About Akemi Shizuka

A relatively new member of the Pathfinder Society, Akemi Shizuka, or Akemi, is somewhat vain, though not too much so. She joined the Sovereign Court in an effort to use her enchantment skills to gain wealth and a title in this new land.

An enchantress and diplomat, Akemi actually grew up on the streets and had to work hard for everything in her life. While you might think that would cause her to appreciate how far she's come, Akemi has always been focused on going further in the world and having more because she started with nothing. When her sorcerous powers manifested, she used them to her advantage and soon drew the attention of the Sovereign Court. Intrigued by her magical potential and her ambition, they offered her a position in the guild. She would be sent from Tian Xia to Absalom and join the Pathfinder Society to further hone her skills and serve the interests of the Sovereign Court abroad. She accepted immediately.

A skilled liar and manipulator, Akemi will often use her magic and natural skills at deception to get her way. Confident and aloof at times, she enjoys the finer things in life. While adverse to combat in most situations (as she is a caster, not a fighter), she is willing to help when she feels her allies need assistance. Otherwise, she is content to stay on the sidelines and debuff when possible. She prefers intellectual puzzles and challenges, such as cryptograms, rather than brute force solutions.
