SPECIAL ABILITIES
=================================================
Best Friend (Sandru) You are best friends with Sandru; you've grown up together, and while Sandru has had a much more exciting life than you so far, you hope one day to follow in his footsteps and see the world - or perhaps even become an adventurer yourself. You've picked up a lot from your friend, but particularly his skill in interacting with others. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Bluff checks, and Bluff is always considered a class skill for you. In addition, in situations where Sandru is in danger, you gain a +1 trait bonus on all attack rolls against foes that threaten your friend.

Change Shape (Su) Kitsune can assume the appearance of a specific single human form of the same sex.

Free Spirit You respect the feedom of others to speak as they will. Your rough-and-tumble youth taught you that everyone deserves a chance to say her piece. After all, you can always simply choose to ignore the speaker. You gain a +1 trait bonus on saving throws against language dependent and efects with the sonic descriptor. In addition, the DC to Intimidate you increases by 2.

Gregarious Even among your own kind, your gift for making friends stands out. Whenever you successfully use Diplomacy to win over an individual, that creature takes a -2 penalty to resist any of your Charisma-based skill checks for the next 24 hours. This racial trait replaces agile.

Kitsune Magic (Ex) Kitsune add +1 to the DC of any enchantment spells they cast.

Low-Light Vision Kitsune can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.

Low-Light Vision (Ex) You can see x2 as far as humans in low illumination. Characters with low-light vision have eyes that are so sensitive to light that they can see twice as far as normal in dim light. Low-Light Vision is color vision. A spellcaster with low-light vision can read a scroll as long as even the tiniest candle flame is next to her as a source of light. Characters with low-light vision can see outdoors on a moonlit night as well as they can during the day.

Lunar Mysteries You draw upon the divine mystery of Lunar to grant your spells and powers.

Magical Tail

Mantle of Moonlight (Su) Your innate understanding of the moon renders you immune to the curse of lycanthropy. Additionally, you may disrupt a lycanthrope's connection to the moon with a successful touch attack. This action automatically forces the lycanthrope into its humanoid form, in which it must remain for a number of rounds equal to your oracle level. Upon reaching 5th level, you can use this ability to force others into a rage, as the spell. Using this ability is a melee touch attack. You can use this ability once per day at 5th level plus one additional time per day for every 5 levels above 5th.

Moonbeam (Su) You can fire a ray of moonlight as a ranged touch attack at any creature within 30 feet. This ray deals id6 points of damage + 1 for every 2 oracle levels you possess. In addition, the target must succeed at a Fortitude save or become blinded for 1 round. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

Naive Your perception that everyone is innately good does not bode well in the heat of battle, when less scrupulous fes might take advantage of your misguided optimism. You take a -2 penalty to AC against attacks with improvised weapons and a -2 penalty to CMD against dirty trick combat maneuvers (see the Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player's Guide).

Natural Weapon (Ex) A kitsune has a bite attack in its natural form. This bite does a base of 1d4 points of damage on a hit. This is a primary attack, or a secondary attack if the kitsune wields a manufactured weapon.

Natural Weapons (Ex) Kitsune have a bite attack in their natural form.

Orisons You can prepare a number of orisons, or 0-level spells. These spells are cast like any other spells, but they are not expended when used and may be used again.

Prophetic Armor (Ex) You are so in tune with your primal nature that your instincts often act to save you from danger that your civilized mind isn't even aware of. You may use your Charisma modifier (instead of your Dexterity modifier) as part of your Armor Class and all Reflex saving throws. Your armor's maximum Dexterity bonus applies to your Charisma, instead.

Seeker Lore (Ex) By 3rd level, a seeker has already learned much about his mystery or bloodline, and is more comfortable using the bonus spells gained by that mystery or bloodline. He gains a +4 bonus on all concentration checks, on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance, and on all Knowledge (arcana) and Spellcraft checks made on topics associated with his bonus spells. For an oracle, this ability replaces the revelation gained at 3rd level. For a sorcerer, this ability replaces the bloodline power gained at 3rd level.

