The gaav hisses at Kit and twists away from her claws at the last moment. It rears back with it's spear to stab the offending catfolk. In doing so, it exposes it's back to Cuthalian's arrows. The creature drops down in a heap to the floor below with a dull thud.
"Yeah, two of the lumpy, stupid ones!" calls out Isald as she tosses Theren a wet towel to aid his efforts to stamp out some of the fire. "After we get this done, I sure would appreciate it if y'all would head down to the cellar and go get 'em!" Together, they manage to put some of the flames that had begun to spread out and keep the original contained for just a moment.
But only for a moment. An overconfident Jack manages to make things worse and displaces some of the fire with water. It quickly ignites several smaller fires to the north. "Ah, lad, no! Gotta snuff it, not drown it!" the dwarf chastises him.
Niccan sees just the thing to snuff the grease fire, a huge sack of salt nearby, and the heavy curtains behind the small stage in the corner. Vegazi sees Niccan staring at the curtains as she approaches the scene and moves to pull them down.
Round Twelve
Everyone is up! I figured that Int check was all about whether Jack knew what would happen if he tried that lol. Niccan's check was pretty good, I'm going to give everyone a +2 circumstance bonus on their survival checks. Remember water is good on any fire except the one with the red dot.

In response to Niccan's question Isald points to the corner, where the flames are blocking the way downstairs at the moment.
The circular stairs leading down are in the corner of the kitchen. The blue-dot fire is currently blocking the way. That's not really a full action, so Niccan and Kit are still up!

Kit's fern seems to have little impact on the fire, merely scattering soil around the floor. The dwarf turns and sticks her hands on her hips while giving the cat folk a look that clearly asks, "Really?"
Theren's wet blanket, plus Niccan and Jack's magically gated water, manage to extinguish the flames, likely for good. Vegazi shrugs and drops the torn curtains, then rushes toward the stairs.
Islad turns to Niccan and says, "If you can stop them fools from breakin' too much, you can keep my...secret stash." She clears her throat and explains there is a loose stone at the far end of the basement and that beneath it is a smattering of treasures from her brief time as an adventurers.
Round Thirteen
Everyone is up! The map has been updated and the cellar revealed, since Vegazi is halfway down. The stairs "overlap" on the map, so it's just a total of fifteen feet of stairs from floor one to the cellar.

The oracle grimaces as he finds he's still not understood. Jack shakes his head violently side-to side, then stops.
"Miss Forgemore! Are you okay? Have you been injured?"

The elemental flies ahead of everyone, where it just barely misses the lemures. Theren is just behind the elemental and the others all begin to file into the basement.
Vegazi, moves off the stairway to the stone floor of the The Blissful Badger's cellar and raises her bow. She launches an arrow at the lemure, but it glances off the devil's blobby torso. "I forget. Silver these?" She asks with some uncertainty before the lemure heads directly for her with one filthy claw raised. It scratches her, but fortunately it is not a serious wound. The other lemure lashes out wildly at the spritely elemental, but is unable to make contact.

Both of Cuthalian's arrows take chunks out of the lemure, which hardly notices Theren's attempt to hack into it and has absolutely no understanding of why Kit'arr ducks around the paladin to move behind it. The arrows draw thick ichor-like blood, but it is Kit's claws raking it's throat that ends the devil's flailing existence on the prime material plane.
At the far end of the cellar, the two outsiders continue their back and forth tussle, but with neither opponent managing to cause any harm to the other. Now that she doesn't have one of the ugly devils threatening her, Vegazi is able to do what the lightning elemental cannot and pumps one of her last few silver arrows into the lemure's back. It howls in pain, but is entirely focused on Niccan's summoned elemental.

The paladin ends the devilish threat to the Blissful Badger with finality and flair.
Not far from one of the two halves of Theren's lemure is the loose stone Isald mentioned, and beneath it is a simple canvas sack containing a variety of interesting items. A pair of water purification sponges are stuffed between an excellently crafted crossbow and an equally well-made buckler. A pair of bottles containing an oily liquid and arcane magic scroll are also in the bag, as well as a gleaming silver charm in the shape of a bird. "Pretty," Vegazi says, smiling and pointing at the silver bird.
There is still action in town, where the raid is on-going, but take a little time to catch your breath after that extended scene. Under the assumption someone will use detect magic: the buckler, raven, oils, and (obviously) scroll are enchanted.

