![]() So where do we stand? Earlier in the thread Vic mentioned that missing limbs shouldn't make it past quality control. Actually before I continue I'm REALLY impressed with Paizo staff's responses in this thread. Seriously, you guys are amazing for being up front and communicating directly to your fans/customers. Getting back on track, I've got a Knight of Ozum here missing an arm, which sucks because unlike my other mini that was just broken off of the base, I can't glue it back on because the arm is AWOL. I put in for a replacement on WizKids' website four months and all I've gotten back from them is their weekly spam newsletter. So what now? Assuming the meeting with them went really well, what's next? More importantly, is there that realistically can be done? ![]()
![]() Martial classes are definitely the way to go as long as the party has a reliable source of healing. If you roll up a Barbarian, make sure you have sources of Rage regeneration. Such as Destroyer's Blessing, Fore Fiend, and/or my personal favorite Raging Deathblow. Assuming you make it to level 11. Spontaneous casters like the Oracle and Sorcerer are going to really enjoy their extra spells and versatility, as well as lack of spell preparation in the morning. ![]()

With Throw Anything anything is a potential thrown weapon. But regardless the answer is still no. Now add in Quick Draw and some greatswords... ![]()
![]() Not in my opinion because it would be akin to a Light Weapon, which doesn't benefit from being used two-handed. Here we go! :D According to the D20PFSRD wrote: Light: A light weapon is used in one hand. It is easier to use in one's off hand than a one-handed weapon is, and can be used while grappling (see Combat). Add the wielder's Strength modifier to damage rolls for melee attacks with a light weapon if it's used in the primary hand, or half the wielder's Strength bonus if it's used in the off hand. Using two hands to wield a light weapon gives no advantage on damage; the Strength bonus applies as though the weapon were held in the wielder's primary hand only. An unarmed strike is always considered a light weapon. An arrow would be akin to a Dart, but improvised so maybe 1d3, 20/x2, Range: 10ft? Unless you have any of the plethora of improvised weapon feats which would improve it. ![]()
![]() I'll join in with my two cents as well if that's ok. I've picked up a couple of the Rise of the Runelords minis and today I grabbed one of the Reign of Winter sets. I don't know if WizKids plastic is cheap and brittle or what, but so far I have two broken minis. Imgur link here. No spoilers :) The one of the left arrived missing an arm, so we put in a replacement request at the WizKids website...four months ago. Haven't heard anything yet, and I doubt we will, but they were nice enough to sign us up for their email spam. The one on the left was broken as shown, but at least I can glue it back together. While it isn't as bad as the mini in the discussion linked above, one is still missing an arm and the other didn't survive shipping to my local game store. I'm phenomenally disappointed with these minis. To be frank, the second- or third-hand D&D minis I order from Troll and Toad or Noble Knight Games arrives in better condition, AND they will credit you for any damaged minis within 24 hours. Not that this is Paizo's fault at all, but the company they chose to handle their line of minis just isn't up to par :( Which bums me out because I REALLY love the Pathfinder fluff, characters, monsters, and iconics. :( ![]()
![]() I'd love to see some more detail on the ancient frozen ruins of a civilization that pre-dates the Azlanti and Aboleths. I find the idea of something that ancient a little terrifying and REALLY interesting. Anything on the the upper frozen wasteland that's above the Crown of the World would make pretty happy actually. But yeah, older than ancient ruins in a place that's virtually uninhabitable? I'd buy that. Link for the interested. It was referenced from the Inner Sea World Guide 206-207. ![]()
![]() We've been building custom magic items >.> I know it's super cheating, but if you use the Magic Item Gold Piece Costs, you can create all kinds of AC. Deflection AC (The best kind in my opinion) is only Bonus Squared X 2000GP
A little easier for us since one member of the party is an item creation wizard. I dunno, work with your GM? You could use the Class Based Defense/AC bonus that D20 Modern implemented, or use the d20 Game of Thrones combat system, they have cool iterative parrying system. ![]()

One of my PCs has been doing this for our most recent campaign. Except he's using two +1 Keen Kukris. He doesn't actually dual wield much, if ever, and his talent/feat selection is a tad different, but the build is disgusting. We're doing Rise of the Runelords and he damn near 1-shotted a boss once. >.< I had an idea for a Cleaving Knifemaster Kukri Rogue that might interest folk too. Orc Fighter 1 / Rogue 19. The basic idea is to get Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Surprise Follow Through, and Improved Surprise Follow Through. Improved Surprise Follow Through:
So yeah...cleaving d8 sneak attack doom? Might be an idea :P That said, Knifemaster Scout = A rogue that's outdoing my Mobile Fighter with an Elven Curveblade. ![]()

![]() James, Hello there! I hope you're doing well! If not, that sucks, I'm sorry. I was just looking over a couple of my favorite d20 settings the other day and I was wondering if Paizo had any plans to pick up a license for a Pathfinder-y version of someone else's product? Like how Sword and Sorcery had a World of Warcraft d20 game or Wizard's and Star Wars. Also, is there anything up here in Canada that you wish you had in America? ![]()

Statastics
Started with an Armored coat and two Scorpion whips. So at later levels it's Disarm, two feats activate Serpent Lash (Get a free Disarm attempt at for adjacent to Disarm victim) and Break Guard (Swift Action attack against first disarmed foe). And that's all a Standard Action. So Disarm->Swift Action Attack against target->Free Disarm against foe adjacent to first victim. I'm still contemplating swapping something for Greater Trip, but he's only level 4, so I have time to consider. Oh, and I gave him a pet Falcon for Flavour :D |
