No sooner does Aamiri speak than the cavalry arrives. "No worries...we've got this." she says with a smirk that conveys both amusement and annoyance.
"It was fantastic working with each of you." Aamiri says to her companions on this journey. "It is often difficult for me to trust new people; but you lot made it easy. I hope the Society sees fit to have us work with one another again someday."
"Well that was fun." Aamiri breathes heavily and deeply as her rage subsides. "So when do our reinforcements get here again?"
Aamiri slips into a rage and attacks the giant at the bottom of the stairs.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26
Damage (Powerful Blow): 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (5, 6) + 18 = 29
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 7) + 16 = 30
That's fine...I thought the giant was at the bottom of the stairs from a previous post and the debris was on the steps themselves and not at the base of them.
Aamiri slips into a rage and charges the giant at the bottom of the stairs.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (13) + 15 = 28
Damage (Powerful Blow): 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (5, 3) + 18 = 26
Grabbing two of the giant bane arrows into her bow, Aamiri looses them at the giant.
Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23, Damage: 1d8 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + (1, 3) = 9
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18, Damage: 1d8 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + (4, 1) = 10
As Aamri sets traps (as many as we have rope between us) she discovers that much of the rubble lying about can also be used to compromise the footing of an unsuspecting giant. She places rubble in strategic locations around each trip wire.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 (to search for other resources for traps)
Survival: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
"Rather than dawdle here at the bottom of the stairs...perhaps we should set some traps? Maybe run a few lengths of rope across some of the steps in order to trip our would-be assailants?"
"We should explore that statue further. It showed signs of birds living there. Or some creature with an inordinate amount of feathers."
I doubt I have enough time left on the potion to go back and forth carrying everyone up...so I guess we're better off venturing up the stairs together.
Aamiri flies down and tells her companions about the bird droppings on Karzoug's statue.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Aamrii flies up to finish the harpy.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (6, 4) + 18 = 28
Will save..yes?
Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Aamiri tries to knock the bird from the sky.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30, Damage, Powerful Blow: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (4, 4) + 18 = 26
...and if I'm close enough for a full attack:
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28, Damage, Powerful Blow: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 1) + 16 = 23
Crit check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26, Damage, Powerful Blow: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 2) + 16 = 24
Aamiri double moved...can't attack until next round. I might not quite be within melee range yet either.
Aamiri double moves straight up in an attempt to pursue the harpy. Fly speed 120 feet
Is Aamiri up?
Aamiri retrieves her Potion of Fly and gulps it down.
"If at first you don't succeed...shoot the birdie down!" Aamiri says as she draws her longbow and shoots.
Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29, Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Seriously Paizo...you don't give the 7th level Barbarian pregen a composite bow???
How embarassing...if it makes a difference my roll should have been 1d8+5+5d6. I think I have a few minutes to correct it. Yep, I did and I did!
Aamiri hurls her Javelin of Lightning at the newly arrived harpy.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29, Damage: 1d8 + 5 + 5d6 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (1, 2, 1, 1, 3) = 19 DC14 Reflex for half...and what a sad damage roll for a 5d6!
Will: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
"OK...who is singing?"
Aamiri steps closer and attempts to pummel the giant.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 5) + 16 = 27
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (5, 5) + 16 = 26
Feeling tougher than ever, Aamiri charges in after the giant.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33, Damage (Powerful Blow): 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (4, 1) + 18 = 23
Confirm: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21, Damage (Powerful Blow): 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (7, 4) + 18 = 29
Yeah…my posts are bit infrequent during the weekends; luckily the wife is working today so I get some "me" time!
"Before I rush in there…is anyone planning on filling the cave with flames or something?"
Power Attack/Rage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 1) + 16 = 24
Power Attack/Rage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (3, 2) + 16 = 21
Confirm: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (3, 8) + 16 = 27
Aamir- lashes out twice more at the fallen giant.