On his way back upstairs, Jack touches Vegazi's shoulder and casts cure light wounds.

Seeing the last devil put down Niccan looks around and listens. He calls the elemental back to him. "We probably should head back up. There's probably more, maybe outside?"

Theren has no need for rest when there are devils to slay, nor does he need armor when he has his blade. He takes the stairs back up.

Theren rushes to help deal with the continuing threat, bursting out the back door to the Blissful Badger to see a flock of gaavs soaring overhead and lemures mindlessly roaming the main street and town square. The citiznes of Arwyll Stead are no strangers to fighting invaders, so civilians and the town's Scouts work side by side to contain the menace.
Seeing the paladin, Mayor Proum waves and calls out. He is flanked by a pair of tough looking miners. "Whatever the hell has been going on out there has come to town! Some people say it was a devil, others said it was an orc who lead this raid. The one thing everyone agrees on is that they were seen heading into the town's catacombs. That means they're trapped. There isn't any way out of there. I have no right to ask, Sir Theren, but the Scouts are tied up trying to restore order..." the mayor says, asking for help without asking.

Niccan follows after Theren, puffing hard running, trying to keep up, obviously failing.
"Catacombs. They're trapped there? Of course. Where!" He waves to the elemental. "Go with Theren. I'll follow as fast as I can."
Niccan doesn't want to slow the group down, but he knows he can't move as fast as they can.

The mostly naked oracle follows the group toward the catacombs. Jack grips his longsword for sanity. The longsword. Weapon against Evil.

At least I have you with me, Jack thinks to himself, not sure if he's referring to his weapon or his silent goddess.

Theren is ready to lead the charge to the catacombs.

Theren rushes across the town, followed quickly by Jack, the elemental, and Vegazi. The mayor looks at Cuthalian's bow and hands him some strange arrows with wide, tubular shafts. "They contain blessed holy water. It might help. Good luck."
There are five raining arrows. They are -2 to hit, but targets struck take normal arrow damage plus count as being hit with a vial of holy water, including having the potential for splashing adjacent targets.
The catacombs were built in the earliest days of the mining town's founding, and the entrance reflects those blue collar roots by resembling a wide and tall mine entrance. The ceilings climb to fifteen feet, helping to alleviate any claustrophobia. Empty torch sconces can be found every twenty feet.
A pile of boulders, broken rock, and rubble blocks the main passageway through the catacombs where the ceiling collapsed. On either side of the hallway, five-foot-wide passages lead into other areas.
The map has been updated. As the text above indicates, the main tunnel has a blockage (the rubble looks like it's old and settled) forcing visitors to go to one of the narrow passages to the north and south.

At the catacombs, "As soon as Niccan gets here he can give us some light. I can see pretty well in the dark, but I still need some light."

"I have Darkvision, as does my elemental. But I know some people need light underground."

Theren advances. While he's handy enough with the elven compound bow, he prefers close quarters like this, even without his armor. "Stay close! Move swiftly and strike hard."
Theren also has Darkvision and no gear :P

Eager to try out the new arrows, he nocks one. Then, letting Theren and Jack move on ahead he falls in behind to centralize the light.

Theren moves forward, flanked by the Niccan's elemental. When he comes to the intersection and looks to the north he sees a larger chamber with passages leading off to the east and west. The chamber itself has several small niches carved into the walls, most of which are filled with funerary urns. Some of the cubbies nearest the floor have had their urns disturbed and in some cases smashed.
To the south are smaller chambers that appear to contain standing sarcophagi. The walls are worked stone, as opposed to the more roughly carved repository to the north.
Vegazi moves forward cautiously, staying close to everyone and trying to keep Theren covered with her bow.

Jack doesn't think there is any religious significance to the burial arrangements. Instead, his best guess is it is more about class and/or wealth.
Theren can see there are two small sarcophagi rooms east and west of the one he walks into. They do not look to extend farther in those directions than the one chamber in each direction.
