Kitten Weight Races:

Lenore continues to grow at 2% per week. I am concerned for the world cat food supply.

Mephisto Z. Meatball just broke 9 pounds. I am concerned for every breakable object in our house.

Morrigan just broke 6 pounds. Her ginormous weight has not slowed her down one whit.

So, GothBard was trying to make a "cat tier list".

S Tier: Pussywillow, Sekhmet, Calliope
A+/S- Tier: Calypso (my little bear. I'd argue, but GothBard is probably right)
A Tier: The Fluffernutter
B Tier:
C Tier: Sama (Bringer of Death), The Cranky Calico (she was actually a decent cat until her final few years)
D Tier:
F Tier: Pearl. (Two brain cells: "Eat. Hide.")

So, where do our new cats fit in?
Morrigan, aka Stripey: Solid A. Maybe even an S. Has HUGE promise.
Mephisto Q. Meatball the Magnificent, aka Blacky: Most likely a C.
Lenore, aka Fluffy: "I think we need to introduce an SS tier."

The most effective manipulator is up for S+ tier. Top class cat behavior.

And my answer was, "I have no idea. YOU made the appointment. I hope YOU know or all we're doing is petting kittens for an hour."

Isn't that enough of a reason?

Yes.

D'awwwww.

EDIT: Note, this post is entirely non-political. It's strictly about SCIENCE (more specifically, the Sci Show.) From what I can tell, the politics thing seems to have been within the last week? I'unno.

The COMMENTS, on the other hand, are 100% political. And almost all of them are from the last week or so.
What have we said about reading comments?

No not all threads are great and you know that. Any time someone starts a thread about Metallic Threads it ends up in a huge flame war and the moderators have to step in to stop it. How starting a thread about Cotton Threads? That's something safe and reasonable and you felines love that stuff.

Saying cats love safe and reasonable just reveals you don't know much about cats.

so it snowed Saturday night into yesterday morning, not much just 2 inches, and despite living in a city we have a nice little field behind our house (we're almost downtown too, which makes it even rarer!) so i took our Beagle Peaches out to chase field mice, and the dumb ass dog is sitting there digging into the snow and turf going after this field mouse den while literally 2 feet behind him 15-20 lil mice are popping out of one hole in the snow making a mad dash 10 feet to another hole, the whole time Peaches is completely oblivious to what happening behind him.
An excellent example of why I love snow and cats.