Spiritual Forester (Knowledge (Nature)) You grew up in a small settlement along the outskirts of the Forest of Spirits, and have learned much about the woods as well as about their supernatural inhabitants. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (Nature) and Knowledge (Planes) checks, and one of these skills becomes a class skill for you.

Tinkering (Ex) Seekers often look to ancient devices, old tomes, and strange magical items in order to learn more about their oracle mysteries or sorcerous bloodlines. As a result of this curiosity and thanks to an innate knack at deciphering the strange and weird, a seeker gains Disable Device as a class skill. In addition, at 1st level, a seeker adds half his oracle or sorcerer level on Perception checks made to locate traps and on all Disable Device skill checks (minimum +1). A seeker can use Disable Device to disarm magical traps. If the seeker also possesses levels in rogue or another class that provides the trapfinding ability, those levels stack with his oracle or sorcerer levels for determining his overall bonus on these skill checks. For an oracle, this ability replaces all of the bonus class skills he would otherwise normally gain from his mystery. For a sorcerer, this ability replaces his bonus Eschew Materials feat.

Wrecking Mysticism A divine entity has blessed you with a source of eldritch power that erodes your fortitude, increasing by 50% the duration of any poison, sickened condition, or nauseated condition affecting you. Whenever you would gain a mystery spell, you can gain Magical Tail (Advanced Race Guide 193) as a bonus feat instead. Once this choice has been made, it cannot be changed. You cannot replace a bonus spell granted to you by an oracle archetype with Magical Tail, even if it replaces a mystery spell. At 5th level, add minor image and ventriloquism to your list of spells known. At 10th level, add magic jar to your list of spells known. At 15th level, add project image to your list of spells known.

Background:

Aiga Nishioka was born near the Forest of Spirits in the Dragon Empires. However, she lost her parents when she was only a baby. She was later adopted by a human couple who believed that by adopting and raising this kitsune child, the spirits would bless them with much good fortune upon their arrival in Varisia. However, this was not to be. The family suffered one setback after another. This led to Aiga growing up in a broken home with abusive and neglectful parents.

It soon became so hard to bear, that she ran away from home, hitching a ride on a caravan owned by a woman named Koya and her adopted son Sandru. Sandru and Aiga became good friends, but eventually grew apart when she started a hedonistic and adventurous lifestyle. However, as fate would have it, the kitsune discovered she was pregnant. Upon telling her lover about the baby and revealing that she was a kitsune, her lover skipped town faster than the tears began roll down Aiga’s face. Aiga did what she could to raise her son, doing her best not to attract attention. When it became too much to bear, the kitsune thought about taking her own life and abandoning her son. Just before she drove the dagger through her heart, the pendant bearing the holy symbol of Daikistu, the Nine-Tailed Fox goddess of the kitsune, fell off its chain and landed in her baby’s lap. As the baby began to coo and giggle while playing with it, the full moon shone through the clouds and onto the baby.
Tears rolling down her face as she fell to her knees, dropping the dagger and embracing her child, Aiga saw that the Nine-Tailed Fox had taken pity on mother and son. While Aiga became blessed with powerful magics (not to mention some additional tails), she had a weakened fortitude. Nonetheless, Aiga sworn to raise her son and not abandoned him like so many have abandoned or let her down throughout her life.

Physical Description:

In her true form, Aiga resembles a tall kitsune with white fur, except for two black marks underneath her eyes. On her back, she bears numerous scars, a reminder of her adopted parents’ cruelty.

When traveling in human form, Aiga is a beautiful Tian woman with snow-white hair. In both forms, her eyes are a midnight blue color. However, in both forms, Aiga bears a crescent moon mark on her forehead. She also wears a pair of eyeglasses when she is reading.

Personality:

Aiga is a bit shy and stutters from time to time. She has huge abandonment issues, and the mere mention or thought of those she calls friends leaving her drives her to her knees in tears. She is friendly, but can be a bit clingy, and is overprotective of her son, Tsuki. She hopes she can give him a better life than she had.
