Please dot and delete to get yourself added to the game. We will be using Google Slides for maps and RPG Chronicle for reporting info. You may post your player name, character name, PFS number, faction, and other reporting info here if you REALLY don't want to use RPG chronicle.
In my GM's profile, there's short GM philosophy of mine (that I first wrote in PbP GM school). I would encourage people to give it a read especially if you are unfamiliar with my GM style. By continue to participate in my game, I will assume you have read it and find them tolerable, and will expect you to act accordingly.
Anyway, I think an out-of-character introduction to what your character can do would help everyone get more familiar with their teammates.

Heya heya heya, I shall be rounding out the party! The question "with WHOM?" still remains, and will depend on my getting a closer look at what we've already got.
Seeing as we're quite plainly headed for the higher-Tier, I might consider:
- a 9th-level Nun
- a 9th-level Sorcerer*
- a 9th-level Bard*
- a 10th-level Arcane Archer
OR
- an 11th-level Illusionist
* = I see we've already got one of these, but I'm betting mine will be quite different!

Oh, Nota Bene (I meant to mention before): I will need to spend a Replay for this.

Pick whoever you want to play the most/you will have the most fun playing, or pick whoever you think would be best for succeeding in this mission. And they're not necessarily mutually exclusive.
Here's the short description for this scenario that's public info, which may help you pick your character of choice:
An active cell of the cult of Lissala—ancient goddess of runes and obedience—has been discovered in the Varisian town of Palin's Cove. Seeking a chance to learn about this long-lost faith not from millennia-old relics but from its current practice, a team of Pathfinders travels to the industrial seaside settlement to uncover the secret coven and infiltrate its services in the guise of prospective converts.

Swapping out to someone with no mount as an important class feature.
Name: Skurge

Special: Always acts in the surprise round, can full attack on move or less from mount (mounted skirmisher).
Warrior from closest thing to Asgard, Land of Linnorn kings, has a butchering axe and orc hornbow. Currently does not wear armor but I am working on that. Has a tiger mount but will not be bringing for this adventure.

Blaise does fire, lots of fire. He has Blood Piercing which will drop the target's SR or ER fire by 7, but started adventuring early enough that he doesn't have some of the cooler options from later books.

GMs for any other game, you may begin when you are ready (hopefully within 24 hours for most games). If a character signed up in your game is in another game that is finishing up, please be flexible and delay your start slightly if you are comfortable doing so. If you're not sure, please reach out to a PbP VO for advice or assistance.
I do want to remind everyone that no character can be in more than one game at the same time.
Have fun, everyone!
Just letting you guys know that I will be swarmed by GM duty and other Pathfinder games I'm playing this weekend (and other IRL commitments), that I can only really start our game in Monday.
That being said, feel free to introduce your character in the Gameplay thread, and I will try to find time to give you guys the mission briefing block text so that you guys can do some preparation.
| GM_Colin |
As the Paizo forum seems to spontaneously combust whenever someone trying to be productive, we are going to take it slow in the beginning until the website recover.
However, Google seems to work just fine. On the Google Sheet there's a character info page that I would like you guys to fill out (it's rolling templates of Perception, Init, and saving throws for GM), and most importantly, upload your token! Let me know if you need help with that. Custom token are welcome. (I personally used the tokens from my VTT games when I play PbP)

I take it you must have a Boon for those or something?

Rather than illegal, call it restricted access.

Sorry guys for the inconvenience, I just realized that I GMed this scenario a while back and gave my GM credit to Andor already. So I talked to GM Colin and will bring Kioshi into this game.

So this fellow's a Pathfinder too; what's his character-level? In case it should come up, I get a bonus to Diplomacy and Intimidate checks on him if he's my level (10th) or lower.

So you're 10th level, which means 5 level/HD feat from 1,3,5,7,9; and 4 level of fighter will give you 3 bonus combat feat, for a total of 8. Yet I counted 10 feats on your character sheet. Could you point me to where the bonus feats comes from?

Well, one's from my Wizard levels; Society Wizards all get Spell Focus at 1st level (instead of Scribe Scroll), which I retrained.
As for the other...well, you'll notice there's a '*' next to my Dodge feat, and I myself have been struggling to remember what I meant by that. Maybe it was a Fighter bonus feat I'd meant to trade out at my 4th Fighter-level, but I'd been waffling about it and had forgotten to finish the process by the time I next brought him out? That's the best I can think of, but it does seem a little unlike me. I was wondering if I had a Boon or an item that gave me a bonus feat, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
This has been an uncommonly-bad week for me.

I'm afraid you can't do that, or at least retrain to something that's not a Spell Focus.
If the old feat is a bonus feat granted by a class feature, you must replace it with a feat that you could choose using that class feature.

Is it possible that you played this scenario:
#4-12: The Refuge of Time
It gives a bonus feat with some side effects.

I know what it is, but I didn't see it on his boon list or the associated item in his inventory though.

Out of the question. I played that Scenario with a completely different character - and believe it or not, he took the high road.

I had a lengthy reply to this, but the damned Flaky-Forum wouldn't let me keep it.
Abridged Version: I see reason to think what we're talking about here is NOT the same category of thing that this rule had in mind - note that it says "bonus feat granted by a class feature" (e.g. Fighter feats, Sorcerer Bloodline feats), not 'bonus feat as a class feature'.

Class features you can retrain are as follows (some entries also call out other retraining options that are significant for the class in question, such as retraining feats for fighters, skill ranks for rogues, or spells known for sorcerers).
Wizard: Retrain your arcane bond by replacing one bonded item with another, replacing your bonded item with a familiar, or replacing your familiar with a bonded item. See also retraining feats.
Wizard's bonus Scribe ScrollSpell Focus feat is very clearly not on the list of options allowed to be retrained as a class feature.

If you choose to look at the problem that way, it's not on the specific list of class features you can retrain.
Quick summary: you can't retrain the spell focus given to wizards instead of scribe scroll.
You can fix the character, play a pregen (if there are any at an appropriate level), or leave the game. You cannot play an illegal character. You also cannot play this character at any other games in this lodge until you fix the problems.
Edit: GM Colin answered part of this before I did, but I'm leaving this post up for clarity

Get better soon!!

If everyone would join hands in sure we can help Tomasz with the next step of his journey, as long as he's willing to join us.
Blaise can carry for extra people with him through a dimension door, the party plus Tomasz. With 800 ft of range we can get outside of the building easily enough.
At CL10 I believe D Door can move you + 3 others. We have 4-men party and Tomasz to transport out if you all leaving by teleport. Obviously, if you take more than 1 round, the guard will certainly notice and react accordingly.
I guess Kioshi can Dimensional Slide away so Blaise can D door with Tippa, Skurge, and Tomasz.
I will move us forward if you confirm your plan of action.

Looks like most people are going with the original I proposed with least resource expenditure.
I will be travelling and attending a local convention this weekend, and they don't have good internet on the venue iirc. I will try to post an update after I got home Sunday, or if I'm too tired, Monday. Thank you for your understanding.

Hey! Unfortunately, I can’t make posts properly, but knowing that our rescued person was a Dhampir, Kioshi would buy a scroll of daylight and prepare that spell twice.
Would be great if we could slow down a bit until Sunday so I can check what Kioshi would do? Or at least allow me to make preparations? Sorry about that and thank you.
