The Sneak would actually only work against creatures you’re hidden to, which is none of them. You would need to take the Hide action to become hidden. Legendary Sneak just means that any clause in Hide and Sneak referring to cover or concealment doesn’t apply to you (and that is VERY significant). So you could Hide right in front of someone and have it work.
Ajoran teleports to Kemp and tries, and fails, to Demoralize him. moving some tokens around since Suryo is in a different spot.
Janna moves forward and sends a psychic bolt at Torvald! I’m aware of the “ignoring resistance” thing; in the initiative card I’m just gonna effectively increase that damage by 4 just so it’s easier for me. The numbers come out to be effectively the same.
Suryo tries to Tumble Through, but Torvald’s tentacles suddenly lash out in an attempt to grab Suryo!

Crit, only because of the frightened from Yujin. Not gonna bother rolling the save for the greater frost, because it’d only last until the end of Ajoran’s next turn, so it wouldn’t actually make Torvald lose any actions.
Also, if that Encage in Tentacles went off, he would’ve been able to bring Suryo along in that translocate! Which, again, only didn’t happen because of the frightened.

Once Jakalyn’s favored are away from the docks and in a sufficiently-secluded spot, they begin going through Torvald’s book.
The book itself seems to be half-ledger, half-journal-of-comings-and-goings. The book contains the names of several visitors to Mediogalti, as well as their business being there, and how much they paid in taxes to enter Ilizmagorti. Torvald’s notetaking is meticulous and extremely detailed.
Something of particular note about the notebook is to whom Torvald reports this information that he gathers. He most frequently reports his intel to city authorities—usually members of the Blood Guard, but occasionally to a Red Mantis agent directly—given that he is an indirect agent of the Red Mantis, this makes sense. However, in the past several weeks he’s also been reporting his intel to a second person: one Sister Maeri.
If you critically succeeded, open the spoiler below
The back cover of Torvald’s book has a flap of paper attached that creates a makeshift pocket. Inside the pocket is a folded-up note that seems to be written in some kind of cypher that combines the languages Diabolic and Empyrean. Ajoran, as the only one familiar with both of those languages, sets out to work on deciphering it.
While Ajoran is not able to parse out the exact word-for-word, he is able to understand the general gist. The message contains descriptions of five individuals—Ajoran, Janna, Suryo, Yujin, and Vatum (at least his human form)—and that Torvald is to keep an eye out for them entering the city by sea. The last bit of the message seemed particularly important, so Ajoran spent a little extra time making sure he got this phrase correct:
If you catch them, the new blood mistress will doubtless be pleased and may well grant you an early reprieve from the servitude terms in your contract.
This is hard evidence, which can be presented to the Vernai to support the assertion that there is a conspiracy to oust Jakalyn.
What do you do?

DC20 Society(E): 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (12) + 23 = 35

I've heard the name Sister Maeri. She is the abbess of the Hospice of Serenity. I know where it is. It seems a little unusual in town in that they actually look out for others there, but that's really just cover for our organization to keep an eye on the downtrodden and passing adventurers. Sister Maeri worships two very different facets of Achaekek: His subtlety and trickery, as well as His fanatical fire for bloodshed.
He thinks some more.
No doubt the Vernai may use it to look out for us. We must be supremely careful if we approach it. Perhaps establishing a safe house is in order.
Janna Ravanos
Janna is shocked, and then angry at the contents of the letter.
"I don't think there can be any "if" about whether we approach the abbess. She is mixed up in this, and if she wrote that note, she is as good as dead. "New blood mistress" indeed, it's sickening."
A few deep breaths though and she cools off.
"You're right though we do need somewhere safe to rest, and gather if separated"
What would it take to find somewhere suitable? Renting a back-street hovel from a low-life that we threaten into silence perhaps? Or maybe a secluded place in the island if getting into and out of the city isn't too difficult?
Huang Yujin
Society: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (20) + 18 = 38
"I agree with both those points. I don't want anyone knowing where we are resting while in Ilizmagorti. Let's find somewhere abandoned, or if we can't, find a home with someone that won't be missed."
"Afterwards, we should pay this Sister Maeri a visit."
GM Xavier Kahlvet
Y’all are level 15 and this is Ilizmagorti; securing a safehouse is basically handwaved.

