Background:

Aerŷn Blȧkkrrǫnd carries her Grandfathers Shield and Axe alongside his Bastard Sword. Despite her being of a younger age than her comrades she has proven to be a more than capable scout and hunter for the Army of the Ironbound Archipelago. She is known to be a strong defensive fighter.

She was raised by her Grandfather after her parents were slain by some Fey Insurgents that slipped into her home village. During this time her Grandfather spirited her away to the relative safety of the Ironbound Archipelago. She was constantly being taken out hunting & being trained for War. Her focusing on Defensive Warfare is a result of this combination of Events. She refuses to let her comrades fall on her watch.

Her goal is to someday defeat a Linnorm and become a Linnorm King herself.

Appearance:

She is fair of skin & hair. Her hair has been bleached nearly white do to her staying in the light of day most of her life. Her average build hides her Strength. She appears younger than her Age.

Her fair skin has areas covered in Blue Markings. A sign of her Mother hailing from Varisia and having innate sorcery. Her Mother was a tattooed sorcerer.

Her Shield is a large heavy Black Leather bound solid piece of Sculpted Wood. The Bastard Sword is mad of Cold Iron as dark as the Night itself it even seems to drain away any light that touches it. Her Axe is the Standard Fair of many Sailors.

Her Breastplate is a specially designed Leather Wrapped Steel Breastplate designed to aid in silencing her movements through the woods. Her Cloak & typical Clothing are made of Heavy Leather & Fur.

Class Abilities:

Ranger's Focus(Ex): 1/Day Swift Action Aerŷn gains a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls against the target of his focus. That creature remains her focus until it is reduced to 0 or fewer hit points or surrenders, or until she designates a new focus, whichever occurs first.
Track(Ex): Aerŷn gains +1 to Survival checks made to follow or identify tracks.
Wild Empathy(Ex): Aerŷn can improve the attitude of an animal. This ability functions just like Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. She rolls 1d20+2 to determine the Wild Empathy check result. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use Wild Empathy, she and the animal must be within 30 feet of one another under normal circumstances. Generally, influencing an animal in this way takes 1 minute, but as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. She can use this ability to influence a magical beast with an Intelligence score of 1 or 2, but she take a -4 penalty on the check
