About Ailith Deorwyn
Born to Kellid farmhands in Nirmathas, Ailith was raised as traditionally as possible in that far-southern land. Her tribe was taken captive by Ulfen raiders and sold to Cheliax when her great-grandparents were children. The Kellids were then shipped to Nirmathas where they worked the fields and pastures, growing Imperial crops and herding Imperial sheep and cattle. Then, during the insurrection, the Kellid slaves eagerly turned their farm implements into weapons and fought side-by-side with the Nirmathi. They distinguished themselves with their bravery and fierce protection of the land, that the Nirmathi adopted them as kinsmen and fellow citizens in the new nation. The tribe still kept to themselves in what the Nirmathi referred to as the Kellid Commune, but they freely traded with their neighbors and worked the lands and herds without asking for much in return.
Ailith, upon coming of-age, served in the Nirmathi Irregulars--a tradition that grew in the tribe after the insurrection. But instead of returning home after her service to marry and raise children as tradition demanded, Ailith ran away to join the Pathfinders. She sees the isolation of the tribe as a death sentence. She wants to see what's out there before returning home to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation.