The Hospice of Serenity is a grandiose building—atop its 15-foot tall roof are four 40-foot-tall minarets, as well as a large copper dome at the building’s center.
As the group arrives at the Hospice, they find it suspiciously lacking in activity. For the foremost healing sanctuary in the city, there is very little activity. The doors are closed, and the windows covered with thick curtains. Glances through the thick curtains reveal that the interior furniture is covered in white sheets, and that there is not a soul inside the building itself.
What do you do?
Suryo Lestari
Suryo looks upward to see if there's a safe vantage point he could use to peer into the building.
Invisibility + Winged sandals
GM Xavier Kahlvet
I would like to know what the rest of y’all are doing before I proceed with Suryo’s actions.
Huang Yujin
Yujin will search the surrounding area for a person to question, preferable a street urchin who keeps his eyes on the neighborhood. If she finds one, she'll ask pointed questions. "Does the Hospice of Serenity still open its doors? When is the last time someone went in or out of the building? Has anything strange been happening nearby?"
Let me know what rolls I might need to make. Or you can roll them for me. I don't care.
Janna Ravanos
Janna grabs Suryo's shoulder before he takes off or goes invisible. She holds up a finger for "wait", despite having cast Hidden Mind on him this morning again.
"This could be the headquarters of the heretics, I think we should assume the worst. If it's trapped or guarded and they take you out, it will weaken us. I think we should stick together. Give Yujin a chance to learn something before we move in"
Janna leans heavily on her "walking stick", trying to look the old woman her disguise paints her as. If she gets a moment of cover from onlookers, she'll cast See the Unseen from her staff, the better to examine the building for any hidden dangers.
Ajoran Livara
Ajoran nods towards Janna. "If we're going in, we should go in as a team. I know some formations and hand signs to help keep us coordinated and unseen. And we should learn what we can outside before we venture any closer."
If given a bit of time, the aasimar will attempt to see if there's been any recent foot traffic to or from the Hospice.

"Does the Hospice of Serenity still open its doors? When is the last time someone went in or out of the building? Has anything strange been happening nearby?"
”Huh? Yeah, it’s been closed for the past couple days. Something about airing out the weight of death and suffering.”
If given a bit of time, the aasimar will attempt to see if there's been any recent foot traffic to or from the Hospice.
Ajoran notices that there has been some amount of foot traffic, but significantly less than would be expected. It seems that building is not completely abandoned.
As the group gathers back toward the front of the Hospice, something in the air suddenly feels wrong…

As Janna scans the surroundings, she notices that they are being watched. Four Red Mantis assassins are on the roof of the abbey—two at the minarets and two above the main entrance. And there are two more at the other two minarets that I placed on the map for transparency’s sake, but there’s no feasible way for anyone in the party to actually be able to see them from your position. All of the assassins look down directly at the group with longbows drawn, arrows nocked, and ready to fire!

◆◆ Phantasmal Calamity: 11d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 1, 6, 1, 6, 2, 1, 3, 1) = 33
GM Xavier Kahlvet
Is Suryo "intersecting" with the shell of the spell, or just safely standing inside of it for now?
Circles into squares; you’re not intersecting it. I’ll change how it’s shown on the map to make that clearer.
Suryo turns invisible and hunts Sister Maeri.
Additionally, you know that Sister Maeri trained in ways similar to the Claws of Achaekek—a group of warpriests that specialize in wielding only a single sawtooth saber in combat with deadly efficiency. While Maerie may still be a woman of the cloth cloistered cleric, she still picked up on the warpriests’ abilities to wield their weapons. Deadly Saber When Sister Maeri wields a sawtooth saber with nothing in her other hand, she increases the damage die size of the weapon by one step and deals an extra 2d6 precision damage to off-guard creatures. When she critically succeeds at an attack roll with a sawtooth saber, she applies the weapon’s critical specialization effect (off-guard until the start of the wielder’s next turn).
Ajoran then exploits Maeri failure, so only personal antithesis (not that you’d expect an elf cleric to have a weakness). He then casts a spell to bring calamity down on Maeri! Based on your wording, I think that positioning of the spell would only affect Maeri, Blue, and Purple.
Blue: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (6) + 21 = 27
Purple: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (19) + 21 = 40
Orange and Yellow—two assassins the PCs weren’t fully aware were there—each ◆◆ cast translocate to teleport over to the northeastern minaret. They then draw their arrows and fire at Yujin! Surprise Attack: since Yujin hasn’t gone yet, she’s off-guard to them.
◆ Orange vs. Yujin OG w/cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (9) + 22 = 31
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 7) + 7 + (1, 3) = 21
◆ Yellow vs. Yujin OG w/cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 7 + (6, 5) = 26
Gonna move Yujin to be the top of the round for my own sake. It’ll be effectively the same thing, I just won’t have to write “Round 1 --> 2” every time.
At this point, Sister Maeri shouts ”One of them is invisible!” Because of Suryo’s high initiative check, he beat Maeri’s Perception, so she didn’t really know he was there, even after he went invisible. As far as Maeri is aware, there’s only three of y’all (Janna failed her check to Sneak while invisible, so Maeri know she’s there).
Blue, Purple, and Green nod, and each ◆◆ Enhance Vision from their masks of the mantis to see the unseen, but are then confused when they don’t see an extra person. However, because of Legendary Sneak, they still don’t know where Janna or Suryo are.
They then draw arrows and fire at Yujin!
◆ Green vs. Yujin OG w/cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (18) + 22 = 40
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (6, 8) + 7 + (5, 6) = 32
And as the arrow pierces Yujin, a deadly toxin seeps into her bloodstream!
Yujin Fort: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (18) + 24 = 42 Critical Success
◆ Blue vs. Yujin OG w/cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (7) + 22 = 29
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 7 + (4, 6) = 22
◆ Purple vs. Yujin OG w/cover: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (6) + 22 = 28
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) + 7 + (4, 6) = 26
Red ◆ Strides over and shoots down at Yujin! It’s a longbow, so unfortunately the penalty from the volley trait applies.
◆ Red vs. Yujin OG w/cover; volley: 1d20 + 22 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 22 - 2 = 35 Thank the volley
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 2d8 + 7 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 4) + 7 + (1, 2) = 15
◆ Red vs. Yujin OG w/cover; 2nd, volley: 1d20 + 22 - 5 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 22 - 5 - 2 = 16