"Giants are much easier to hit when they are lying down." Aamiri rages and moves in to attack the fallen giant as well.
Power Attack/Rage: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 6) + 16 = 29
Aamiri takes a five foot step and unloads on the second giant.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (1, 6) + 18 = 25
Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (3, 2) + 18 = 23
Power Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (6, 4) + 18 = 28
Feeling the Haste flow through her, Aamiri slips into rage and charges the giant on the left.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 16 = 35, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (5, 6) + 18 = 29
Critical Check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (6, 5) + 18 = 29
Aamiri is busy cleaning her sword as the others talk. She soaks in what is said but makes no effort to participate in the conversation. She's funny that way.
Wouldn't my natural 20 have hit?
Will: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Aamiri reels from the Scimitar strike but feels no less wise. She strikes back with vengeance, sidestepping another five feet.
Power Attack - Surprising Accuracy: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (8) + 18 = 26, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 3) + 16 = 25
Power Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (1, 6) + 16 = 23
Power Attack: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 1) + 16 = 24
Aamiri blinks as Miakovna disappears...shaking her head as she reappears. "Neat trick, that. Not very effective...but neat!" Aamiri shifts five feet to her left and attacks.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 6) + 16 = 28
Power Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 1) + 16 = 23

Crit Check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (8, 4) + 16 = 28
Aamiri closes in on her foe allowing her rage to take over. She stops parallel to Elizabeth and makes a quick strike with the hope of both of them being able to sidestep the creature before the next strike for a more strategic position.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31, Damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (2, 3) + 18 = 23 (Powerful Blow)
Aamiri has never felt more alive...
[b]"Just in case you haven't sussed this out for yourself I'm a woman who doesn't like to have to repeat herself. So in a clear voice you will accurately tell us everything we need to know and, as a reward, you may keep your head"[/b{
Intimidate: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
"I have great powers of persuasion."
I'm considering picking up a Nexus just for that app. Excessive? Maybe. Impulsive? Definitely!
"I will agree to leave them for the time being; but I will not leave this place until they are free. If their minds are enslaved by this cult we must break those chains as well...although that is outside my area of expertise."
"These people in chains...we must free them." Aamiri states matter of factly. It is evident that the sight of human beings in captivity disturbs her greatly.
Aamiri kicks the man's flail away from him and drops back behind her companions. She lets go of her battle rage and begins breathing shallowly. She will recover while her comrades deal with the cultist.
The breeze created by the cultist's missed fall shot fanned the flames of the caster's fire damage. Ignoring the cultist for the time being she attempts to take out Heshlak.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 1) + 16 = 24
Power Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (8, 3) + 16 = 27
[ooc]Should the first shot take down Heshlak I'll make my second attack against the cultist with Powerful Blow for another 2 damage.
Aamiri moves up to the barrier and readies an attack on Heshlak for when it drops. "Oh...I am more than ready!
Readied Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (5, 8) + 16 = 29
Aamiri steps back to guard 1. "There, see? I told you I wouldn't forget about you!"
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 13 = 22, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 2) + 16 = 25
Aamiri looks up at cultist 1. "I'll deal with you in a moment." She then takes a five foot step forward in the hopes of finishing off guard 2.
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (12) + 15 = 27
Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (4, 7) + 16 = 27
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (7, 6) + 16 = 29
Aamiri slips into battle rage takes a five foot step forward and tries to take down the guard before he gets a chance to hurt Ms. Elizabeth who was tripped up by that fellow in black.
Power Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (2, 3) + 16 = 21

Crit Check: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12, Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (2, 6) + 16 = 24
Sword drawn, Aamiri follows the group.
I did Origins twice (2004 & 2005) and then GenCon for two years after that. My first year at GenCon was probably one of my all time favorite gaming experiences; my second year was one of my worst. I'd love to go again someday but other things take priority these days.
Mike...do you want my Goblinworks free mini certificate?
"Enjoy the belt Kyra...mine has served me well."
