Agatha spits on the ground, but apart from that keeps her peace.
Her expression stayed blank. Still, she wished the loudmouth, self-righteous monk would shut up.

As the group moves away, Agatha says Elf, you should not be so abrupt with people. It is not always advantageous. She grins toothily. You should leave that sort of thing to orcs. We are better at it. Everyone always expects the worse of us. And you might break a nail. That would be terrible Her familiar monkey cackles at the comment.

Perhaps we can see this as a lesson learned, and we can avoid similar in the future. We should remember that this is a game, and enjoyment is key here. If something makes you uncomfortable, then we change course.

A lot of law in the 13th to 17th centuries was a fair bit hit and miss. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. It really depended on the ruler and his officials.

Agatha looks at Evindyl with some respect. seems like some elves aren't all light and laughter. Also never thought I would be the good cop. She turns her attention to the shopkeeper.

Public disturbance. Unsafe conditions. A fine is appropriate. Maybe a bane from selling. Perhaps a warning is better Agatha looks at Javor And no broken bones. Of course, the day is young. Her monkey snickered from its pouch.

Agatha for the first time seems to really pay attention to Javor. She stars at him coldly, long enough to make him uncomfortable. Then she smiles. This is the first time you have seen that, and it is...unnerving.
Agatha's version of light teasing

Even a bit of character interaction. Nice encounter. :)
Agatha is a rather by the book person, and she has little room for compromise. But she can be persuaded to be more lenient if someone thinks she is a bit harsh.

Fine them. If no money, throw them in lock-up. Kick them out of bar. Simple. Follows orders. The chief wants no problems. None of us hurt, so discretion on assault allowed. 40gp each, 30 plus 10 for attacking us. Within guidelines. Agatha eyes the halfling. Throw this one in for possible theft, if items not accountable She looks at the others. This was the most Agatha has said to this point. Well? Chop, chop!

oops hadn't realised combat had started Agatha moves forward, casts a spell at the dwarf Orcish:
shadow steal your strength, Dwarf ray of enfeeblement: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 DC 17 fort Critical hit!

Agatha stays in the entrance, baton out but by her side. She will stop anyone entering or leaving but otherwise will stand quiet. She notes with interest the flailing diplomacy of Dario. That could be the flashpoint. perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Agatha looks at the loudmouth Officer, says Uhuh and nods. She starts leaving. No need for information. Go to the Inn, subdue the malcontents, keep the peace. Baton work, maybe a spell or two. The orders were simple enough. Oh and no killing. It was like her tribe. Results matter, not the intent. The thought of her tribe, now long destroyed, saddens her for a moment. There is a concerned meep from her pouch. Agatha pushed the sadness down to deal with later. It did remind her of her epitaph. The Survivor. It was a sort of curse.

As Agatha stands to respond to the summons, she feels a string in the large pouch she carries. An inquisitive face pokes out She pats the head gently, and it emerges, climbing onto her shoulder. It is a small monkey. Scratching its head as she walks. It seems to whisper in her ear. She murmurs to it in Orcish
orcish:
Yes I know Little one. But back in the pouch. Our new chief may be disturbed by you It snickers at that, then returns to the pouch

Agatha looks at the man now seated beside her. Hmm. Varisian. Possible criminal background. Still...is companion now. Agatha clears her throat.
Then she adds

Agatha enters and looks about her. This is where they sent her. The chief was not happy about the way she had dealt with the giant woman. Breaking her kneecap seemed like a good solution at the time, but the fall into the jewellery store wasn't part of the optimal results. And then her master (a rather important and annoying wizard complained about the harm to her apprentice (the giant woman) saying that the spell would have worn off in a minute or two. Maybe three. Ten at the outside.
Sighing she weighed up her new companions. Too Noisy by far. She quietly sits. I'm Agatha |