Yujin teleports out and summons a mist onto the assassins. Adjusting your position a bit because I don’t think you had line of sight to that point on the roof from your position, due to the elevation difference. Also, Quickened Casting only works on cantrips (of any rank) or 6th-rank or lower spells, so I’m just gonna adjust that sanguine mist to be rank 6 (so it’ll do 10d6, or 35 damage from what you rolled).
EDIT: Deciding to go the easier route, per Yujin's suggestion in Discussion, of quickening the translocate and casting the 8th-rank sanguine mist.

You channel your zeal through a sacred weapon, bringing a foe closer to their demise. Strike a target with the required weapon. On a success, the target becomes doomed 1 or increases the value of their doomed condition by 1 (most living creatures die when they’ve reached doomed 4). Creatures doomed in this way take a status penalty to their saving throws against divine spells equal to their doomed value.
A creature that would become doomed 4 by this Strike can attempt a Will saving throw against your class DC to avoid increasing the value of their doomed condition. When this occurs, this ability gains the incapacitation trait.

Your opportunistic attacks are particularly detrimental. When you use Debilitating Strike, you can apply two debilitations simultaneously; removing one removes both.

@Suryo: Adjusting your turn a bit so you’re not, y’know, inside the cloud of mist that drains your life force.
Suryo flies over to flank Orange and attacks! Both hit.
And adjusting Ajoran’s target: Ajoran heals Yujin then attacks Orange! Suryo then retaliates with a backstab!

Huang Yujin
Yujin wants to reciprocate and heal Ajoran but he is surrounded by enemies. So instead, she tries to clear some enemies out of the way first.
Yujin lets the mist fade, then stands and conjures her whirling flames upon as many enemies as she can.
Casting whirling flames on Red Mantis Assassins (Blue, Green, Purple, and Red) (Basic Reflex DC 36). (Orange circles on the map.)
Fire Damage: 11d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 2, 1, 3, 4, 5) = 40
Then Yujin activates her crimson shroud to start patching up some more wounds.
◇Kip Up

Janna Ravanos
If Sister Maeri were just 5 feet closer Janna would seriously be considering a Psi Catastrophe here
Riding high on the ecstasy of the psychic energy flowing through her, Janna spins unseen and slashes out in a balerina dance of blood.
At Red and Purple
◇ Activate Shadow Signet to target Fort DC
◆◆ Amped Imaginary Weapon
Spell Attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (16) + 26 = 42
Slashing, Unleash: 16d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 6, 8, 8, 1, 8, 1, 8, 8, 7, 7, 2, 6, 2, 6, 3) + 16 = 103
If that's a crit she'll detonate the weapon to push them back 10 feet
Spell Attack: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (2) + 26 = 28
Slashing, Unleash: 16d8 + 16 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 8, 5, 4, 8, 4, 5, 1, 7, 1, 3, 3, 3, 1) + 16 = 77
Then feeling the flow start to subside, she reaches out to try to patch up some of Ajoran's wounds.
I've already established she's holding the saber and her staff, so she'll have to let her staff drop
◇ Release Staff
◆ Battle Medicine

Her hands are already starting to shake though, and it's all she can do to avoid making it worse.

