Pathfinder: Kingmaker Definitive Edition comes to consoles on Tuesday, August 18! The new edition will take adventurers to the Stolen Lands and feature all previously released content packs, as well as a brand-new turn-based mode

The wild and dangerous Stolen Lands lie in the northern reaches of the River Kingdoms, realms ripe for the taking! Yet those who would become rulers of these new lands will soon learn that claiming a kingdom and keeping it are two different beasts. Can the heroes protect their lands from jealous and deadly enemies?

Join the launch stream at 20:00 CET / 11 AM PDT where Owlcat Games team members, Paizo Pathfinder Creative Director James Jacobs and Paizo’s Director of Brand Strategy Mark Moreland will be introducing all of the new features coming to console and PC. Mark and James will be talking about the lore behind the game as well. We’ll be giving away some free console codes too!

I'm looking forward to this. Maybe this time I'll actually finish the game.

Same here, haven't been able to get past Chapter 2 because I get distracted by other games...

I think this game hitting consoles is really a chance for Paizo to market their product. RPG's have always been one of the bigger markets for videogames and I hope Paizo is really getting behind this and marketing it as best as they can.

Pathfinder becoming a mainstream name like D&D should be the goal with this especially with the game being such a great game.

I tried this game on the PC. I couldn't get past the first combat. I couldn't figure out how to do it. Gave up after 30 minutes. Haven't played it since.

With the turn-based mod (that is being included in this new edition) the game plays pretty similarly to real-life Pathfinder. I was a bit lost on real-time combat but once I used turn-based all my knowledge clicked in and it was fun and challenging.

I finished the game under the old semi-real-time mode, enjoyed it a lot. I'll probably stat up a new character and try it again under the turn-based system. But as a huge fan of the paper-and-pencil Kingmaker, this was a lot of fun, similar enough to feel comfortable with enough changes to still feel novel.
