Hey everyone, just a heads up that I leave for a week on April 25. I'm taking 95 students on a trip to Europe, and internet time will be limited. We can absolutely be done in time with some dedicated posting. I'll prioritize this game (and one other SFS game.)

Does t he Arcana check only regulate the amount I could receive or other information about what is going on?

I don't have any interest in gaining Temp HP myself.

I would like to share what I learned with the others, of course, but not sure to what extent that is permissible. I also don't want to risk violating any mega-game boundaries.

I'm pretty sure we did the Northwest room but it never got revealed. It should be where the third pedestal was.

Southwest was the first room we entered with the first pedestal and sarcophagus

Just to clarify, the bottom of the walkway around the room is 40' above the floor. How high is the ceiling?

Are we able to plan any? Are we going to stay up here or go down to floor level? Fernard's chosen cantrip and 1L spells for the ARCANE THESIS: STAFF NEXUS: are Light and Gentle Landing. His Staff of Elemental Power has 11/11 charges so anyone can get down with ease.

To clarify, the center of the room with the enemies is a pit 40 feet below us, and we're on a walkway above? Do we see any easy way down like a ladder or something?

Not sure of what the souse of the darkness is.

Fernardo and I think at least 2 others have Light spell linked to them that is cast at 4L.

Light:
two-actions; Cantrip; Concentrate; Light; Manipulate;
Range: 120'; Duration: until your next daily preparations
You create an orb of light that sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius (and dim light for the next 20 feet) in a color you choose. If you create the light in the same space as a willing creature, you can attach the light to the creature, causing it to float near that creature as it moves. You can Sustain the spell to move the light up to 60 feet; you can attach or detach it from a creature as part of this movement.

You can Dismiss the spell. If you Cast the Spell while you already have four light spells active, you must choose one of the existing spells to end.
Heightened (4th) The orb sheds light in a 60-foot radius (and dim light for the next 60 feet).

NOTE: I scrolled back through. Looks like only Ghirka and Grog do not have one of my Light Spells. That makes all 4 I can cast without loosing one.

Their scream is what layered the bottom layer in darkness. If one of your light spells goes down, we'll see the interaction.

I will note I could throw some AoEs down into the pit with the shadow fiends very easily but I need to know if people down there are okay with friendly fire cause I can't see where anyone is down there the best strategy is just to burst damage the entire area.

Thank you all! I really enjoyed this one. I like exploration and dungeon crawling more than political intrigue, so it was a fun return to form.

Yeah if they had actually been able to do much from inside the darkness I'd have tried that but as things stand repeatedly debuffing/nuking was the right call this time I think.

Great game everybody and thank you oh gracious GM for making sense of that.