Janna summons forth a massive burst of force that explodes and takes out Red while missing Purple. Imaginary weapons is a ridiculous psi cantrip. I get the balance is that it’s a melee spell, but jeeeeeez.
Yujin then summons fire upon the assassins! It’s actually DC 35, since you’re sickened 1
Blue: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (11) + 24 = 35
Purple: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (9) + 24 = 33
Yujin Bleed: 1d6 ⇒ 4
DC 15 flat: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Sister Maeri narrows her eyes as she ◆◆ casts a 6th-rank truesight. I believe we established that Janna cast hidden mind on Suryo.
Hidden mind vs rank 6 truesight | rank “9”: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (16) + 26 = 42
Sister Maeri vs. Suryo 4th-rank invisibility | Not a nat 1: 1d20 ⇒ 17
She then pulls out a shuriken and throws it at Janna! Reload 0, so Striking with it is the same action as drawing it. And yeah, the truesight saw through the invisibility because I didn’t roll a nat 1 on the counteract check.
◆ Sister Maeri shuriken vs. Janna: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (20) + 28 = 48
Piercing Damage (doubled from crit): 1d4 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
And the toxin on the shuriken makes its way into Janna’s bloodstream!
Janna Fort: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (16) + 25 = 41 Crit success
And technically it hasn’t been 2 full rounds, so Janna is not stupefied yet. So… Janna then glares at Sister Maeri as she ↻ casts blood vendetta!
Sister Maeri Will: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (4) + 30 = 34 Well slap me silly, the cleric failed a Will save.
Sister Maeri persistent Bleed: 8d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 1, 2, 4, 6, 6) = 36

Can we get to Doomed 2 for once?! :D
Suryo stabs again at the doomed assassin.
◆ Zealous Inevitability (DC34) ORANGE
◆ Strike: +2 keen greater striking sawtooth saber (magical, twin, agile, finesse, keen, wounding): 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (17) + 28 = 45
slashing damage: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 5, 3) + 3 = 14
sneak attack precision damage: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9
1d6 persistent bleed (wounding)
You channel your zeal through a sacred weapon, bringing a foe closer to their demise. Strike a target with the required weapon. On a success, the target becomes doomed 1 or increases the value of their doomed condition by 1 (most living creatures die when they’ve reached doomed 4). Creatures doomed in this way take a status penalty to their saving throws against divine spells equal to their doomed value.
A creature that would become doomed 4 by this Strike can attempt a Will saving throw against your class DC to avoid increasing the value of their doomed condition. When this occurs, this ability gains the incapacitation trait.

He sneak-flies in between two of them and draws storm flash.
◆ Sneak 5ft, flying (Secret Stealth +30, legendary)
◆ Interact: draw weapon
Ajoran Livara
The multiple stab wounds cause Ajoran to stagger for a moment, coughing up a mouthful of blood. His best healing is spent, but his ally is up. Now is a time for killing. He produces a small vial with dead insects inside; these assassins are but pests meant to die.
◆ Exploit Vulnerability vs Green
Esoteric Lore (Dubious Knowledge): 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (7) + 28 = 35
◆◆ Twin Feint
+2 keen greater striking sawtooth saber vs Green (enfeebled 2): 1d20 + 28 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 28 - 2 = 34 damage (empowerment, exploit, enfeebled 2): 3d6 + 11 + 6 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (2, 4, 6) + 11 + 6 + 9 - 2 = 36 frost damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
+2 keen greater striking sawtooth saber vs Green (enfeebled 2, vs off-guard): 1d20 + 24 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 24 - 2 = 24 damage (empowerment, exploit, enfeebled 2, twin): 3d6 + 11 + 6 + 9 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6, 3) + 11 + 6 + 9 - 2 + 3 = 39 frost damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3
If Green is dead by the time my turn comes up then all that stuff will target Orange instead
GM Xavier Kahlvet
Suryo slices his saber at Orange, cutting into the assassin and killing them!
Ajoran switches his attention to Green and attacks! Y’all have basically seen the extent of what these assassins can do, so I’m not really gonna bother with the pseudo-Recall-Knowledge made as part of Exploit Vulnerability. Suryo then quickly backstabs in response!
↻ Suryo storm flash Opportune Backstab vs. Green OG: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (9) + 28 = 37
Piercing Damage; Sneak Attack: 3d6 + 6 + 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) + 6 + (5, 1, 1) = 17 Electricity Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
And this causes Green to fall as well!

And Blue knocks Ajoran to the ground!
Purple does a ◆ Prayer Attack against Yujin!

EDIT: Y’know, I’m gonna make the executive decision here that Ajoran would have cast blood vendetta on Blue’s first successful attack, since he didn’t have a living exploited target.
