the Southern NH area, specifically around Nashua, NH. I am currently running through Rise of the Runelords with my permanent gaming group and woud like to branch off to the Society Adventures. If anyone is interested feel free to reply here.
